We have to stay focused on our dream. Dream: our God-given vision of the future that God wants us to live. God gave you a dream. He tells us what He wants us to do vocationally for Him by putting  a vision deep in our hearts. For instance; some people as young as 10 know they are musicians. How? They recognize a deep yearning, a pull a deep irrefutable draw to do something.  In addition God gives us the ability to complete the job by equipping us with gifts and talents.  We must stay focused on this dream. We have to keep our minds fiercely focused and firmly set on things above.

We must like Jesus keep our eyes on the prize: God's will for our lives. God has a vocational will for our lives too. He said in Ephesians 4:1 I beseech you as a prisoner of God, to walk worthy of the vocation where ye where called. How do you know what vocation you were called to? Look at your gifts? Exhortation, teaching, administrations, servicing, ministering..  God may place a gift of exhortation and put in in the field of music. But the gift according to scripture is exhortation. God may take a gift of exhortation and place in the field of public speaking, but the gift is still exhortation.

What are we to do with this? Paul teaches Timothy to give himself completely to his exhortation. I Tim 4:12 Till, I come give attendance to reading, exhortation, and doctrine. TAKE HEED UNTO YOURSELF. That is what Paul scolded Timothy to do about his purpose. In other words pull yourself together, get that wandering mind disciplined and focused.

Focus focus focus. What is the call? What must you do today, this week to stay focused? Focus on one thing today regarding your calling. You have to speak about, pray about write about converse about and be about your dream. This is the work that will give God glory vocationally in your life.

So what can you do? Go get a pen, and some paper. Or open up a word document while you are reading this. God to YouTube, and play some music you really like, write out the vision. Hab 2:2 and take the action that rises up in your spirit.  Just write a little bit. Just a sentence... my vision is to be a motivational speaker on network television. Write it down and wait for God to instruct you.  But you stay focused. Focused. focused. focused.
