JAVELINS FROM THE PULPIT (Encouraging Word)
Description: 4/11 Javelins from the Pulpit (1 Samuel 1810-11) There are Davids
in ministry that God has sent to help its leaders. Some have
allowed the spirit of jealousy to take over and instead of seeing
their Davids as help, see them as an enemy. These things should not
be. The encouraging word and video devotional with Minister Jeff
Fannell. For others visit www.ongoodground.org Distributed by

The church (in my mind) is like a battlefield...and you have GOT to know your stuff. After I listened to your message, I thought of the movie, "Gettysburg". You know, Lt. General James Longstreet tried to advise General Lee that his plan would not work, but General Lee would not listen, and consequences happened. Why? Was this a power struggle? Longstreet was right...and so it is with/in the church. I have experienced this. When a pastor begins to see that "others" or someone else in ministry is having a more profound effect on the church body, he gets nervous. He does not like that. Why? Jealousy? Afraid he might lose something? No one is trying to take-over. Ministry-minded people are what they are in CHRIST...not what is going on in someone else's mind. (God bless you bro).
