This prophetic word, called adulterous wife who cannot see nor discern, was given to Patricia Evans. It is a last day warning, a time to check your heart. This prophetic word was given after a series of ministry to the body of Christ, which took place in many different denominations, non-denominations, Christian business meetings, cell groups, and so forth, in the United States and in Puerto Rico. The word of the Lord came as I was sitting before him one morning in my time of devotions and was praying for the church at large. I had been troubled by seeing the lack of commitment, complacency, and spiritual ignorance, and the condition many believers have and yet ignorantly call themselves Christian. They sit in the pews of the church each week, week after week, year after year, doing what they consider their weekly duty, and yet the depth of their spiritual growth and maturity is nominal, to say the least. The prophetic word of the Lord was not long. It was simple and to the point, but mostly it broke my heart, because it expresses the very heart of my Heavenly Father and His disappointment in those leading and feeding His precious flock, who have been given the responsibility to educate, to equip, to exhort and establish the body of Christ until the unity of faith and the knowledge of God's precious Son, Jesus Christ, has matured in the hearts of the true, real, and sincere believers. Ephesians 4, verse 11 declares, And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of fullness of Christ, that we should no longer be children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. verse 15 but speaking the truth in love may grow up in all things into him who is the head Christ from whom the whole body joined and knit together by every joint supplies according to the effective workings by which every part does its share causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. The prophetic word of the Lord given was, My people cannot see nor can they discern the truth, because their eyes are fixed upon the things of the world. They do not love me. They cannot see that they are blind, because they are deceived. As long as times are good, my people forget me, but when trouble comes, they run to me. I do not want a double-minded wife, but only one who is totally faithful and true to me, to my commands and to my ways consistently, says the Lord God Almighty. James 4, verse 4, declares, you are like unfaithful wives, having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God, do you not know that being the world's friend is being God's enemies? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes a stand as an enemy of God. Or do you suppose that the scripture is speaking to no purpose that says, the spirit whom he has caused to dwell in us yearns over us, and he yearns for the spirit to be welcome with a jealous love In this fitting scripture Apostle James is using the words frequently used by the Old Testament prophets to imply those who are faithless towards God because they have forsaken God by fixing their eyes upon worldly things and all the stuff that it has to offer. God calls these things, these people and places and things, idols. This gross idolatry is saying that these people were literally guilty of the sinful unfaithfulness to their covenant with God by neglecting their duty to him and by yielding themselves to the gratification of their own lusts and passions in regards to people, places, or things, and also to their carnal passions and lusts. The scripture in James says that this is likened to an unfaithful wife breaking her marriage vows and having illicit love affairs with the world by satisfying her carnal desires. They had violated the obligation to kill the carnal passions and lustful desires of the flesh. That's self-denial to which they were bound and obligated to do once they had committed their lives to Jesus Christ. But we are told in the word to put on Christ or to put on the new clothing. James is endeavoring to convince us of the evil of this horrible offense against God by saying to be a friend of the world is to be an enemy of God. To be a friend of the world means that we belong to another. Satan is the god of this world and to be a friend of this world means that we belong to Satan the devil and all of his distractions, his amusements and gratifications which are diametrically opposite of the activity, the behavior, and all that is distinguished from the church of God. When the world comes into the church, the church then becomes defiled, and her spiritual vitality stands on the edge or the verge of distinction. There are so many sitting in the pews of the church today who are lovers of this world and are satisfied with what it has to offer, rather than are lovers of God and conform to His standards and pattern of holiness and righteousness. Lovers of this world show in their conformity to it by seeking their friendship from the world, worldly-minded people with the same likes and tastes that they have. They prefer the amusements of the world and its ways compared to where the spiritually-minded Christians find their chief joy and happiness in sharing and fellowshipping about the things of God and His ways. Carnally minded or worldly Christians make their worldly interests the biggest and the greatest object and focus, their way of living and everything else is insignificant to these other preferences, that is, movies with violence, murder and sex, profanity, sexual innuendos, the occult, and so forth. Money, exaggerated standard of living, fashion, size of houses, cars, adultery, fornication, dabbling in the occult, and magic. None of these tastes can satisfy at any given level as the cravings for these and other things are insatiable. This is why Apostle James says there are many professing Christians who are God's enemies rather than his friends. They have never known what true friendship for him is, and by their lives and their ways they show that they are ranked only among his foes. It becomes the responsibility of every Christian, therefore, to examine himself or herself with the deepest introspection to determine whether or not they are characteristically a friend of the world or a friend of God, and whether or not they are living this life driven by the