A brief introduction to Jesus Christ, who He is, and what He does. He's the Word of God He's the Prince of Peace He's the Good Shepherd He's the Rock of Ages He's the Resurrection and the Life He's the Light of the World He's the True Vine He's the tree of life He's the Passover And He's the great I Am Do you know what the name I Am means? The name I Am means You're not He's the Alpha and the Omega He's the First and the Last He's the Beginning and the End He always was Always is Always will be And never wasn't He's the Son of Man He's the Son of David And He's the Son of God He's the King of the Jews He's the King of righteousness And He's the King of Heaven He's my Father My Helper My Provider My Guardian and he's my God. His character is flawless. His reputation is spotless. His love is boundless. His word is priceless. His faithfulness is matchless. And his kingdom is endless. His arm is not short. and his ear is not dull. He's not a respecter of persons. He's not an idol. He's not a baby. He's not a myth. And he's not the God of this world. He's robed in majesty, wrapped in zeal, and armed with strength. His garments are whiter than snow. His robe fills the temple with glory. His feet are like bronze, glowing in a furnace. His eyes are like blazing fire. His voice is like the sound of rushing water. Out of his mouth comes a sharp, double-edged sword. His face is like the sun, shining in all its brilliance. And on his head are many crowns. He's unmovable. He's unchangeable. He's undefeatable. He's incomparable. He's incorruptible. He's invincible. And he's irresistible. That's Jesus. Give him praise. He's the Lamb of God. He's the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He the Spirit of prophecy He the only begotten Son He the Messiah He the anchor of our soul He's the bright morning star. He's the chief cornerstone. He's the great high priest and he's the wonderful counselor. He's a refiner's fire. He's a launderer's soap. He's a warrior. He's a stone to make men stumble, a rock to make them fall. And he's a friend who sticks closer than a brother. He never disobeyed his father. He doesn't lie. He doesn't break his promise. He doesn't forget. He doesn't hate you. He doesn't share his glory. And he doesn't fit in your box. He's the suffering servant. He's the Lord of the temple. He's the Redeemer of Israel. And He's the spring of living water. He's the mediator. He's the one the angels worship. He's the anointed one. And he's the blessed one. When I fall, he lifts me up. When I sin, he forgives me. When I'm weak, he is my strength. When I am lost, he is the way. When I'm afraid, he is my courage. When I'm attacked, he is my shield. When I'm shaken, He is my rock When I wander, He finds me When I stumble, He steadies me When I suffer, He weeps over me When I'm confused, He teaches me And when I'm rebellious, He disciplines me He's the head of the church. He's the foundation of our faith. He's the judge of the living and the dead. He's the rider on the white horse. He's the only one worthy to open the scroll. He's the rock that smashes the kingdoms of this world. and he's the only one the Father can trust. Now the world can't understand him. Sin couldn't tempt him. Satan couldn't defeat him. The Sadducees couldn't trap him. And the Pharisees couldn't confuse him. The persecutions couldn't shake him. And the cross couldn't deter him. Darwin couldn't remove him. The new age can't replace him. And the wicked can't stand him. The people couldn't get enough of him. The grave couldn't hold him. And the gates of hell can't stand against him. That's Jesus. Give him praise. His name is Yeshua. He's mighty to save. He's faithful and true. And He awesome in glory His mountain towers over all the others His yoke is easy His burden is light His word is eternal and His tomb is empty He's the sower He's the servant He's the strong tower And He's the same yesterday, today, and forever He's the potter He's the teacher He's the bridegroom He's the creator He's the gate He's the rock He's the consuming fire And he's the amen He's sovereign He's sufficient And he's supernatural He's the firstborn from the dead And he's the last Adam He's faithful in covenant He walks among the seven golden lampstands And he writes in the book of life In one hand he holds the seven stars of God And in the other he holds the key of death and Hades He sits at the right hand of the Father and He treads the winepress of the wrath of God Almighty. He brings justice. He brings conviction. He brings victory. He brings truth. And He brings love. Without Jesus, you're on sinking sand. Without Jesus, you won't find the way. Without Jesus' blood, you can't be righteous. Without Jesus, you can't have peace with the Father. Without Jesus, you can't overcome the kingdom of darkness And without Jesus, you're not getting past the angel at the gate of heaven He's merciful He's wonderful He's graceful He's faithful And He's all-powerful That's Jesus Give Him praise He's the seed of Abraham He's the rose of Sharon He's the lily of the valley He's the light of men He's the Bishop of Souls He's the image of the invisible God He's the friend of sinners He's the bread of life He's the Lord of the harvest He's the commander of angel armies He's the Holy One of Israel He's the Ancient of Days And He's the Savior of the world So don't ignore Him Don't mock Him Don't reject Him Don't doubt Him Don't let go of him Don deny him And don betray him He calms the storm He crushes the serpent. And he cleans our soul. He shines in the darkness. He drives out demons. and He searches hearts and minds. He lifts our burdens. He bears our sin and He baptizes in fire. He walks on water. He gives sight to the blind. He answers prayer. He sees what's done in secret. And he hears the cry of the afflicted. He fulfilled the law. He overcame the world. And he paid our debt. He cleanses the temple. He judges and makes war. And he's coming in his glory. Are you ready? He's the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He's Emmanuel, God with us. And he's El Shaddai, God Almighty. He's the desire of all nations And he's the only way to the Father Oh, I wish I could describe it But no words can explain him No rod can measure him No mind can conceive him No man can replace him. No canvas can illuminate him. And no temple can hold him. He knocks at your door. He cleanses the lepers. He loves the unloved. He feeds the hungry And He defends the fatherless He protects the innocent He lifts up the destitute He heals the sick And He raises the dead He forgives the sinner He frees the captive He blesses the children And He rewards the diligent He exalts the humble And He humbles the proud He frustrates the crafty And he punishes the wicked He's the lover of my soul He's the way, the truth, and the life He's the King of Kings And he's the Lord of Lords He's everything to me.
