About Me: (James Todd Johnson) was born and raised in Newark OH., but now lives in Nashville TN.. He goes by his middle name Todd, but uses his full name to make a very ordinary name less so. Todd has been singing seriously since his teenage years. His musical influences are varied and eclectic, but feels his vocal strengths are best suited for the musical stage, and singing in church. As a young man Todd's deep rich vocals landed him leading roles in high school, and community theater. Todd supplied the voice of the man eating plant (Audrey 2) in a production of the musical (Little Shop Of Horror's), and also played (Jud Fry) in (Oklahoma). Todd mostly played the villain roles because of his deep voice, and tall stature. Throughout Todd's 20's he would spend much of his time touring the church circuit, and traveling with the gospel group - Festival Of Praise and (The Spurrlow's). Todd has spent most of his thirties away from the music scene, only singing occasionally. In 2002 he joined forces with gospel artists (Keith Brown) and (Sandra Payne). Together they recorded a demo of 70's and 80's cover tunes. Todd is now in his 40's, and his latest project is a collection of Hymn's called (The Solid Rock). 10 classic songs that will touch your heart, and move your soul. Todd has come full circle, and is very happy to be back where he belongs. Thank you for your time, and interest. God bless!
