The Holy Spirit and you
NIV Romans 8:16
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
Feeling all alone
It’s interesting that in this life, even while professing to be Christians, there still stands the temptation of feeling all alone. Sometimes we feel that no one really cares about us or for the mission that God has called us to do. When those most dear to us seem to distance themselves, at a distance they remain. We feel isolated, cut off from the vibrancy of mainstream Christianity of today, when Satan sends the winds of doubt and the spirit of confusion our way to discourage us. It is in those moments that the Spirit of God testifies to our own spirit that we are truly the offspring of God (Romans 8:16), the voice within moves us to cry “Abba, father”. You see many of us began this journey when we believed that Jesus died for our Sins and better then that he was raised from the grave, but for some of us that’s all we know. In light of all that God has promised and done for us we still feel alone, but the true reason is we don’t really know who the Holy Spirit is and His relationship to us. Every Sunday millions upon millions attends Church and enjoy the moving of God’s Spirit in the worship service, but can’t seem to follow His lead in their daily living. That’s why we entitles this section “Knowing the Holy Spirit personally”, so that you may grasp the basic components of your relationship with the Holy Spirit.
