Hey everybody, welcome to this Treasure Hunters Report here on the Classic Cinema Magazine. And we've had kind of a little bit of a dry spell for quite a while here, so it's been a little bit quiet for a little bit but today was a very interesting day. Today was 50% off sale at Goodwill so we went and checked out some of the stuff and we got some pretty cool stuff and we also did a Dollar Tree little hunt and we found some cool stuff at Dollar Tree as well. So we're going to jump into the Dollar Tree stuff then we'll jump into the Goodwill stuff, but today as we're recording this is a very interesting day because today is actually Comic Book Day, not the Comic Book Day that we know of, but it was trending on Twitter today, National Comic Book Day, it's not the free Comic Book Day, but it's National Comic Book Day, so very interesting. And we went to Dollar Tree and found some comic books. Wow. Nothing major, nothing really over-the-top great, but, you know, some cool stuff. So, found three, so we're going to check them out real quick. First, we found something interesting. WWE Slam City, the comic book. this is number one finished and kind of cool has some really good artwork as you can see there looks pretty good as you can see not too bad not too bad so for a dollar I thought eh, Slam City give it a shot what's the big deal I haven't checked it out I haven't looked at it too much, but it does have, from looking through this, it has Rey Mysterio in it. Very cool. Looks, if I am not mistaken, I thought I saw Kane. Yeah, Kane. Right in this panel here, right there. So, kind of cool. So, yeah. So, Slam City comic book. Very cool. Alright, also at the Dollar Tree was two Smurf comic books. I was like, okay, that's pretty cool. So, number two, this is Astro Smurf. And, kind of cool. I'm a fan of the Smurfs, you know, so not too bad. Pretty cool. Pretty cool stuff, so yeah. See? Yeah. I like the animation, or the artwork. I think it's pretty cool. So, yeah. See that? Very cool. So, anyway, this one is Astro Smurf. Very cool. And then the other one is Smurf Soup. And, again, pretty cool animation, or, you know, artwork there. I love it. I keep saying animation, but anyway. Pretty cool artwork there. So yeah, I'm looking forward to checking those out. That's something different. Very very interesting because our Dollar Trees hardly ever get any comic books Ever I mean it like I think the last time I seen a comic book at one of our Dollar Trees was three years ago four years ago I mean, it's been forever. So actually seeing these was pretty cool. So that's why I picked them up. So yeah, that's pretty cool. Anyway, so some comic books. Hey, you know, for a buck, hey, why not? Alright, now a lot of people have been posting a lot of cool stuff at their Dollar Trees that they got on DVD. Well, we're living in a small little community, so we don't get like a lot of people, like a lot of the big stores, the bigger cities get stuff. So we didn't get a whole lot, but that's okay. We did get some cool stuff though. I'm going to save the best for last, but anyway. It was all Batman related. Very cool. I love it. So, first off, the animated film Son of Batman. Very, very cool. Love that. I've actually seen this before, but it's a very good film. So, yeah, Son of Batman. I liked that. That was cool. They also had Batman and Robin. That's the second of the trilogy of the Batman animated movies. So, now you just got to get Batman, what is it, Bad Blood? Yeah, so maybe one of these days at the Dollar Tree. But it was a Batman day for DVDs. And this one I've been wanting for a long time, and I didn't want to pay what they were charging on Amazon and different places. So I just held off. I'm glad I did. Look at this. Batman Return of the Caped Crusaders. This is Adam West and Burt Ward reprising their roles, if you will, at least in voice only, or at least in voice as the Caped Crusaders, Batman and Robin. So very, very cool. At the Dollar Tree, yeah, can't complain about that. All right, so anyway, that was our small, meager little finds at the Dollar Tree, but that's okay. Hey, not too bad. We're not complaining. But like I said, today was 50% off sale at our Goodwill. So we took a check and see if there was something really good. And we got some cool deals. Let's take a look. First off, I had seen this a couple days ago. We go to our Goodwill all the time because they bring in the truck Mondays and then Wednesdays. Once a month they have their 50% off sale. So we went Monday and checked out some of the releases and see if there was anything good there. This was here Monday, but I was like, I don't want to pay two bucks for it. So I waited. Eh, a buck. Okay. This is Phantom of the Opera. Yeah. So I'm not sure about it. I don't know much about this one. I haven't actually seen it. But it's Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera. So I was like, eh, it's coming Halloween