Transcript: Christian Halloween Movie Alternatives for Family-Friendly Fun

Music Hey everybody, welcome to Classic Cinema Rewind Quick Cuts. It's just a quick little video to give you a suggestion for Halloween time. Love Halloween. Love the good classic Halloween movies. To me, the classics are the best. Not filled with a lot of profanity, not filled with a lot of gore. It doesn't do anything for me. I like a good story. And so on this little series here, I'm going to share with you a quick little suggestion, if you will, for a classic scary film for this Halloween season. And we're going to start off with one of my favorite horror actors of all time, Vincent Price. Love Vincent Price. Vincent Price is probably one of my favorites if not my favorite horror film actor of all time And I love this film He not really the star but he still amazing And the film I'm talking about today is The Fly. Oh, I love this film. Now, like I said, this is not exactly Vincent Price's film. Vincent Price is not the lead actor per se, if you will. Vincent Price is not turning into The Fly but without Vincent Price you wouldn't have had a movie because his role is pivotal in the whole story now many people know the Jeff Goldblum version of The Fly and while that's okay it's kind of got a lot of stuff in it but profanity, some nudity, some different things and sexual content and all that. And a lot of gore a lot of nasty gore And a lot of people like that I mean to each his own You like it have at it that great Me personally I like the story better And to me the story is much better in this. There's a lot of heart and there's a lot of emotion in this film along with the scares. It's really cool. I had this on VHS tape many, many years ago and transferred that from the VHS to the DVD because I wanted to have it on DVD. And then it came across this about, I think it was last Halloween, actually, on Blu-ray. And I said, you know what, I can't pass it up. It was like $3, so I was like, yeah, I'm going to get that. So actually, this is a really great version of this film. It's beautiful. It really does look gorgeous. The colors pop off the screen. It amazing Great great film Just about a if you know the story of Cronenberg The Fly you know the story of this A guy wanting to transport things and he decides to jump in the transporter to do it himself to see if he can do it And a fly gets caught in there and it melds together and changes him into this fly creature. And it's a really good film. So anyway, if you have never seen Vincent Price in The Fly, I highly, highly suggest it.
