Transcript: Christian Christmas Movies for a Faith-Filled Holiday Season

Music Hey everybody, welcome to this edition of Classic Cinema Rewind Quick Cuts and this is not the Halloween edition, oh absolutely not, we're in full on holiday mode now We're in the holiday season, the Christmas season. It's a great time of the year for people to get together and just enjoy one another and to enjoy some great holiday films. Whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanzaa or whatever the case may be, that's not up to me. That's your business and that's great and whatever. So whatever you celebrate, that's fine. But I want to give you some tips and some suggestions for your holiday viewing. So the first one that we're going to do this time around, we're going to give you this film. I love this film, Christmas with the Cranks. This is really an interesting little film starring Tim Allen Now a lot of people give this film a lot of grief They sit there and say oh this is a terrible film and this is no good and I watched it you know the different reviews and when it come across the television it have like the stars and this gets like one star. Don't buy into that, people. This is actually a very sweet, cute, kind of fun-loving little film. It is not as bad as people make it out to be. I really enjoy this film a lot. This is a part of my holiday viewing every single year. I have to watch this every single year. We actually, at our house, we bought this a few years ago right at Christmastime. We were in Louisville, Kentucky at the time. And we were, it was Thanksgiving, I believe it was. It was either Thanksgiving Day or the day after Thanksgiving. We just happened to go out and we were looking at the different stores. We came across this film, Christmas with the Cranks. It was so cool. I think at the time when we bought it, we got this for $3, I think, $2 or $3. I was like, $2 or $3, we'll take a chance with it. We have never seen it before, so we thought we'll try. Give it a chance. Give it a check out. See what it is. and we took it home we watched it for Christmas season all of us fell in love with it It is just a sweet film It about a man and his wife who their daughter is going off to the Peace Corps to do her part which is really cool, and they decide that, well, since our daughter Blair's not going to be home, well, we're going to skip Christmas. Well, as can be figured out pretty simply, the whole town is all a Christmas town. They love Christmas. They all exchange gifts. They all do that. They all love to, and they all, the Cranks always have a big Christmas party. And it's so cool. And they just say, we're not celebrating Christmas. We're skipping Christmas. We're going to go on a cruise. And so this kind of sends a lot of waves throughout the community that, hey, they're going to skip Christmas? What? The whole community is in an uproar about it. And the hilarity ensues about how they want them to free Frosty, the Frosty the Snowman that everybody puts up at Christmas season. And Tim Allen here, Mr. Crank, he sits there and he says, we're not freeing Frosty no matter what. And the whole town, it's just, it's hilarious. It is really funny. Well, long story short, Blair decides to come home for Christmas, and they have to try to make a last effort to try to figure out how they can save Christmas now that they tried to skip Christmas It is really a cute little film I'm telling you, it is not one of the greatest Christmas films that you will ever find. Of course not. That's not what it's supposed to be. It's just supposed to be a fun film. And believe me, it is a funny film, really a good film, and enjoy Christmas with the Cranks. I guarantee it. you'll find yourself laughing a little bit through some of the antics that's going on. It is really a good film. So this Christmas season, check out Christmas with the Cranks.
