Transcript: Jesus' Teachings vs the World: Uncovering the Truth

I say, teachings of Jesus. And you say, but my pastor says, I say teachings of Jesus. And you say, but Paul says, I say teachings of Jesus. And you say, what the Holy Spirit told me. I say, teachings of Jesus. And you say, what the Torah says. I say, teachings of Jesus. And you say, but the early Christians didn't. I say, teachings of Jesus. And you say, but my family will starve. I say, teachings of Jesus. And you say, you're trying to work your way to heaven. I say, teachings of Jesus. And you say, the world is different now. You see how you're poking God in the eye each time you do that? He has sent His Son, and what do you do to Him? You do exactly what the Pharisees did. You say to yourself, ah, this is the error. If we can get rid of Him, if we can shut Him up, then we can preach or believe anything we like. This is the creator of the universe that you're provoking to anger, with all of your excuses for ignoring his son. His son who suffered the most horrendous torture and death for you. I used to think it had something to do with me, but it doesn't. Jesus said, if they've called the teacher a devil, how much more will they call those who follow the teacher devils? The world hates the teachings of Jesus, but the church hates them even more. That includes most of you who view the videos on this YouTube channel please read through at least one of the Gospels today making notes about how your life would be different if you followed Jesus the way that his first disciples did Then write to me, so that together we can talk about ways to more effectively follow those same teachings of Jesus. Now, I issue that challenge to many people every week. Well, hardly anyone has ever accepted it. Instead, I get more of the reactions that I listed earlier. I say, teachings of Jesus, and they say, that's just your opinion. I say, teachings of Jesus, and they say, but I've heard you're an evil cult leader. I say, teachings of Jesus, and they say, I bet you don't follow them yourself. I say, teachings of Jesus, and you say, who are you to judge me? I say, teachings of Jesus, and you say, I'm not going to talk to you until you tell me your name. And still I say it again and again and again. The teachings of Jesus. The teachings of Jesus. The teachings of Jesus. What are you going to do about it? Because I'm telling you, unless you stop fighting him and start letting him talk to you through the four Gospels you are going to hear the equivalent of this video over and over again for the rest of eternity. And they will not offer the comfort they could offer you now. If only you would open your Bible, read what he said, and then start believing it. Teachings of Jesus.
