Transcript: Christian Movie Collector's Thrift Store Finds | UltimateTube

Greetings Classics and my fans, this is Pastor Jay here with you one more time on this Treasure Hunter's Report. We've been taking you on this journey of a really humongous haul that we've been getting over the last few weeks as we have opened up where we're at and our pawn shops and Goodwills and different stores are opening up and we're able to check out some stuff. Today we're looking at our Goodwill finds. Not a huge amount of stuff, but some good stuff, and we want to share that with you. So we're going to jump right in and see some of the stuff that we've been picking up here. First off, we've got this one. This was really cool. Tom and Jerry. This is the Greatest Chases collection. There's 14 classic Tom and Jerry cartoons on here. Very, very cool. Love that. It is basically a little less than two hours long, about an hour and 40 some minutes. So pretty, pretty good amount of time. And we watch these again. These are really, really cool. Tom and Jerry love that stuff. Basically, everything you get is $2 at the Dollar Tree. So just to let you know that. Something that is very hard to find sometimes and uh i couldn't believe i actually came across this it is a it's not a spectacular film but it is hard to find and that is this whoopi goldberg in theodore rex it's a it's not a great film but it's a unique film and uh you can't find this film anywhere usually you you may want to cost it once in a blue moon basically and yeah I actually this is the second time I ran across this it was my fault I this was at the dollar tree I should have picked it up but I didn And then I went back to pick it up and it was gone And so it was my fault I should have picked it up Well, I did pick it up this time. So, that's Theodore Rex. Basically, you can see what that is. It's will be Goldberg in the future, and they have reanimated the dinosaurs, and Theodore Rex is a cop. it's what are you gonna do it was the 90s people 90s there was a lot of crazy stuff going on in the 90s so yeah so Theodore Rex was just a um one of uh the films that was of the 90s what are you gonna do but it was it's unique I like it all right um something that is uh I love me some Tom hangs right and this one came across and i was like i've gotta gotta add that the terminal this is a very unique film uh based on our true story and it is really a very interesting film i love it and and i'm glad i i was able to pick that one up very very cool about a guy who is uh basically um caught in the terminal uh because he's uh you know not allowed to enter the country and so he's basically in the terminal, and he has to live there. And it's really a very interesting film. It's really, really cool, so I'm glad I got that one. Terminal? Yeah, pretty awesome. Alright, then we got something here that I didn't even realize I didn't have, but I'm glad I picked it up. This is Ali Sheedy and Steve Guttenberg, and this is entitled Short Circuit, a classic in sci-fi films from back in the day. Short circuit Yeah I actually saw this on an episode of Pawn Stars The guy brought in a replica of the robot and I thought about it when I saw that and I thought do I have that and then believe it or not this is unbelievable but this is true I saw that episode of Pawn Stars saw that and thought huh do I have that I went through my collection didn't have it and believe it or not the next week there it was it was like you've gotta be kidding me so there it was so that's that's how sometimes things work so short circuit this one Bill Murray who doesn't love a little Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss this is a very interesting film called What About Bob about a guy named Bob who basically is driving his psychiatrist nuts very funny very cool very good film and I'm really glad we added that to the collection because that is really funny I like that alright this one I love Frank Sinatra love Frank Sinatra so this was an absolute must for me and that was this guys and dolls and plus it has marlon brando in it in a musical unbelievable you know you gotta have that so that's pretty cool guys and dolls frank sinatra marlon brando definitely a must and then finally we had uh added this one This was so cool. This is the Alfred Hitchcock collection. This one was brand new in the packaging, never been opened. And I was so excited about this because I have, I love Hitchcock. He's probably one of my favorite directors of all time. And this actually is, this has some Hitchcock films, but more than that, it has some Hitchcock films that are inspired by Hitchcock, if you will. One of them is a TV movie, Notorious, based on his original film. There also Rear Window which is a film based on his original film Rear Window with Jimmy Stewart This one stars Christopher Reeve Now I would have bought that for that film alone And then there is Life Pod, which is a film that was based on a short story that was suggested by Alfred Hitchcock. So really a great collection of stuff here from Alfred Hitchcock. Love this stuff. So, yeah, it was a really good little buy there. Only $2. It's 13 films there. Classic Silent Hitchcock as well as older Hitchcock as well as a couple episodes of the original TV series. All kinds of stuff in there for only $2. Definitely a great, great pickup. So, yeah, we've had kind of an interesting time. We're going to continue to collect and we're going to continue to do it, but we're going to continue to do it safely.
