I don't know if I can do this, but I'm going to give it a try. I'm going to try it. Little David stood on the battlefield Israel's army was sure that he would be killed Little David said, you come with a spear and a sword But I come in the name of the Lord And I can do all things Through Christ who strengthens me When my hand's in his I know I've got victory In a slingshot David, book of stone Swung it over his head and then it was thrown Hit his Goliath right between the eyes It was then that he realized That I can do all things Through Christ who strengthens me When my hands ain't in his, I know I've got the victory. When I going through the valley and it been a while since I had a victory I just put my faith in you because I know you will see me through And I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When my hand's in His, I know I've got the victory I can do all things to try to strengthen me When my hand's in His, I know I've got the victory Oh, am I handed in? I know I've got victory Join us again next week for another podcast. And have a blessed, blessed day. Phew. What are you doing? It's amazing what D.Va finds in the trash, huh? Pastor Jay, that's sad, blaming it on a sweet little D.Va. I'm sorry, I'm having junk food withdrawal Yeah, willpower, you know You know what the Bible says, God shall supply all your needs Come on, Pastor Jay You know what, God doesn't want us to be unhealthy The Bible says in Romans chapter 12 and verse 2, it says, And be not conformed to this world. Do not be squeezed into the mold of this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove that which is good and acceptable and the perfect will of God. God wants his people to be healthy people. That's why God said, you know, take care of your body. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. That's why God said, don't put anything in the temple that's going to defile it. Why? Because God wants us to be healthy people. He knows that we can't do the work of the Lord. We can't be about God's business if we're sick. So that's why He wants us to take care of ourselves. It's tough And I know what everybody's thinking They're saying you know what So you're saying Pastor Jay I can no longer have my fatty foods I can't have my sweets I can't enjoy all my stuff I'm not saying you can never have those things But in moderation Anything is good But it's in moderation We cannot just live On junk food It's just not good for us Junk food's not good for us It doesn't hurt to have a little junk food here and there. But don't live on junk food. Junk food's not good for you. You ever wonder why it's called junk food? Because it's not good for you. You know, that's just the truth. It's about willpower. And I understand people that are listening in are saying, you know what, I just can't do it. I can't get rid of junk food out of my life. I can't do it. I can't exercise. I can't do it. I just don't have the willpower. Well, let me share with you what Paul said to the church of Philippi in Philippians 4 and verse 13. He said, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Note that. I want you to understand those words. I can do all things through Christ. Through Christ Not in my own strength Not in my strength Not in my ability But I can do all things through Christ Which strengthens me And that's the whole point. You know it reminds me of a little boy. Named David. David was so enamored by the Israeli army. He looked up to these great men. He said wow these are the best of the best. These are the strongest of the strong. They're the bravest of the brave. And his dad told him, he said, I want you to take some lunch to your brothers who are soldiers on the field. I want you to go and they're fighting the Philistines. I want you to go out there and I want you to bring them a little lunch. So David was excited. He was a shepherd, so he was excited. I'm going to get to go to the battlefield. So he got out to the battlefield and he got there and he saw these brave men that he looked up to all cowering behind trees. and behind bushes, cowering. And he said, guys, what are you doing? Why are you cowering? You're supposed to be the brave, the strong, the mighty. And they said, look out there. And he looked out onto the battlefield. And he looked out there and he saw a humongous giant. And David said, but that's only one man. You men are the best of the best and you're hiding because of one man? Why are you hiding because of one man? I could go out there and defeat that one man. Was David being smart? Was he being foolish? No. David was saying, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. That's what he was saying. If God goes with me, who can be against me? and so David said let me go out there and fight that Goliath, that giant well Saul the great warrior, the great king he said you know what, I can't let you go out there unarmed here put on my armor and Saul was head and shoulders above everybody and he put his armor upon David and it weighed David down to the ground and David threw it off, he said I can't go with this so David said all I need is one thing I need one thing for myself, and that's this slingshot. Because the other thing I got, which is God, is enough for me. So David went to the battlefield, and before he got there, he picked up five stones, walked onto the battlefield. Why did he need five stones? Because there was rumors going around that Goliath had four brothers. Four brothers. What was David wanting to do? He was wanting to be prepared, just in case. and always be prepared. But David walked out onto that battlefield and Goliath saw David and he said, am I a dog that you send a boy to do a man's job? You know, and David said to him, he said, you come with a sword and a spear and a shield, but I come in the name of the Lord. And David put a little stone in that sling. He swung it about his head. He let loose of it and it hit Goliath right between the eyes and Goliath fell dead. and David was victorious. It all comes down to willpower. We can do all things through Christ who gives us the strength. So don't say you can't do it. With God, you can do anything. Alright? Until next time, this is Pastor Jay reminding you that we love you, but most importantly of all, remember God loves you. And we will see you next week right here on our video blog. Have a blessed, blessed week. Bye and God bless. Sometimes life's a little heavy. Sometimes life's a little hard to bear. I feel like I'm all alone. I'm the one who really cares So one day at a time No matter what's from my way I'm not giving up for it No matter what others say With the Lord at my side I'm never alone I'm destined to win So step by step, I'll take it one day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time. Amen.
