I can show you how to warm up real fast. You ready? This is a trick I learned. Homer's Hank showed me this. This is how you warm up your hands real fast. You ready? There you go. See, now I feel my hands. They ain't that warm. Try it, Eddie. Go ahead. That's all right. I'll take my chances. Well, anyway. But, but, happy Christmas. Why do you have to say happy Christmas? What do you mean? Ain't nobody says happy Christmas. Yeah, people say happy Christmas. You mean what? Well, I just did. I just said happy Christmas. You don't count. I don't count. Oh, I don't count. I don't count as a person. Oh, I don't count as a person. you said I don't count as a person. No, you just not. Stop your balls. But I can't help it. I don't count. You want to open a gift? Oh, you got a gift? Well, hand it over. Well, not yet. Not yet? Well, why not yet? Well, if yours shut off pretty fast. Well, I want my gift. Can I have my gift? No, not yet. Well, why not? Let me ask you something, Annie. Before we get started, look at my beautiful tree. See, that's Christmas. That just screams Christmas, doesn't it? See, that's not a great scream, but I ain't sure what it's screaming. I think it's pretty. See, I've got a nice couple ribbons on there, and I've got a nice big ball there, a little ball there. And see, you know, that's my evergreen. See, that's my evergreen. It sure don't look like an evergreen tree to me, I'll tell you that. Well, you better go back to one of my trees over there. Maybe it's an ever-brown. Yeah, that's what it is. It's an ever-brown. There we go. That's an ever-brown tree. That's a new species. It's something, but, you know. Yeah, I like it, though. I like it. I'm in the Christmas spirit, Amy. I'm in the Christmas spirit. And, okay, you've been in the Christmas spirit. Yeah. Let's go to lunch first and you know what that money I gave you. Uh, uh, you know what Eddie, I think it's kind of nice this time of year, don't you? It's not too cold and the snow's not involved too. What did you do with the money? What money are you talking about? I worked to get that money. What? I worked to get that money. Andy, you said a dirty word. You said work. You worked. I worked. Oh, my goodness. Let's have a word of prayer for the dead. Andy, I'm telling you. You disappoint me. You worked. Shame on you. I bought the money. What did you do with the money? What money is that again? The money I worked to give to you so that we could go eat lunch today. Have a Christmas dinner. You know what, Annie? I heard, I heard, I'll tell you what we can do. Why don't we go down to the Midnight Mission? I heard they're having turkey and mashed potatoes and stuffing and all the trimmings. They're having it all, Annie. They're having everything. I don't want to go, I said. No, no, no, no. No, listen, listen, listen, listen. See, at the midnight mission, all my friends are going to be there. And I'll tell you what, even homeless Hank, homeless Hank, he came back from his vacation in Florida to come home for Christmas. He came home for the holidays, for Christmas from Florida. So he spent all his money to get there, and he has to go to the homeless soup kitchen, see? Well, you've got to do what you've got to do, I guess. But he left Florida. He left Florida to come here. Well, I don't understand why he'd leave that warm city and do all that to come to this cold place in the first place. I mean, that don't make no sense. Well, Molly, she told me that he had no choice but to leave Florida. He was thrown out because of fragrancy. It's not fragrancy. It's vacancy. No, it isn't. Because I'm telling you, she said fragrancy. He said something about that because he was polluting the area or something. That's what Molly told me. Don't get off the subject. Okay, what was the subject? I want to know what you did with the money I made so that we could go out to eat. You ain't going to let that go, are you? I'm not going to let it go. I want to know what you did with my money. You riding that horse, boys. And I'm going to write it to you. Tell me what you did with my money. It's kind of a whole story, Annie. Hey, I've gone all afternoon. I ain't gone anywhere, apparently. Who are you looking at there? I don't know. Trying to, you know, hey. Oh, okay. Trying to pull my sleeve down. Oh, it's not cool in here. I told you. What did you do with the money? What did I do with the money? Okay, I'll tell you. But it's one thing. Are you going to get mad at me? I'm not promising you anything until you tell me what you did with my money. Well, I... All right I start off where at the beginning I think that a good place to start Alright Let get it going Well see you gave me the money You remember I remember. Okay. Well, see, I was out looking at all the fancy decorations in the store. See, like my fancy decorations. Let's get to the point. Okay. I was looking at all the fancy