On the big, beautiful Island of Hawaii grows one of the most delicate little plants seen on planet earth. This plant is called 'Sensitivity', and is a member of the Mimosa family. Its name is derived from the movement it makes when anything, including a sudden change in the wind, comes near or across its path. This minute, small, spiny stemmed tropical American plant grows close to the ground. Unless you are directly upon it, you cannot distinguish it from ordinary grass or weeds growing in the same area, and it can easily be crushed underfoot.

As the sun rises in the South Pacific, this remarkable tiny Sensitivity plant opens itself as wide as it possibly can and reaches up towards the warmth of the early morning sunbeams shining down from heaven. This is when this wee drooping plant has a brilliant, built-in defence mechanism that causes it to quickly fold itself over and withdraw from anything that might cause it harm.

However, you and I know or should know, that SENSITIVITY cannot distinguish between a lawn mower rooling menacingly towards it to cut it down from the man coming by to make certain it is protected!

Each of us has a built-in need to protect ourselves from danger and those who would potentially harm us. As Christians, God gave us His infallible Word as a manual, a road-map to equip us to be aware and sensitive of the evil ways of the enemy (satan), and to prepare us to know how to protect ourselves.

We have the confidence as God's beloved holy children that we can reach up to Him every single morning, even when it's raining or snowing, and receive His warmth, His agape love, His provision, His protection, His promises, and His anointing for the day ahead of us.

Our God has blessed us with His divine Sensitivity, but we must be sober and alert by using the tools (His Word; Prayer; Worship & Praise), He has provided for us in order to reinforce Calvary's victory over all our adversaries. How fortunate for us believers that God not only understands our every sensitive desires but knows them even before we do!

With faith and trust and being sensitive to the leading of His precious Holy Spirit, change can lead us all to a manificent, manifold blessing - AMEN & AMEN!!!
