Hey guys, welcome once again to Treasure Hunters Report here on the Classic Cinema Magazine. We got a humongous amount of stuff here at our local Goodwill over the last several weeks. We've been doing a lot of hunting and scoring a lot of really good stuff. They had their, as well as just going weekly and picking up some stuff, they had their 50% off sale. So a lot of these, some of these are only a dollar, so that was really kind of cool. But we're going to jump right into it, see what we have. Starting off with the first one, I like Eddie Murphy. Eddie Murphy is not my favorite, but I like him. and I like to get some, some things of Eddie Murphy's, and so, um, I've never seen this one, so I was like, well, let's try it, uh, this is Norbit, um, I've actually watched this, this is not Eddie Murphy's best, it really is not, um, so, yeah, but, you know, it was, um, it was a dollar, so, you know, not bad for only a dollar, it says, hysterically funny, and, um, personally, it was okay, but it was not spectacular at all. Alright, this is controversial, but we're not talking about the man, we're only talking about Kenan Thompson. This is Fat Albert. We're not going into the other man, we're not even going to mention his name, that's just not what we're going to do on this channel here, but we want to talk about Fat Albert. Fat Albert is a really cool little cartoon show from back in the day, and I love Kenan Thompson. I loved him in Kenan and Kel, all that, and he's now a cast member, been a cast member for quite a while of SNL, but this is one of his first real, what you call, starring roles, and this was an iconic role of Fat Albert. I love this show, this movie. This, uh, it's really cool. It's really nostalgic, and I love it a lot. And so, yeah, this, for only $2, I was not complaining. Uh, I had it on, uh, VHS tape deck back in the day and transferred it to a DVD, but this is the actual DVD, so yeah, so there we go. Fat Albert, like that. I love good stand-up comedy sometimes, and, uh, so this, this was only a dollar. Um, very, very cool. Gallagher Volume 1 on this is two specials and yeah so Gallagher Volume 1 who doesn't love to see Gallagher smash stuff with the big Sledge-o-matic pretty cool alright this one also a dollar at the Goodwill brand new sealed in the package too and never seen it But I was like, eh, give it a shot. Love Tom Hanks. Sleepless in Seattle. Still have yet to see this, but yeah, I've heard a lot about it and whatever. So we'll check it out in a little bit and see what it's like. But Sleepless in Seattle, a dollar. Yeah, not bad. All right. This is really good. Disney. Who doesn't love a good Disney type film? this is Chris Pine Eric Bana Ben Foster and Casey Affleck in The Finest Hours very very cool film at least looks like a very cool film I've seen the trailer and I've read about it a little bit it looks pretty cool based on a real true story so we'll see how good it is but I haven't seen it yet so gotta do that But yeah that was only Not bad Love some great sports films if you will And this is a Dove sports film So, yeah, I like this. This is football. This is Facing the Giants. This was only $2 at Goodwill. So, yeah, I was very pleased with getting that. Yeah, Facing the Giants. Haven't seen it yet, but going to check that out very soon as well. All right. I'm going to try to see what we have here. We've got a bunch of animated, so we want to keep the animated for last. Okay. Next one, $2. The Amazing Panda Adventure. Love this. And it's got one of those type of cases. Snapper case, you know. Love those. I don't know. There's something nostalgic about them for me, the snapper cases. I actually haven't seen The Amazing Panda Adventure, but it looks pretty cool. actually, and I love films that deal with animals and stuff like that. So, yeah, I'm going to check out The Amazing Panda Adventure very, very soon. Check that out. That is good stuff. All right, someone in our church told me, they said, have you ever seen any of the Narnia films? And I said, no, I haven't seen any of them. And they said, oh, they're so good, you need to check them out. I know, I haven't seen any of them, but, you know, that's just something I haven't done. I got so much that I have to watch that I don't have time to watch stuff a lot of times for pleasure. But anyway, so this came up at Goodwill for only $2, and I was like, yeah, okay, well, it's a good way to start it off. And that's at the beginning. This is Narnia, the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. This is the first film of the Narnia series. So, yeah, you've got to start at the beginning. So, yeah, we got this for only $2. And it's pretty cool because it's got that kind of, you know, gold foil. You can't see it too much there, but it's got a gold foil around the Narnia logo. So that's pretty cool. I like that. But anyway, yeah, $2 for Narnia, the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. All right, now, so what we've been doing is we got away from animation for quite a long time, and now we're starting to get back into it and stuff. So here we are again. We're buying a lot of animation. This one I have yet to see. I had it on a, I think I had it on VHS tape or I taped it off of TV, I'm not sure which. But anyway, I had it on DVD and I've just never watched it after all these years. And it came to Goodwill for $2 and I thought, well, we'll do it this way. Barnyard, the original Party Animals. This is a Nickelodeon original film. And, yeah, so I haven't seen it, but I've got to check it out. I've got to check it out. Now it's on the actual DVD. I'll have to do that. So, yeah, not a bad buy. All right. When you link up all your accounts, If you've got Voodoo and you've got Flickster and you've got all these different streaming services, when you link all of them up, a lot of times you