Transcript: Jesus Visits Pastor John Green: A Powerful Encounter with Glory

Hello, this is Pastor John Green. I'm right here in the Gold Coast here in Australia, and I'm here to share with you the most amazing, amazing experience that I've had with the Lord. I've been pastoring for the past 18 years, pastoring a church. It all began back in 2009. At that time, I had already been pastoring my Spanish church in Sydney for seven years. And as a pastor, I was doing everything a pastor should do. I was visiting. I was preaching. I was helping our church to grow little by little, casting the vision out. We were having retreats. We were having camps. So many wonderful things were happening in our ministry. but all of a sudden a little sister from God came to our church and she asked me a question a question that would change everything for me after I had been preaching that morning she approached me and she said Pastor John do you sense the mighty presence of God in your life and in your ministry I thought about that question and with my theology at that time I was thinking well the presence of God, the glory of God I remember that, I read that about the life of Moses how he had seen the glory of God I remember a little bit in my mind as she was speaking about Enoch, how he walked with God and he went to be with the Lord in Genesis I began to think about that. I wasn't really sure what she was talking about. I knew of my prayer life. I knew that I had been called to serve the Lord, and my prayer life was constant every single day. But her question drove me to a quest, and that quest took me from frustration, and I ended up in glory. What do I mean by that? Well, my friends, all of you that are listening to this, I want to tell you that God has something so amazing for our life. That when we approach the Word of God, and we come to those passages where the Lord challenges us and He says to us, Draw knee to me, and I will draw knee to you. When we meditate upon just that verse, just that phrase, to draw knee to God, and He will draw knee to us. we begin to pray and we begin to search we begin to seek God you know when the Bible speaks about seeking God it's not because God is hiding from us he's not playing hide and seek oftentimes it's us that we need to draw close to him because sometimes our hearts are not aligned to his purpose we get so busy I was so busy I was preaching and ministering and visiting people I was doing everything that a pastor should be doing. But the question was, is that presence, the glory of God, with you personally and with your ministry? That took me to a place where I began to read more and study more about the presence of God. First reading the Word of God, searching the Scriptures. Then I began to read books about revivals and the move of God Then I came to a site and a website called It's Supernatural by Sid Roth I would spend hours and hours and hours on end Listening, watching testimonials of people who had amazing encounters with God Then I went to a site called Divine Revelations and in that site too I spent hours and hours hearing testimonies and reading testimonies mighty testimonies of God coming to people empowering them so they can serve Him and they began to have a great impact I began to see videos hours on end of mighty men of God and women that God had been using throughout history and then it came to a point where the Lord literally said enough now it's time for you to come and to be with me in prayer I remember that day back in 2009 where I told my wife I said honey I'm going to church I need to seek God I need now to go and pray and you see when we were in Sydney at our church we were living in the same premises where the church was so I would walk just across from our house to the church about 50 meters and there I would spend that first night I well remember that first night I thought I was going to be there for hours I told my wife don't wait for me just go to sleep I'll be there for hours I remember opening the door of our church that night and I went in there and my heart was heavy there was frustration, there was a yearning and yet I knew that the Lord was going to do something amazing I didn't know when, I didn't know how but I took the first step to seek the Lord well that first step only lasted 15 minutes because 15 minutes later I arrived back home and my wife said what are you doing here you said you're going for hours. I remember that day and I told her, well, I'm hungry. I want to eat. And that's how it started, little by little. Sometimes it takes a step at a time for us to seek the Lord. And the Lord was patient. The next day, I was at my church at night for half an hour, then the following day for one hour, then the following day for an hour and a half. and my journey began. It was a three-month journey of seeking God, of being in the Word. At the end of that first week, I said, I'm going to be listening to worship music. So I had a special CD of worship music in Spanish and I would put that there and I would go to the altar and I would have a mantle on the floor. I would have my Bible. I would kneel down on that altar and I would just listen to that worship music for 57 minutes, just laying there, prostrated before the Lord, listening to the worship. And that's where I began. I began for my heart to be still, because the Bible says, be still and know that I am God. I was so restless. I was so restless, and yet God needed to still my heart. he needed to work within me first and i went through a four phase four step phase during those three months first i started off with frustration i was not satisfied where i was spiritually i wanted more of god secondly i went to prayer and i would be there every single night it was a commitment I made with the Lord every night in prayer. Thirdly, the Lord took me to the place of confession. Confession. And I began to confess to the Lord. It was really a work of the Holy Spirit in my life. And there were many things that I thought I had forgiven people or I had I asked the Lord for forgiveness, but the Lord, the Holy Spirit, began to work in my heart very deeply so I can just confess to the Lord. And His healing hand was upon me as He was just washing away with His precious blood all sin. Fourthly, I really began to worship the Lord. I