Hey everyone, welcome once again to Classic Cinema Rewind Quick Cuts this Halloween season. We're giving you just quick videos of suggestions of great films that you can watch this time of the year that are clean and really good films for Halloween viewing. We're not going with the profanity laden with the sexual contents and all the gory stuff. We're leaving that for somebody else. We're giving you just the classic stuff. So this is going to be a lot of fun. And today we're going back to another film collection from one of my favorites, Vincent Price. I love this. This is actually a double disc set. And so we're giving you two for one today, so it's going to be interesting, but that's okay. It is a two-disc double feature set from Legend Films. It is the Vincent Price double feature today, and here it is. This is really cool. These are two public domain films, and I love these films. This is really good. This is House on Haunted Hill and The Last Man on Earth Now the interesting thing about these films is that these are public domain okay You can see the discs there We like to do that I don do that all the time so I gotta start doing that But anyway, with these films, you're getting the public domain classic black and white, but beyond that, you're getting the colorized versions on these as well. Now, a lot of people get really wigged out. They say, oh, well, if it's black and white, it should stay black and white. And look, I don't have a problem with that in the world. And especially I didn't have a problem with that back in the day. Because when they first started trying to colorize films, it was terrible. They looked horrible. There was something with the teeth, man. The teeth had like a greenish tinge to them. I don't know. It was bad. So I didn't really like colorization. Legend Films stepped up and started making these, and they really have done a tremendous job. The colorization in these are very good, actually, for colorization. And I do. I enjoy them colorized. They actually don't look that bad. And I feel this way. A lot of people say, oh, you shouldn't colorize a film. That's not the way the director envisioned it. And I understand that. But the point is there are some people in this generation that will not watch a black and white film no matter what you do No matter how hard you try they will not watch it so if it takes colorizing a classic film to get somebody to watch some of these classic films I think go for it do it get somebody to discover some classic films they're great basically just do quick quick give you an idea House on Haunted Hill is about a man who invites a bunch of people to a house for this night of terror. And I'm not going to go into great detail because I'll give it all away, but he gives them all a gun to protect themselves and all the terror that begins to come upon them. It is just amazing. It's kind of a really cool film. And to find out who was behind the whole thing and all and what it was about, awesome stuff. Then the other feature on here is Last Man on Earth. It is probably one of my favorite horror films from Vincent Price. And that's probably up for debate because I do love a lot of Vincent Price films. But I do think probably Last Man on Earth is one of my favorites. It's basically the film that you've probably seen with Will Smith, I Am Legend, and Charlton Heston, which was Omega Man. It kind of falls in the same vein as those. It all about the kind of taken from the story of Robert Matheson which was I Am Legend But they kind of switch it up a little bit But it is a really good film It's really awesome. Now, the thing about this, if you have not seen these, these are public domain. You can find these on YouTube. You can find these on archive.org. You can find these all over the Internet, and they're completely, legitimately free because they're public domain. So if you've never seen these films, I definitely, definitely suggest go check these out for Halloween. These are really good films, okay?
