Transcript: Christian Movie Reviews: Unboxing 32 New Releases

Greetings Classic Cinema fans, this is Pastor Jay here with you today on the Classic Cinema Podcast here. This little unboxing type of video, we're giving you a little heads up on some new releases from Mill Creek Entertainment. We've got four new releases from Mill Creek Entertainment. We're going to let you know a little bit about them. These all will be coming for a review. A written review at classiccinemamagazine.blogspot.com so you don't want to miss out on that. You want to be sure to go there every day. Every day we put something new up. Usually around early in the morning, but no later than noon. So every day we have something new up there. so you want to go there every single day. New releases from Mill Creek Entertainment. First off, this is Dolly Parton in Unlikely Angel. This one is really kind of interesting. Dolly Parton plays a country singer that gets killed in an auto accident, but in order to gain entrance into heaven to become an angel, if you will, she must do a good deed and kind of bring this family together. Very, very cool film, actually. We've watched this many, many times at our house, and this is a brand new release from Mill Creek Entertainment. So I'm looking forward to see what this looks like in comparison to another one we have. But it is a really good film, so I'm looking forward to checking this out again. It's kind of Christmassy, so yeah, good for Christmas in July, although we're going to be doing it Christmas in April. All right. This one is, talk about Star Studded. This is Heroes on Blu This has Henry Winkler The Fonz oh yes Sally Fields The Flying Nun or from Smokey and the Bandit, if you know that. She also was in Mrs. Doubtfire with Robin Williams, great actress. Yeah, so Sally Fields. And then if you look right there, you can see someone kind of interesting. That right there? That's a very young Harrison Ford. Very interesting. The film, basically, the tagline is kind of interesting there. It says, finding the one you love is finding yourself. so really kind of interesting I'm looking forward to checking this one out I saw these three stars on this one and I was like wow this has got to be good so we'll be checking out Heroes very very soon and doing a full written review of that this one really is something special because just here recently as we're recording this we lost the legendary Kirk Douglas. Okay, he passed away. This film is Kirk Douglas and John Schneider from Dukes of Hazzard fame. And this is Eddie Makin's Run. I've never seen this film, I'll be honest with you. Just like Heroes, I've never seen Heroes. But this one I have never seen. I actually didn't even know this even existed, to be honest with you. so this is really looking kind of interesting to me but you got Hollywood legend Kurt Douglas, I mean wow who didn't love that, and John Schneider and John Schneider, this is kind of according to what we've read and what we've saw it's like an action packed film and it's about a guy who is trapped in a Texas jail of course, John Schneider over here, okay, there we go and he's trapped in a Texas jail on trumped up charges and he just wants to get home to his wife and his kid but trying to escape if he gets caught then he up for life basically So this is really going to be kind of an interesting one. I'm definitely looking forward to checking this one out. Eddie Makin's Run. That sounds really awesome. Alright, and then the final one that we have that has come out is one that we're really excited about. We've been reviewing all the Ultraman films and TV series and all this type of stuff. This one is really, really cool. This is a very special release. We've been talking a lot about Ultraman in the fact that Mill Creek Entertainment has been releasing Ultraman and the Ultraman releases are all in the original Japanese with English subtitles. This is Ultraman X. This is the movie event, Ultraman X. Now the interesting thing about this Ultraman X Blu-ray, the movie here, on the back, it's right here and we have checked it out. this comes with English dubbing that special English dubbing where the vocals don't quite match up that's kaiju to me I grew up on those first watching the first Godzilla film and seeing that that doesn't quite mash up it just quite wasn't there and seeing all the Godzilla films that have been dubbed for English and seeing that and now we finally get this that has the English dubbing. I'm looking so forward to checking these out. This one out especially. I'm not against all the Ultraman things. I think every one of them has been amazing. But this one with the English dubbing has just got me excited. I'm looking forward to checking out Ultraman X. Four new releases from Mill Creek Entertainment. Really looking forward to checking these out.
