Transcript: Christian Movie Reviews: Blu-ray Faith-Based First Looks

Hey, welcome everyone. This is Pastor Jay here on Classic Cinema Rewind. And today, we're going to give you a first look before it's ever in stores. Welcome, everyone. We appreciate you watching this video. One cool thing about being a movie reviewer and a DVD reviewer, a Blu-ray reviewer on ClassicCinemaMagazine.blogspot.com is the fact that we get product before it ever hits the stores. Really cool. So we just got some product from MVD and we're going to share it with you coming out September 11th, 2018, just next week. But we got ours yesterday, so we've taken a look at it and we'll have our full reviews available next week on ClassicCinemaMagazine.blogspot.com. But first, we want to show you what the packaging is and what it looks like. So this is the first look at a three-movie set, if you will, collection from MVD coming out next Tuesday, September the 11th. First off, Barbershop. This film actually stars Ice Cube, rapper Ice Cube. It has Anthony Anderson in it. Anthony Anderson, many people know him from Black-ish. He was a great actor, long, and did a lot of movies and stuff before that. But I know him more because I've been watching the now rebooted, remade TV game show. To tell the truth, he is the host of that. But anyway this is the Blu release of Barbershop Now with the Blu release you getting the first off you get your slip cover okay And your slip cover looks like this. Blu-ray looks like that. There's no difference. It's the same exact artwork. That's a little bit of a downer, but anyway, is what it is. As you look inside, it's kind of washed out there a little bit, but that's kind of what it looks like. It's a very bare bones looking thing, but it's okay. But that's the special edition, and there is a lot of really cool bonus features on this. On this collection, you get audio commentaries, you get four behind the scenes featurettes, which will, when you watch them together, comes out to 40 minutes of bonus features, of featurettes, of making of the movies, of this movie. Seven deleted scenes, bloopers and outtakes. You've got music videos. You've got behind-the-scenes photo galleries. You've got trailers. It is really jam-packed with all kinds of good stuff. We'll have the full review of Barbershop at ClassicCinemaMagazine.blogspot.com coming up next week. when this is released so there's the first look at Barbershop also released from MVD video is the from the marquee collection Barbershop to there you go Barbershop to same kinda thing here there's the the look of the the artwork the slipcover and when you do it. It's the same exact artwork, as you can say. Like I said, that's a little bit of a downer, but it is what it is. This, of course, continues with Ice Cube and with Cedric the Entertainer. And I love Cedric the Entertainer. He is hilarious in this series. Love it, love it, love it, these two films. I love Cedric the Entertainer. Cedric the Entertainer I remember from his time on the Steve Harvey show. it was up doll you know but he was hilarious and he real funny in this too good movie really really funny little movie series And in this collection here of Barbershop 2 you get of course audio commentaries You get cast commentary, which is kind of cool. Two kinds. You get six deleted scenes, outtakes, music videos, behind the scenes photo gallery, and your trailers all on this. So there is a first look, and we'll just do this as well. So there you go. If you can see it, there's what it looks like, the Blu-ray. So anyway, so that's your first look at Barbershop 2. All right, now the third one that has been released from MVD Marquee Collection is the third film. This is Beauty Shop, starring Queen Latifah. So now, again, with these Blu-rays, there's the outside cover. There's the Blu-ray inside cover or inside insert. And it's the same exact thing. So it is what it is. This film is the third in the series. This does not have Cedric the Entertainer in it. This does not have Ice Cube in it. This does not have your cast of characters. Queen Latifah came in for the second film, And then they decided to spin it off for her in the third film. So this is completely Queen Latifah's movie here. Inside is the same exact kind of thing. It's just a straight white DVD with the black lettering, or Blu-ray, I should say. And one thing I do want to say that I kind of like about these Blu-rays from MVD is I like that they don't do the typical Blu-ray casing. If you look at the Blu-ray case, it's white, but the Blu-ray logo is blue. I like that. I like that. It kind of has a different feel, so I actually like that a lot. In this, you get a future rep. You get a gag reel. You get sneak peek, beauty shop sneak peek. You get trailers from all three films. and something that really weird you get select scene audio commentary You don get a full audio commentary but it is what it is Not a big deal But anyway that a first look at the things from MVD this trilogy I guess you could say from MVD These will be released on September the 11th, 2018. and this is your first look at the packaging from the Barbershop Collection, as you can see.
