Thank you. I know one who really cares. So one day at a time, no matter what's from my way. I'm not giving up for it, no matter what others say. With the Lord at my side, I'm never alone. I'm destined to win. So step by step, I'll take it. One day at a time. Hey, Jason LeBaron back with you once again. This time around, this week, I learned about fear. Yes, fear. Fear is not something for the Christian to have in their lives. It's something that the Christian should get out of their lives once and for all and never worry about it. But for me, that was something I struggled with a little bit this week. Pass your jig. Pass your jig. That's right. You got a letter. Got a letter. Uh, I get plenty of letters, Ms. Jones. Oh, no, no, no, I like this one. I like this one. So, what's so special about this one? Read it, read it, read it, read it. This is from the show American Icon. Yeah, yeah. Ms. Jones, this letter is opened. Yeah, yeah. You do know that opening someone's mail is a federal offense, don't you? Okay, yeah, yeah. Okay, okay, yeah. Okay, okay, what is this all about? Oh, they heard you singing, and they want you to compete on the program. Well, how did they even find out about me? Well, I sent them a video of you singing Sunday morning on my phone. Miss Jones, with all due respect, how dare you go behind my back and do that? Guess what? They absolutely loved you. That makes absolutely no diff... Uh... They... they really love me? Oh, yes. And just think, there will be about 300 people there. there. Three hundred? Oh yeah, and don't forget about the millions that are watching you on television? M-m-m-m-m-m- millions? Oh, no, no, no, no. Forget that. I ain't doing that. Oh, come on. You can't reject that invitation. No, no, no. You just watched me. Come on. Talk to me. Why don't you want to do this? Look, it's one thing to sing praise and worship in church. It's a whole other thing to sing popular songs on a TV show. Okay. On Sundays when you're singing, are you singing to the congregation? Well, no, I'm singing to God. Well then, what's the difference if you use your platform or their platforms and you use the American icon to bring out the glory of God? Oh yeah, sure. American icon is going to let me go on their program and sing praise and worship. Right. Oh, that's where you're wrong. Read the letter. They want your style of worship on the show. You know Ms Jones I kind of scared about going on this show Well remember when you preached last Sunday about God has not given us the spirit of fear I'm just saying, hey, something to think about. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Welcome back to American Icon. Now on stage singing Amazing Grace, no longer a slave, Jason LeBaron, or as he is known to his congregation, Pastor Jay. Amazing grace How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me For I once was lost But now I'm found Was blind but now I see No longer a slave I've been in a sad place My Savior Ransom me Hallelujah Alleluia to the Lamb. May sing praise from the great I Am. Oh, and we've been there, tens of thousands of years, bright shining as the sun. We know there's days to sing our prayers Than when we're first behind No longer a place of being set free My Savior ransom me hallelujah to the sound amazing grace the great I am No longer stay, I'm being set free. My Savior, ransom me. Hallelujah to the Lamb. Amazing grace, the great I am. Amazing grace, the great I am. Thank you. Well, home at last. You know, God, I just don't understand it. Why would you make me go on American Icon just to lose? I don't get it. I don't understand it. It makes no sense to me. It's, I don't know. I just don't get it. I guess I never will. what the 6,000 new emails what in the world am I getting spammed here or what's going on Pastor Jay I saw you on American Icon and I wanted to tell you how much of a blessing it was to hear a Christian song for a change keep praising the Lord and I'll be praying for you. Kelly. What? Dear Pastor Jay, I have never really been a fan of Christian music, but when I heard you sing Amazing Grace, No Longer a Slave, it made me want to listen to more Christian music. Thank you for sharing the gospel and song. Brett. This is unbelievable. Greetings, Pastor Jay. I saw you on American Icon. When I heard you sing this song about being set free by God's amazing grace, it made me think about my own life. I'm proud to say that I went to church and I asked Jesus into my heart. Now I really know what the song meant. Thank you for your willingness to share the love of God to me and to others. Blessings, James. Okay, God, I got it. I understand. It's not about the money. It's about this. I get it. Wow. Unbelievable. Fear, a deadly emotion for the Christian. But you know what? Interestingly enough, in 2 Timothy 1 and verse 7, it says, for God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind that is what God has given us it reminds me of Joshua when he was looking at the promised land and he knew God wanted his people the Israeli people to take the promised land he said we got to send out some spies so that they can see what the land is like and if we can possess it He sent out the spies and some came back and they said Oh it impossible We cannot capture this land There's giants there and we're just like grasshoppers in their sight. They'll squash us. They'll destroy us. We cannot do it. But there were two interesting spies that came back and they said, ah yeah, there's giants in the land but we also saw all the good stuff that's in the land and you know what? we know with God we can do it we can perform the miracle God can bring us the victory if we trust in God if we put him first and we go with God God will bring us the victory and Joshua heard the faith of those two spies And he said, let us go at once and possess the land. Let's go and do it. We know we can do it with God because God is on our side. What a beautiful example. And that is exactly what it's all about. Fear should not grip the Christian's life. Fear is not what this is about. We're not. We shouldn't have the spirit of fear. God doesn't want us to have the spirit of fear. He wants us to have the spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind. That's a triple threat right there. When you have the spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind, there ain't no room for fear. Hallelujah. There's no room for fear when you have those three. And that's exactly what it's all about. Isaiah, in the guise of God, from the voice of God, he wrote in his book what God said to him. In Isaiah 41 and verse 10, he said, fear thou not for I am with thee. Be not dismayed for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee. Yea, I will help thee. Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Why should we fear when God is near? Hallelujah. We shouldn't fear because God is on our side. God is right there with us. If God be for us, who can be against us? And that's the whole truth. And so this is something I had to learn this week. I had to learn this week, you know what? I'm going to go and I'm going to do the impossible. I'm going to step out of my comfort zone and I'm going to go with God. And when I go with God, God goes with me. Hallelujah. Sometimes we've got to step out of our comfort zone, the place where we feel the most comfortable, to see the miraculous occur in our lives. So this is Pastor Jay just encouraging you this week. Jump out of your comfort zone. Get a little bit out of that comfort zone and begin to do something for God. Do something that's a little fearful But do it in faith And God will bring a miracle into your life That I can promise you For God has not given us the spirit of fear But of power and of love and of a sound mind It's all about fear this week Let fear control us This is Pastor Jason LeBaron reminding you that we love you, but most importantly of all, remember God loves you. And until next time when we're back with you again, Pastor Jay, saying goodbye, God bless. We'll see you next time. Bye everybody. I know one who really cares. So one day at a time, no matter what's from my way. I'm not giving up for it, no matter what I'll say. With the Lord at my side, I'm never alone. I'm destined to win. So step by step, I'll take it one day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time. you
