Transcript: Jesus Warns Against Pharisaical Hypocrisy

What I would like you to do while watching this very short video is to think about one thing. Pharisees. Think about that long and hard. Ask yourself, what would be the modern-day spiritual equivalent of what a Pharisee was to Jesus when he walked the earth. I'm bothered by the possibility that some of you coming to this channel have been deceived into thinking that I am here to promote the religious status quo . I constantly rant against the religious establishment, and still people think that they can be my friend and friends of the religious establishment as well. By implication, I fear that many of you have convinced yourselves that you can be friends of Jesus too, and still be friends of the religious establishment. It just has not sunk in that the church today is apostate. It has lost its way. It is not following Jesus at all. There is a sizable proportion of the church world, and especially the American church world that is hanging out for someone to come riding in on a big white horse bringing truth, justice and the American way to the so-called Christian church and by that, I mean all the modern-day equivalents of the Pharisees. These people have their politics all mixed up with thoughts about God blessing the very people who killed his son and about God blessing people who are continuing to fight his Son today. Now, before you assume I'm spouting anti-Semitism here, let me assure you that the people who are crucifying God's Son today are not just Jews. Pharisees, yes, a 21st century Pharisees, in their big, beautiful temples wearing their fancy robes, and hobnobbing with some of the most decadent secular leaders in history. Do you hear what I am saying? So many of you have been deceived by the leaven of the Pharisees, the ones who write all the books that you read and preach all the sermons that you listen to, before you will ever open your Bibles to the four Gospels and listen to the words of Jesus. Pharisees brothers and sisters get that into your head Your religious leaders all of them are Pharisees When you wake up to that you will start seeing the full gospels in an entirely different light Stop telling yourself that these modern-day equivalents to Pharisees are God's anointed ones, leading you little by little to the light. No! They are false anointed ones. You know that word, anointed ones? It just means messiahs or Christs. Were you aware of that? They are, in other words, false messiahs, false Christs. The very people that Jesus promised would abound in the last days before he returns. Until you can call a Pharisee a Pharisee, you are going to be forever confused, trying to tell yourself that your religious leaders are exceptions. God's not going to bless the Pharisees, and he's certainly not going to bless you because you bless the Pharisees. You are heading in the absolute 180 degrees wrong direction when you think like that. Only to the extent that your religious leaders are telling you to follow Jesus more than you follow them, are they anything else but Pharisees. Stop telling yourself that there are good Pharisees and bad ones, and that you are here to support the good ones. If any of you think I am here to find and promote good Pharisees, you are mistaken there too. I'm here to promote the radical, idol-smashing, shocking Son of God. A man who could be executed as a criminal and still save the world. And he did it, not by kissing up to the kingdom of Israel. Do you hear me? I don't know who wrote that verse everyone quotes about God blessing anyone who blesses Israel, but it wasn't Jesus. That wasn't his style. At best, he tolerated Israel. He worked around their hierarchy, avoiding them much of the time. But there were also times that he blasted them as damned hypocrites. They killed him because of it. Do you understand that? They killed him because he did not want a bar of their lukewarm puke. Jesus told a much hated Samaritan woman, The hour is coming when true worshippers will not worship God in that temple in Jerusalem. True worshippers will worship him in spirit and in truth. In other words, in sincerity. These are the kind of people that God is looking for. Do you understand that? God is looking for people who don't need church buildings. People who don even want church buildings They just want to travel around sharing the love of God with everyone they meet And for Christ sake don give me all that talk about Donald Trump making the kingdom of Israel great again He is no different to the many false messiahs that the Pharisees have been seeking for centuries. The church establishment is still looking for what the Pharisees look for... wealth, popularity and power. and they are still looking to the Caesars of the world to get it. They have become absolute traitors to the kingdom of heaven. From what I've heard, a lot of you watching this video right now have still not learned to tell the difference. You think Donald Trump was sent by God to save the Pharisees of America and you think your little band of Pharisees are the ones through whom God is going to save the world. But that simply is not going to happen. Please, people, if you have a good reason at all for being here, watching this video right now it should be because you are fed up with the lukewarm hypocrisy of the system. Don't ruin that by convincing yourself that some little offshoot of that same hypocritical lukewarm system you know, the part that you have aligned yourself with because you couldn't be bothered to get up and leave your comforts to go into all the world. Don't try to convince yourself that you and your Pharisee friends are the good guys, the exception. If anything is going to happen in these last days, if there is going to be a mass turning to God it is not going to come from the Pharisees of the so-called Christian religious system whether they be scribes, Sadducees, Zealots or just plain Pharisees. Now, I'm not saying that God can't change people. Anything is possible. But if God gave us the four gospels at all and if he wants us to learn anything at all about religious deception then we need to go through the four gospels and circle every reference to Pharisees. They are not nice people. Oh, they are popular, respectable, full of smooth words, even flattery at times. But down deep inside, they would torture Jesus literally to death if they could get away with it, just to shut him up. But you say, wait, Nicodemus was a Pharisee? Yes, he was. And sometimes we miss just how totally Jesus dismissed Nicodemus. And it all comes from that same silly delusion we have about good Pharisees. Jesus said to Nicodemus You would have to start all over again to even see my kingdom Nicky You are blinded by your counterfeit kingdom For all your religious talk and flattering words you have not heard what I am saying at all I have told you the truth, and you have not received my testimony." That's what Jesus said. Nicodemus did not receive his testimony. Do you understand that? Nicodemus left that night as lost as he was when he came. He went back to his religious ways and later, much later, when he tried to defend Jesus, his friends shut him up by saying, Are you an ill-bred Galilean too? And the Bible says that the moment they said that, Nicky just shut up, turned around and went home. End of argument. So why am I hammering this so much? And why did Jesus and the Gospel writers hammer it so much about the Pharisees always being the bad guys? It's because, like Nicodemus, we will never find what Jesus was promoting until we stop trying to defend, promote, and hide behind our miserable replacements. Now, there was one Pharisee who made it. The apostle Paul said that he was the worst sinner in the world. Why? Because he was, as Paul put it, a Pharisee of the Pharisees. And he compared all of that to a heap of shtang. Do you see what Paul thought of religious respectability? And I am asking you now, as I have done so many times before, to please, for Christ's sake, Let go of your religious counterfeits, your false hopes, your delusions about one day being successful without forsaking all, without being persecuted, and without going into all the world to preach the gospel. Let go of that and step out in faith. Stop putting it off. Discover the real Jesus of the four gospels. Discover the real Jesus of the book of Acts. Discover the real Jesus, who is going to come again and reward all those who have not been ashamed of him and his teachings. Please write to me today, telling me what country you live in.