decorations in the store windows. They have some nice ones, you know. Get to the point. Okay. I'm looking at the fancy decorations in the trees and all that type of stuff. And they have some really nice ones in the apartments. Okay, okay. I came to Molly. I came to calling Molly. You remember Molly, right? You know Molly. I know Molly. Okay. Molly, she's not. She's not. But go ahead. No, she's not. What is that word? You heard me. Go ahead. Tell the story. But anyway, Molly, she sat there and she told me she wished me a Merry Christmas. She said, Merry Christmas. and I said, hi, and I said, oh, okay. She said she hadn't ate in four weeks. Four weeks? She said she hadn't had enough to eat in four weeks. And that's going to include you in there that she wasn't telling the truth. But get to the story. Well, anyway, it hurt my heart real bad. So what I did was I dumped down into my pocket, and I pulled out $10, and I gave her $10 so she could eat. Boy, she ain't ate for four weeks. At least that's what she said. What'd you do with the rest of the money I gave you? Okay, well, see, after I gave Molly her money, I was walking down the street. Okay, and I came in there with Santa Claus on the street. I met Santa Claus. I met Santa Claus. He was out there. He had a big pot. Now, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about he had a pot. And he was sitting here going ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. I was like, what are you doing? And he said, I'm collecting for the poll. And I was like, oh, that hurt my heart. So I dug down in the pocket and I poured out some money and gave it to Santa Claus for the poll. You gave my money to Santa? No, Danny. He said there was orphans. He was collecting for orphans. And he said orphans weren't going to have no Christmas dinner this year. So I may not hurt her. So I gave him the money for the orphans and they won't have nothing to eat. They're not as fortunate as we are. I'm pretty unfortunate. I ain't eating no dinner today because you took my money. How did you do with all the money? You still should have had money. Do I have to go further? I don't want to know what you did with my money. I have to go out and eat today. I was depending on that money to have me a good Christmas dinner. Okay, this makes me feel real bad, Annie. But anyway. Don't be angry with me anymore than me. Go ahead. But I was sitting in church last Sunday. Well, that's a good place for you to be. Well, you was there, weren't you? I said it's about time you went there. Yeah, well, but anyway. Go on with your story. But do you remember what Pastor Algood said about last week or was you sleeping? Go on with your story I want to know what you did with my money Okay, well anyway I was sitting there and This was one time I wasn't sleeping I was awake And Pastor Allgood, he said There's miracles yet, but go ahead Well yeah, but Hey, was that a shock? If you didn't feel anything Then it wasn't a shock Anyway, but anyway Pastor Allgood, he was preaching And he said, he was talking about the missionaries. You know, the missionaries in our church, they're going to go over to Africa and they needed a bunch of money. They needed some donations so that they have money to go to Africa to tell the story of Jesus. And he said, if you can dig deep and give to those that have never heard of the gospel of Jesus. And I reached down into my pocket and I pulled out what was left. and I dropped it in the place. Oh, Eddie, I'm so sorry. But see, Pastor Olson, he sat there and he said, he said, you know, we need to give so that people could hear the gospel of Jesus and it talked on my heartstrings and it made me go, I gotta give and so I gave him your money. I'm sorry, Annie. You shouldn't have given me the money, I guess. I just don't know what to do. I can't be trusted. I can't be trusted for nothing. I gave away all your money. I guess the Lord will have to, you know, give us a dinner some on the way, you know? It's just going to be a lousy Christmas and I know what it's going on. I'm going to sing this song. I'm going to sing this song. I'm going to sing this song. Maybe that'll help me get into Christmas spirit. I'm sorry, Annie. Maybe that'll all drown the browns in my stomach and I won't know how hungry I am. You took my money. I'm sorry, Annie. Will you stop riding that horse? I feel bad. My stomach's riding on horse. It's hungry. Well, I'm sorry. Sing something about some food so I won't be so hungry. I don't know of anything that has to do with food. Well, go ahead and get my mind off of it. See, homeless Hank, he told me. I was trying to talk to homeless Hank when he came home for Christmas. And see, I was talking to homeless Hank. And he's worse than you are about the Christmas spirit. Hey, I want Christmas spirit. Well, now, he's grumpy like you are. I sat there and went over to Homeless