high and precious principles and standards of God righteousness and those associations are with those who are true friends of God The great searcher of our hearts cannot and will not be deceived or mocked dear church Our appropriate place will soon be assigned to us and our final judge will determine to which category of the human family we each belong. We belong to either those who are friends of the world or to those who are true friends of God. This is our choice. To be a friend of the world marks us as distinct enemies of God, and this is saying that we do not love Him. It is these whom James calls adulterers and adulteresses. Breaking covenant with God is breaking fellowship with Him, and that means that He does not hear, He does not listen, protect, or give notice to your cries and pleas in time of trouble. To be far away from God in the time of trouble is like being out on a limb with a saw in your hand, sawing the very branch out from underneath yourself. In James 4.9, he declares, Grieve, mourn, and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. This scripture from James 4.9 is parallel with Psalms 73.27, which declares, For lo, they that are far from you shall perish. You have destroyed all them that go a-whoring after you. This is what true friendship with the world will do. All who forsake God for worldly preferences are said to have gone a whoring away from God, and this is indeed called spiritual adultery. The friendship of the world is these hypocrites' God. They committed spiritual adultery with the world and cultivated this friendship in order that they might gain the horrible and final lot for themselves called eternal death, thus perishing in the lake of fire for all of eternity. In this prophetic word, the Lord God Almighty said that he did not want a wife who was double-minded, but rather one who was totally faithful to himself. The only hope for a backslidden individual these days is a true, sincere, and deep repentance in coming back to his or her Maker. Luke 15, verse 17 declares, And when he came to his senses, he said, How many of my father's hired men have food to spare? And here I am starving to death. I will set out and go back to my father and say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired men. So he got up and he went to his father. But meanwhile, while he was still a long ways off, His father saw him and was filled with compassion for him and ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. The son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Verse 22. But the father said to his servants, Quick, bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fatted calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found. So they began to celebrate. The eyes of the Lord are going to and fro over the whole earth these days, searching for those whose hearts are totally devoted to him. He does not want a double-minded bride or wife. We are living in the last days, and the horrible things that are going on in the world today are incensing the ire or anger of God. When the fullness of this wretchedness reaches the nostrils of God the Father He will arise He will stand up And for us in these last days time it is prophesied to be a very terrible time greater in troubles than the world has ever seen This wretchedness has permeated the church in every sort of aspect. The false prophets and apostles have taken root, and God again is very angry about this abomination. Jeremiah 5.31 declares, the prophets prophesy falsely. Priests exercise rule at their own hands and by means of the prophets, and my people love to have it so. But what will you do when the end comes? You see, the oceans obey God, but his people do not. The oceans remained at their ordained place, obeying their creator, but God's people had chosen otherwise. Does not God have the right to punish such rebellion? Oh yes, and oh yes, he indeed does have the right, and we can be guaranteed that he definitely will punish it. But look at the hope for those who do obey and are faithful to God and His commandments. Psalm 68 verse 1 declares, God is already beginning to arise and His enemies to scatter. Let them also who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away. As wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish before the presence of God. But let the uncompromisingly righteous be glad. Let them be in high spirits and glory before God. Yes, let them be jubilantly rejoice. Yes, let them rejoice. Sing to God. Sing praises to His name. Cast up a highway for Him who rides through the desert. His name is the Lord. Be in high spirits and glory before him. Verse 5. A father of the fatherless and a judge and protector of the widows is God, is his holy habitation. Verse 6. God places the solitary in families and gives the desolate a home in which to dwell. He leads the prisoners out to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. O God, when you went before your people, you marched through the wilderness. The earth trembled. The heavens also poured down rain at the presence of God. Yonder Sinai quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel. You, O God, did send a plentiful rain. You did restore and confirm your heritage when it languished and was weary. Your flock found a dwelling place in it. You, O God, in your righteousness, your goodness did provide for the poor and the needy. And Psalms 12 verse 5 declares, Now I will arise, says the Lord God, because the poor are oppressed, because of the groans of the needy. I will set him in safety and the salvation for which he pans. The words and promises of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times over. You will keep them and preserve them, O Lord, you will guard and keep us from this evil generation forever. Well, let us heed the word of the Lord and let us check our own hearts and examine our lives as to where the attachment of our hearts really lie. That attachment will either be in the Lord Jesus Christ as the lover of our souls or it will be in the world which belongs to Satan and his interest. Again, this is your choice. We pray that you will choose eternal life and live your life now as one of Christ's faithful ones. You may contact Patricia Evans at info at ShiningLight7Ministries.com. .