time. So, hey, why not try a Phantom of the Opera? So, yeah, pretty cool. So, a buck. Hey, I'm not complaining. Looks really good. I like the artwork on the disc. Kind of cool in comparison to the artwork here. So, very cool. All right. Also, no, we're not going to do that one right now. There's one here that we don't want to do right now because it's really spectacular. So, we're going to hold off on that one. This was kind of cool. A lot of times you can find these releases that are what they call double takes. And they like the original and the remake And this one was there for only a dollar Look at this Rollerball the original and Rollerball the remake for only a buck 50 cents a movie? Yeah. There's only one thing I don't like about it. Two-sided discs. I hate those. But hey, 50 cents, what are you going to do? 50 cents a film? You take it and shut up. alright also one that I've wanted to see I know this is going to sound strange that I've never seen this film but one I've always wanted to see but I've never had an opportunity to check it out just never took the time or just you know whatever never had it but now I do it is and this is only a dollar this is Adam Sandler's 8 Crazy Nights very very cool so I'm looking forward to checking that one out That's kind of a holiday film. So, yeah, so that's holiday season is around the corner very, very soon. So, you know, so we're going to try out eight crazy nights this holiday season. Yeah, very cool. All right. This also was at the Goodwill Monday, but I was like, I don't want to pay $2 for it. I know I'm cheap. But, hey, you know, and sometimes you win, sometimes you lose when you say, I'm going to leave it. sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't, but it actually was back, it was there when I went back today, and so for only a dollar, Disney's Bridge to Terabithia, yeah, kind of cool, very, very interesting film, I'm not going to say it's the greatest film that Disney ever did, because it isn't, but, you know, for only a dollar, yeah, I'm going to try it, It actually, from all accounts as well, unless somebody did the code and left it in there, it comes with the movie rewards code. So we'll see if somebody redeemed it and then just left it there. Hopefully not. But that's pretty cool. Bridge to Terabithia. two amazing releases that I was really excited about is the last two. Okay, a while back I got the original U.S. release of Godzilla at the Goodwill, and was very, very excited about that, because I love the old Japanese kaiju films, but I don't like to spend a huge amount of money for them. Well, this was actually there, and I almost fainted when I saw this. A kaiju film. One dollar. Whoa! This is so cool. Guess what this is. This is unbelievable. This is Godzilla, yet again, but this time versus Mothra. I love it. Godzilla versus Mothra. This was only a dollar. I love it. Love it. Oh, it's so cool. So I'm going to be watching Godzilla and Godzilla vs. Mothra this Halloween season. Monster movies, yeah. Very, very cool. Kind of the same artwork on the disc, but that's okay. The cool thing is to have the film, and I'm very excited about that, Godzilla vs. Mothra. I love it. I love it. All right, this one, I'm going to be honest with you. I have never seen any of this show this show became very popular and then it spawned a whole bunch of movies as well but TV movies but I haven watched any of them and this was here this big humongous box set was here at the Goodwill and um box sets are $3, so this would entail $1.50, 50% off, and I was like, I don't know, I've never watched any of it, I've never watched the TV show. I've never watched any of the TV show or the series or the movies or anything. And I was like, I just don't know. But I was like, in the end, I was like, $1.50. Ah, just get it. You know. This is Perry Mason movie collection. Pretty cool, actually. Um, each disc has two, uh, TV movies, uh, dealing with Perry Mason. Uh, so yeah, uh, pretty cool stuff. Um, they have, let's, uh, check and see the way this is supposed to be. I don't think these go by, oh yeah, they do. Okay, there we go. Okay. This is the first one. It is the case of the glass coffin and the case of the fatal fashion. This is the first one. Then you got the second one here. This one is got the case of the fatal framing and the case of the reckless Romeo. So that's number two. And then the final one, the case of the heartbroken bride. And that's there we go. And the case of the deep skinned scandal. So, yes, six TV movies for a dollar fifty. that's not bad. Now, like I said, I've never seen them. Never watched anything Perry Mason. But I thought, well, we'll give it a shot. Just see what it comes out like. See if I enjoy it. Maybe I'll love it. I don't know. I've never taken the time to watch it. I don't know why. Just never have. So, we'll see. But, yeah, so it's been a productive day. I guess, for some hunting.
