Transcript: Leaving Babylon: A Christian Perspective on America's Decline

The New Testament Over the past 48 hours, members of our community all over the world have been receiving dreams and other revelations that we should immediately leave the US. Already, tickets have been purchased for most of our members and within a week, we hope to all be out of there. Even among ourselves, we have more or less assumed that this is only a drill, a test from God, to see if we are prepared to move when he tells us to move, so I must be very clear with regard to making this move public as well. It probably is not about a literal attack on the US, even though we have believed for decades that destruction awaits America somewhere down the line. But it still is something that every American needs to think about. Is your faith in God strong enough to survive without the support that life in the US means for you at the moment If destruction were imminent do you have such a relationship with God that you think he would warn you in time to leave And if he did warn you, in a dream or through some other means that the country was going to be destroyed would you even bother to take it seriously? In the 17th chapter of Luke's Gospel, Jesus talks about his followers being instructed to flee much like Lot did from Sodom and Gomorrah, and he says, If you are on the porch, do not even return to get things from your house. If you are on the field, do not turn back. That's the kind of obedience that God expects from each of us. When HE speaks, procrastination is not an option. What this channel has been saying for more than two years now is that God wants us to quit our jobs, forsake our possessions, and go into all the world to preach the gospel. Practically every day there is yet another religious organization born in the US and yet none of them ever leaves the country It too comfortable there So going into all the world is something left to others Even the people who are sent into mission fields around the world are enticed to leave the US with good salaries, nice houses, and regular trips home to visit their families. God wants more than that. The Bible says that Abraham left everything, not even knowing where he would end up and that was the kind of faith God was looking for. Abraham had no country, no organization, not even a religion, just a belief that there must be something more to life than the 9-5 routine that dominates people all over the world. We need the faith of Abraham today, more than ever. Over the past three years we made a lot of friendly contacts with people in the US many of whom talk about stepping out in faith some day Unfortunately for most of us some day never comes Are you going to be left stranded spiritually and maybe physically as well because you could not make that final step of faith to link up with others who are doing all we can to literally obey Jesus today, as the first Christians did in Bible times? He is coming, brothers and sisters, and I don't think he is coming for discussion groups or wishful thinkers. He is coming for people who can hear his voice and leave the system behind. Remember Lot's wife, for as it was in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man.
