Hey guys, welcome to this Classic Cinema Magazine unboxing video. Of course, this is Pastor Jay here with you and we just received this package here from Warner Archive. We already know what's inside. We've kind of been told what we're getting here. We've actually opened them up and checked them out a little bit. We already know, but we're going to let you see what they are. Both of these releases are coming to Classic Cinema Magazine, and this is going to be very cool. Check this out. The first release is this. Oh, this is probably one of my favorite Audrey Hepburn films of all time. This film is called Wait Until Dark. Back in the day, I had a VHS tape of this. I love this film. I got it at the Dollar Tree, I believe it was, or one of the discount stores, anyway, on VHS tape. And I love this film. The moment that I popped that bad boy in the VCR and I was watching it, this was way back in the day, a long time ago, when I was real, real young, and I checked this out, I fell in love with the film. It was just amazing, thrilling, adventure, keeps you on the edge of your seat, just love this film. So I had it on a VHS tape, and I was like, so I couldn't find it on DVD. So I was like, well, I got a DVD recorder, so I recorded it to a DVD for myself because I figured, well, you know how I was watching it all the time. So that VCR tape was eventually going to go down the drain. So I transferred it to a DVD and kept my eyes open looking for a DVD of it. Could never find it. Warner Archive came along and released this, the Blu-ray. Oh my goodness gracious. I saw that and I was like, I've got to check out this transfer, see what the Blu-ray looks like, because I am a huge fan of this film. Basically, this film is about three guys. Let's just say three guys. This was a stage play they made into a movie. three guys that are in search of a doll, and inside the doll, there is a pretty big fortune in drugs, yeah, so it is, they're looking for this, and it's really interesting, there's this lady, she um passes the doll off to a photographer he brings the doll home to his house and uh in his house uh there his wife his wife is played by Audrey Hepburn and his wife is blind And they know where the doll is at this point and they go to try to find this doll at her house They trap her in this house, and they're not going to let her go until they get the doll. Or are they even going to let her go after they get the doll? This is a suspenseful, just makes your nerves just go crazy. It is a great, great film. It's claustrophobic because you're stuck in this little apartment all by yourself, basement apartment. And your adrenaline rushes as Audrey Hepburn tries to fight back against these crazy killers. I mean, unbelievable. This is probably one of Audrey Hepburn's greatest film roles. In my opinion, it is Audrey Hepburn's greatest. Now, some people would say others, and that's what makes watching films such a great experience. What I think is great may not be your favorite. This, to me, is Audrey Hepburn's greatest role. I love it. I think she did the most amazing job in this film, and she's so believable, and I just love it. I'm looking forward to checking out how the release is, how the restoration is, and how it looks on Blu-ray. There's a lot of bonus features on here. Take a look at the Dark producer and Alan Arkin, one of the stars of the film, relive the making of Wait Until Dark. There's a theatrical trailer and a warning trailer. Oh my goodness, I love it. same artwork on the disc that's on the front cover which is fine I have a problem with that but I'm so looking forward to this we're going to probably pop this bad boy in today and check this thing out immediately because I am so excited about this film it's one of my favorites so thank you Warner Archive for sending that one our way we got one more here in the package and this one is really interesting we have this on digital. On Vudu, we had some Vudu points or Vudu money credit, if you will. We actually picked this series up on digital for $4 or $5, but I was like, I'm a physical media guy. The reason I am not a big fan of digital all the time is because sometimes if your internet goes out, let's face it, we've been having a lot of issues in our area with internet issues. And so our internet's been going in and out a little bit. And when that happens, you ain't got nothing to watch, man. If you're all digital, you ain't got nothing to watch. I mean, it's just, you're done, you know? That's why I like digital, the physical media. Well anyway I had this on a digital and I loved it And then Warner Archive said we going to release this on Blu And I was like you got to be kidding me You going to release it on Blu So I contacted them right away and they sent it to me Thank you so much, Warner Archive, for letting me check this out on Blu-ray. I'm a fan of the old 70s cinema and the 70s TV shows. And this doesn't get more classic than this when it comes to superhero stuff. Check this out. Shazam! Oh, I love this. This is the old live-action TV series of Shazam. Look at that cover art. Isn't that amazing? That is some great cover art. I love that. Oh, wow. I could just sit there and stare at it. It's just awesome. But there's four discs in this right here. You got disc one. You got disc two. You got disc three. You got disc four. all four discs, 28 episodes of Shazam. Shazam basically is sort of like, I won't say it's like He-Man, but if you remember He-Man and the Masters of the Universe TV show, they always had a lesson at the end of the show. And that's kind of what Shazam does. They deal with social issues, a lot of cool stuff like that, and bring a shine of light on some of the social issues and different things. And then Captain Marvel, Shazam, if you will, because that's a big licensing issue. DC had Captain Marvel. They lost the rights of that. Marvel took over Captain Marvel. Then it became just Shazam. But anyway, Captain Marvel used to be a DC character. And he is in this series here. But anyway, Captain Marvel comes out, and he, you know, says, today in today's episode, we saw this, you know. And those are really kind of cool. You get the action, the adventure, all that type of stuff, but then you get a lesson at the end. I don't know. Those just kind of are cool to me. I don't know. I just think they're cool. So I'm really looking forward to checking out Shazam. Oh, my goodness. And like I said, I love that artwork. Oh, the artwork on that front cover is just spectacular. My goodness. Oh, that is great stuff. So, yeah, 28 episodes on four discs, four Blu-ray discs. Yeah, I'm going to check out and see what the quality is. Probably compare it to the digital, kind of see what happened there. I'm sure Warner Archive did a spectacular job. I have never found Warner Archive to do something shoddy. You know, I have been absolutely amazed at everything they've done so far. I have yet to find anything that I am not blown away by. So, yeah, Shazam! the complete TV series on Blu-ray. Oh, what an amazing thing. Oh, I'm looking forward to it. 635 minutes of Shazam goodness Oh yes So yeah those two releases we will be reviewing very very soon here on ClassicCinemaMagazine Thanks again to Warner Archive for sending these our way.