Hank, and I said, My Homeless Hank, I'm so glad to see you home for Christmas. And he said, Bah humduck. And I went, What? And I told him, I said, Why ain't you in the Christmas spirit? Give me the Christmas spirit. And you know what he said to me? He said, follow all the law I know. I was like, well, I ain't got a kid. Now you said that. I just told you I'm hungry. You took my money. Well, listen to this. You know, Christmas is not about eating, baby. Okay. Listen to this. This is what Christmas is about. Okay, go ahead. Holy night The stars are brightly shining It is the night For dear Savior birth long lay the world in sin and error pining Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth A thrill of hope The weary world rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees. No, hear the angels' voices. Oh, night divine. Oh, night when Christ was born. Oh, night divine. Oh, night divine. See, does that not put you in the Christmas spirit? That's very nice, Jerry. You did a very good job. Thank you. I'm proud of you. Thank you. I tried. I tried. I'm sorry I gave away. That's all right. I'm glad you helped those that were, you know, less fortunate. And you did good. I'm not going to say any more about you. No, I'm hungry. I'm not going to say anything. Well, now you're saying it, Amy. You're making me feel bad. I know. Your sister didn't give me a compliment and then you give me a singer. Oh, well, I'm trying to be better at this Christmas season. And furthermore, what's this envelope there for anyway? Well, I don't know. I don't read. I can't read. You know that. Somebody dropped that off a couple days ago. Wait, they dropped it off at your house? Yeah. I don't know. The mailman normally don't come to my house, but he came today, that day. And I don't know. I can't read anything. So I just, you know. So I just left it there. I figured if somebody wanted to read it, you could read it or something, but I can't read it. I don't know an A from whatever. What's that little crooked letter? Hey, Harry. Huh? What is it, a bill? Do you believe in miracles? What's a miracle? That means that God performed something that, you know, faith brought to you. Okay. Well, I guess I believe in God. It means that something happened to you that you couldn't have happened on yourself. You had to have God's help to be. Oh, wow. I believe in God. Well, this miracle, this is a miracle. What is it? What does it say? What does it say? Hold on. Does it say a homeless hang got a million dollars? Well, why would that help you? Oh, that's a good point. Yeah, that wouldn't help me. Homeless hang, it kind of stingy. This here, this is for you. Oh, it's for me? It's for, you know, it doesn't have your neck. It just says, oh, it doesn't say hair? Well, you know, hold on. You're like, hey, do you have that? Tell me what it says. I'm excited. I want to see a miracle. What does it say? You ready now? Okay. Go ahead. I'm ready to hear it. I'm ready to hear it. I want to hear it. What does it say? If I can read, I look at it myself, but I don't know what it says. See, I can't read it, but what is it? Okay, I'll shut up. Go ahead. Okay. Okay. I'm right. Oh, sorry. I won't say another word. I promise. I won't say another word. I'll keep quiet. I'll sit over here. I won't say that. I'm not talking. Well, I'm excited. You said it's going to be a miracle. I want to hear what the miracle is. Keep quiet. You will hear it. I won't say another word. I promise. Okay. I won't say another word. I won't say nothing about what's in this. I won't say nothing about nothing. I won't talk about Christmas. I won't talk about nothing. I'll just be... Go ahead. I won't say nothing. I promise. No, no, no, please. Don't leave, baby. Don't leave, baby. I want to know about the miracle. I'll go get another friend and go. There ain't no friend that would like you. You're too mean. Oh, that was not the Christmas spirit, was it? It sure wasn't. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Andy. I love you. I really do. Ouch! Well, that wasn't the Christmas spirit either. Well, you're not looking a very good Christmas spirit. Hey, that was a... Never mind. Do you want to know what's in this note? Well, I've been asking you about what you want to do now. I have not said nothing the whole night. It still is flapping for something that's been zipped. All right, here. Watch. You ready? You ready for this? You ready? Here we go. Zip. Now my lip is zipped. Oh, wait a minute. That's right. If you do that, then you can't. That's right. You can't say nothing. All right. I promise. I promise. What did you say? Cross your heart. Just zip your lip. Okay, here it is. It says, greetings, friends. Who's friend? Oh, sorry. I'm sorry. Greetings, friends. Friends? You are invited. I'm invited to what? Oh, sorry. I just want to know what it says. You are invited to a free... Free what? Free