Transcript: Christian Movie Reviews: Unboxing New Releases from Mill Creek Entertainment

Music Greetings Classic Cinema fans this is Pastor Jay here with you once again on a Classic Cinema Magazine unboxing video. We just got a new package today filled with some awesome releases from the good folks at Mill Creek Entertainment. So these are some of the January releases. We're looking forward to checking out what's inside. All of these releases will be coming for review, getting a full written review at classiccinemamagazine.blogspot.com. So be sure to go there every day as we post something new every single day. All right, let's open this up and see what's inside. Alright, let's start off. Here's the first release. Okay, this is Savage Creatures. This looks to be a zombie. Oh, okay. Two vampires realize their food source is in jeopardy when alien creatures land on Earth, causing humans to become rabid zombies. There we go. All right. So, yeah, Savage Creatures. That sounds pretty cool. All right. That'll be interesting to check out, see what that's like. It looks like sort of like one of those low-budget, you know, creature features. So that's okay. We'll check that out. So there we go. Savage Creatures, you may want to check that out. You can pick those. This one up, I believe, is available right now on Amazon and Mill Creek and your local DVD providers as we're talking right now. Alright, next one in the package. Okay, we're going to love a little J-Lo, right? Alright, this is Jennifer Lopez made in Manhattan. Alright, Jennifer Lopez is really a great singer and a pretty nice actress too, she's pretty good. So this is a romantic comedy type thing, and I'm going to open this up because this is a Blu-ray DVD combo pack. So yeah, that's pretty cool. So you get the Blu-ray and the DVD. We can fix them up. There we go. So each disc has different artwork. Very cool. And yeah so there you go Made in Manhattan That going to be an interesting one to check out And so yeah So Made in Manhattan as well What else Let's go through these, see what else is in here. That's kind of a strange one there, isn't it? You got a horror, then you got a romantic comedy. Okay, what's next? Okay, here's another horror one. Okay, this is Rampage Jackson. Yeah, MMA star. This is Psycho's Path. I actually saw the trailer of this, and this looks pretty interesting. It's, again, one of the lower-budget type of films. It's not one that's got a huge budget, but looks interesting. So, yeah, Psycho's Rampage. Let's see, this is residents of Brownsville. Don't know it yet, but their small, sleepy little town is about to be awakened by death. Yeah, so there you go. Psycho's Path. Interesting. Alright, what else? Let's see, there's another one. This is... alright, this is a... oh, this is really interesting. Okay, this is really perfect because... I'm going to show it to you in just a second. But all the big buzz is on Joaquin Phoenix because of his role in Joker, the film Joker. And this is really kind of cool. I had to fix that. The DVD was rolling around, so I want to make sure I fix that. Okay, this is going to be a Joaquin Phoenix, if I can get the name out. Joaquin Phoenix double feature. This is Reservation Road and Return to Paradise. So that's perfect just in time for the fact of all the awards buzz that's going on with Joker. This is a perfect release and a perfect time to check out some more Joaquin Phoenix. So that's really awesome. That's a good job by Mill Creek Entertainment for that, for giving us a chance to enjoy some more Joaquin Phoenix. Very cool. All right. What else? But we will, as we said, we are going to be reviewing all these. So if you want a deeper look at what these films are, we'll be doing that in written form. So that's why we're not really going deep into what these are right now. Okay? Next one. Very cool. I was looking forward to this release. This is The Color of Magic and Hogfather. Yeah, that's pretty cool. I like that. I like these fantasy type of films. Those are some of my favorite things in the world. I really enjoy those. This is a two disc Blu set Each film gets its own Blu so that is very cool Very awesome And I like that a lot. So this is on Blu-ray for these two films. Let's see. These look to be sort of like mini-series events because the total run time is 6 hours and 32 minutes. So they run about three hours each, so they're like a little mini-series event. Yeah, one runs 191, and the other runs 189. So, yeah, so there you go. So these are like mini-series things, but yeah, I like that. The Color of Magic in Hogfather. Sounds awesome. Oh, I'm looking forward to that. Really looking forward to that one. Alright, here's another Blu-ray. Oh, I like this. Okay, this is pretty cool. Alright, this is Jack Lemmon. Ted Danson and Ethan Hawke in Dad. Pretty cool. And Walter Matthau and Ozzie Davis in I Am Rapaport. Very, very cool. All right. Looks like some really good dramatic presentations, so that's going to be very awesome. Yeah, so I'm looking forward to that. Yeah. All right, we'll know more or greater about these once we watch them, and check them out. But, yeah, they look really good. I like that. I love Ted Danson. I think he's really good. Walter Matthau is amazing, and I love Ozzie Davis. You know, so, you know. I have an Ozzie Davis film. I can't even remember. I'm sitting here trying to think of it now. But it's a baseball film. It's about him being an older baseball legend that is trying to escape from life and just not be the baseball legend. And this kid, to him, he's just the old man down the street, but then he finds out that he is the baseball legend. I mean, unbelievable. And so, yeah, I'm looking forward to that. I am Rappaport with Ozzie Davis. That's going to be really cool. All right. All right, I think there is, yeah, there's a couple more in the package. So this is a pretty good, amazing amount here. Okay, here is one more. This one is Kristen Bell and Diane Ladd. This is Gracie's Choice. All right, these are kind of an interesting... I think this is more the... I'm going to have to look into this a little more, but I think, if I'm not mistaken, this is more the faith-based kind. I don't know. We'll have to look. We'll have to look into that. but alright final one in the package is all perfect I like this Alright This is the Pathfinder and Song of Hiawatha Really cool Pathfinder from the author of Last of the Mohicans Very very cool. Yeah, this is really awesome. This is going to be awesome. So yeah, so there we go. This is Pathfinder and Song of Hiawatha. Alright, so there is the newer releases from Mill Creek Entertainment.