began to understand what it was to worship the Lord to worship Him in spirit and in truth to worship Him because of who He is That last month of the three months all I did was just to bow down before King Jesus and I would be at His feet and I would worship Him. I would just want Him, nothing else. You see, I began with a list the first time, with a list thinking, these things are not happening at my church. These are the things that need to change. But by the end of the third month, that list was thrown away. It was really about me drawing close to my Lord. And my Lord needed to do a work in me. Well, what happened at the end of those three months was supernatural. I had been pastoring a Baptist church. I had been a Baptist kid all my life. But at the end of those three months, the Lord surprised me to no end. Remember, I started in frustration. And then the Lord in that last month took me to the passage of the word of God in Exodus 33, verse 18, where Moses said to the Lord, show me thy glory. I knew what the glory of God was. I had studied that in college, in seminary. but now I wanted to be with the Lord never expecting that something so miraculous was going to happen to me I knew of heaven because I studied about heaven but never would I have thought that the Lord would take me to heaven at the end of those three months and that's what happened that last night I went back to my house 2.30 in the morning I went back to my house My wife was sleeping. My son was sleeping. I went to the spare room and there, already full with the presence of God, I went and lay down. I closed my eyes and immediately I opened my eyes. And as I opened my eyes, I saw myself there in the presence of God. I was in my spirit. I could see myself. I saw the glory all around me, colors that I've never seen before. and then I saw myself, and I saw my hands, and I began to move them, while I was in the expanse of heaven, and I was saying to myself, where am I, is this heaven, now I knew I was in heaven, but my reaction, my natural reaction was of astonishment, and I was looking at myself, is this heaven, is this heaven, I was looking at myself, I can see my hands translucent, I was in my spirit, But then I saw myself. I was dressed in a white, glorious robe. Right next to me, there was an angel, 14-foot-high angel. And he was right next to me. Then I could see clearly in front of me, saints, a sea of millions of saints in front of me. Then I looked carefully in front of me. There was like a glass platform of gold, translucent gold. And we were standing on this platform. then to my right I could see the glory Shekinah glory of God shining like the sun but a trillion times brighter than the sun then I could see clearly all around me I would see angels some taller others smaller some with wings others without wings I saw saints and I saw the glory of God right before me and you know the angels said four things to me because I was asking myself is this heaven? And the angel said, you have been praying for weeks. Number two, he said, this is heaven. Number three, he said, you will see Jesus. And lastly, he approached and he said, and he's coming to see you. When he said these mighty words, I looked to my I saw the Shekinah glory of God and from within that glory I saw King Jesus coming walking out. All of those who were in heaven in that place they all looked towards that glory They were rejoicing because King Jesus was coming out to meet us all And at that moment, I saw the Lord coming out and I saw him in splendor and glory with a kingly robe and a blue sash that came from his shoulders right across his chest, around his waist and fell to his right. a blue that I've never seen, that beautiful color. And when I saw the Lord come out, immediately I said, He comes my master. He comes my creator. And then the Lord comes walking towards me. He walks towards me, face-to-face encounter with Jesus. And as He comes walking, I could see that love walks with Him. Mercy walks with Him. Grace is walking with Him. Every attribute of the Lord is walking with him And he draws so close Coming every step And he stands face to face with me And he said three things He said I know everything about you There is nothing you can hide I did not feel guilt I did not feel shame I just felt the joy of the Lord And his mighty presence His compassion, his love then he said my favor is upon you he smiled and i felt his mighty love i saw his eyes and in those eyes i saw the infinity of his compassion and love such glory and then he said go to the nations and preach the gospel. What a wonderful experience. You see, this changed my life. It changed my ministry. At that point when the Lord was saying that to me, I was seeing my master and I was being seen by him. This impacted me absolutely. Immediately when that finished, I woke up again. there in my room. I felt the glory of God all over me. I did not get up straight away. The day was a beautiful morning for us here. But when I got up eventually and I looked out, it seemed so dark. It seemed so, so dark in comparison to the glory of heaven. this changed my life and my ministry. From then on, the Lord began to work in my life. Through deliverance, through learning how to pray for people, for healing, I began to see the move of God in my life and in our ministry. We began to have revival and growth in our church. I began to experience every day every day how to approach the Lord in prayer and how to walk with Him. You see, I'm not perfect. I am like you. But all what I did was what the Lord told me to do. Draw me to me and I will draw me to you. Wherever you are right now I want you to know the Lord wants to use you in a mighty way. in a powerful way. If you would just draw me to the Lord, there is a journey that He wants you to take. I started from frustration and I ended up in glory. And now we're going throughout the world preaching the gospel, preaching the gospel. Lord willing, by the end of this year, we're going to be in South America, in Chile, reaching one million people with the gospel, both online and offline. so wherever you are my dear believer right now whether it be in the morning, midday or night my prayer for you right now is that you may seek the Lord with all your heart and He will draw new years to you may God bless you