what? Did I get a free dog? Did I get a dog for her? and I can't talk for Christmas, Danny? I do need a friend. Yeah, oh, I'm sorry, I'm talking again. Go ahead, I promise I'm done, I'm done. I won't say no more, go ahead. It is a free dinner for two. At this most fancy restaurant What Where all of the rich people go What are you gonna say now Well you can read what would it do you any good to look Well show me what it says But anyway, you can go to this fancy restaurant. You and I can go and we get a free dinner. Who said you could come? They said me. I thought it was addressed to me. You said that was addressed to me. It doesn't have nobody's name on it. It just came to your house. Well, it came to my house. It was for me. Well, who said you to come? Is there enough for two? It says for two. Oh, for two? Well, maybe I'll take home this hat. Then I ain't going to tell you the rest. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Go ahead. Go ahead. Tell me. Tell me. Tell me what it says. I don't know what it says here. All I see is a bunch of squiggly lines. What does it say? It says, it says, That's exactly what it says. Yeah. It says two people can go to this fancy restaurant. On the restaurant, you don't have to pay for it, and it has all the trimmings, turkey, stuffing, and the whole nine yards. For me? And you? Oh, now you're including me, huh? Well, I ain't got nobody else. Well, holy cow. pull his hands, he don't like me. I told him, he sat there and told me, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, no. So really, I guess he's not in the Christmas spirit, so he don't get Christmas dinner. Ah, that's a good thing. Now I'm your friend. You was always my friend. I just, you know. So anyway, this says, so this is that we end up paying nothing. You don't pay anything. So why are we sitting here? This is really interesting, Annie. You know what? I just thought of something. You remember what Pastor Allwood did? Yeah, well, every so often. The Lord helps him to help themselves. I don't know where that belongs in here. But anyway, you know, if you remember Pastor Allwood, last week, I didn't think he did until just now. He sat there and said when he was talking about that orphan, about the missionaries, you know, and all that. He said, give all that you can. And you know, I don't know if you might have stuck through that part. But he did say, you can't out give God. Now look at this. We gave, I gave your money. I took it out of the goodness of my heart and gave your money to the homeless and to the helpless and to those in need. And now we get to go to a fancy restaurant instead of just a regular restaurant. Boy, we're going to be something going up in that fancy place, ain't it? They ain't going to never see nothing like it. Are you missing my tree? Angie, you busted my tree! You busted my tree! How did you bust my tree? I didn't bust your tree. What'd you do to it? But I agree with you. Aw, now my tree's dead. My tree's dead, Angie. It was kind of dead before. Oh, now what do I do? Just sit. Put it down there. Now, I'm going to... I think we need to have a prayer for the dearly departed. I'm going to take... Let's have a prayer. Hey, let's get back to the thing. Yeah, let's get back to the thing. What's the thing? I have to agree with Pastor Oldman. What? What was I saying? That, you know what? You can't out-give God. And it's his birthday today, Christmas. And you know what? When you give, you give his birthday, and you get blessed. And you know what? And that's a miracle. That's what I said. That's your miracle. That's what a miracle is. Where does it say free? What's the word that says free? Always have what that word says? I like that word. It says free. I like that word. Well, I bet you do. Yeah, I like that word. Well, then I think we ought to live in the Christmas spirit and do that. That when we can give, we ought to give. And not be mad that I gave your money away. I'm not mad that you gave my money away. Oh, well, that's good. Well, I tell you what, here. Let's thank you, Lord. Here, God, I want to thank you for what you provided for us. You know, maybe I didn't do the brightest of things giving away Annie's money. But I did give because you had people that needed it more than I did. And more than we did. And Father, I want to thank you that you gave us a blessing. Father, may we be an example to other people of what Christmas is all about. That we love other people. I thank you. I thank you for everything that you've provided for us and now as we go to eat Father may we be an example to people this is Harry saying goodnight alright let's go eat Annie my stomach's right alright do I take this with you? you gotta take that oh okay well let's go eat Annie let's go eat and have a good Christmas dinner I love it this is good Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. you