get free movies. Well, one of the free movies was this one here. So I have it on a digital, but I didn't have it on a DVD. And with digital, you never know. Some day, digital may go away. We just never know. And if digital does go away, then there goes your movies. So that's why it's good to have backups, actual physical copies. So this is why I was like, I'll get it and put it on the shelf. This is Happy Feet. Yeah, pretty cute little film. So yeah, I did have it on digital, but like I said, to get it on a physical copy as well is a very good thing So yeah wanted to do that All right we running down on the end here Let do this one first Okay This one was at Goodwill for quite a while and I was going to pick it up, but then I thought, I don't know. I don't know. And so I just left it there. And then I saw it at Walmart for like $3.74 in that $3 type bin, and I was going to pick it up there, and I thought, well, no, it's at Goodwill for two, and then it was that next week they had their 50% off sale, so this was only a dollar, so yeah, I did good. This is a Tim Burton animated classic. This is The Corpse Bride. I have not seen this, so yeah, I'm going to check it out when it comes to Halloween time, because, yeah, I don't know much about it. I haven't seen it at all. But, yeah, it's just that type of disc. Not very spectacular. But a lot of special bonus features and everything. But, yeah, Corpse Bride for $2. I guess that's not a bad deal. All right, winding down to the final three. All right, this one is an animated classic. based on a children's book and not a bad deal at all. This one was only $2. This is the original Charlotte's Web. I can't believe I didn't have this. There's a lot of stuff. We're going to talk about that in a second. A lot of things I don't have and I'm shocked about this. Anyway, this was only $2, and, you know, a very cute animated film. I remember watching when I was a small child, and I haven't seen it since. So, yeah, we're going to revisit Charlotte's Web sometime down the line. So, yeah, so Charlotte's Web added to the Classic Cinema Archive. All right, now our final two are very special. So I've been doing some archiving for my purposes of knowing what I have and what I don't have. I had a huge VHS library, a humongous VHS library that I've put on DVDs, saved them, archived them on DVDs. and so I was going through all my stuff checking through, seeing what all I have cataloging it, putting it on the thing so that I know what I have, what I need, what I don't need and as I went through it I was shocked to find out that I have no Disney films the only Disney films that I have is like Incredibles 1 and 2 and I have Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University. Those are the only Disney films that I have. I do have, from a VHS tape, I think it was, I have Cinderella and Lady and the Tramp. But other than that, I have basically no Disney films whatsoever. And as I looked at that, I was like, I can't believe this. So I have to watch now for Disney films. Because, I mean, you know, when you've got like thousands of DVDs and we've got like probably, I haven't counted them yet. So someday I'll have to count them. But I bet you I probably have probably 6,000, 7,000 DVDs and Blu-rays. uh yeah so it gets a little lost and you get lost and so I was looking through there I don't have anything I don have nothing Disney related I I shocked at this so anyway that a long story to get around to this Okay first off for we found this This is really spectacular for Can you believe this? The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. I love The Adventures of Ichabod, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I love that one. I've never seen Mr. Toad, The Adventures of Mr. Toad. I've never seen that. And so I was like, okay. It's like the wind in the willows type thing. So I had to watch that one, but I love the adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. So yeah, this was only $2. It's a Blu-ray and DVD both combo pack type thing, which is very, very cool. It comes with the slip cover. Very cool. Yeah, but I was shocked I didn't have this. So, wow. It's, yeah, I've got to do some major picking now because I'm shocked about that. As I said, don't have anything. Don't have any of these. So, this final one was at the dollar off sale or the dollar sale, the 50% off sale. So, this was only a dollar. This was shocking to me. I was absolutely blown away when I saw this. This is only a buck. It only has the Blu-ray in it now. It doesn't have the Blu-ray DVD. That's a little bit of a downer, but eh, it's okay. It's still the movie. 101 Dalmatians for a dollar on Blu-ray. Yeah, like I said, it doesn't have the DVD, but that's okay. At least you get the movie. Very, very cool release. So, yeah. This is the problem with being an extreme collector. You don't know what you have. So, sometimes you have to catalog everything. So, yeah. So, we've had a pretty... We've got to do some major picking for some Disney stuff now. So, yeah. To think that I've only got like... I mean, with this now, I've got one, two, three, four, five, six... I've got six Disney films. unbelievable so yeah i gotta i gotta do some major picking we're we're uh we're we're uh finding some good stuff though so um get out to your pawn shops to your goodwills to uh those different places you never know what you're gonna find i mean who would have ever thought i would have found these these two right here cost three dollars total and you can't get any better than that you can't get a better deal than that so So get out to your pawn shops, get out to your Goodwills, to your discount stores, and see what you can find. You never know. You're going to find some good stuff. It's been a little bit longer video than I expected, but that's okay. We had a lot to get to.
