We have gathered today for this memorial service to pay honor and respect to your dearly beloved mother. to your grandmother and of course to our friend and also those who are in Christ she is our sister in the Lord the book of Ecclesiastes 3 declares to every living thing there is a season for every matter and purpose under the sun. A time to be born and a time to die. There is a time to weep and a time to laugh. A time to mourn and a time to dance. Tiempo de llorar y tiempo de reír. to those of us gathered today in this place the season of our life in this present moment is dedicated to the remembrance of Margarita Vélez and it is a time to rejoice and yet it is a time to mourn Es un tiempo de regocijarnos, pero también es un tiempo de luto. Tears are good, and tears bring healing that God Almighty has built into our DNA. It's okay to express our loss. Está muy bien expresar nuestra pérdida. There's nothing shameful by holding back the tears in times such as these. but it is true after the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said we have to hold on to the memories that we had with our beloved Margarita who has passed on into the new dimension of time. And this dimension of time is called eternity. She has entered into the realm called eternal life. Which she has been blessed with as a gift through her faith and salvation in Christ. And she is at this present moment enjoying a glorious life with her beloved Savior. And she is also enjoying time with her loved ones who have gone before her. who have accepted and chosen this promised gift of eternal life found only in Christ. Margarita is in a time, a place now that is inseparable from time and space as we know it on this earth. in a space that is inseparable now in space and in time But I must tell you that before she passed into eternity but I must tell you that before she passed into eternity this dear lady raised laying upon her bed dying she raised her hand straight up into the air, as though she was witnessing a window of eternity opening before her. Margarita is in her new home now, which Jesus promised in the Gospel of John. He said, in my house there are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again. And I will receive you unto myself, that where I am, you may also be. Jesus came on Thursday, July 2nd at 3.27 in the afternoon. Jesus Christ came on July 2nd at 3.27 in the afternoon. And he took Margarita to her new home, the glorious world called the Eternity of Eternities. And he took Margarita to her new home, to that place that is called, beyond the eternity. She was 96 years of age. She had such a love of life and blessed others who knew her. By her wonderful, outgoing, fun-loving personality. And she was gifted with this personality by Almighty God. She had such a deep mother's love for her children and grandchildren and family members. It was so genuine and so profound. Not only did she have eight children of her own, but she is remembered for graciously caring for other family members' children because of unpleasant circumstances due to the children's control. One way that she would demonstrate this mother's love to all was through her cooking memorial dishes that were so memorable. People recalled this with great joy. saying no one could compare to the flavors that Margarita captured. And her pan de maiz, like mangui or a rosa gisado, she would reminisce with stories about her children and share memories and laugh about the happy moments. At times we would laugh and say, Margarita was like a mother hen who could not rest until all of her chicks were tucked under her wings. When anyone in this house was not in before sunset. You know, it's said that a mother's loving tenderness is the strongest of any human kind of love on this earth. And we see this in the animal kingdom. the biblical analogy of the mother hen gathering her chicks under her wings is in a threatening storm or the hour of danger. In any aspect of the animal kingdom, the fierce protection and watchful eye of the mother instinctively guards over her young and vulnerable little ones. But Margarita's love for her family far surpassed the animal kingdom. But above all, I must tell you, so I will not be negligent in mentioning the most important reason of why Margarita is experiencing the great joy of where she is living today. is because she had a true and real childlike love and faith for her Savior. Jesus said in the Gospel of Mark, Jesús dice en el Evangelio de Marcos, I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter into it. Twice a week we held services in this house and Margarita would join us. She loved singing the songs that glorified and honored her Savior Jesus Christ. She was so genuine in her belief. She would close her eyes and put her hand on her heart. She would raise her hand and witness that she was being touched by the presence of God. this was not a show it was very real as she was sitting at the gospel being preached she would nod her head in agreement with what was being shared even though she didn't understand English we wondered many times if God was bypassing her her physical or mental capabilities and went directly to her spirit and soul and witnessed the truth of scripture of which she was to her spiritual understanding This is indeed a divine miracle of God. This is the work of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life. There were times when one of Myrta's daughters, Olga, Rima, Myrta, would be praying for her. When she had need of encouragement or was ill. And as they were praying the scripture to her. Over her. She would amaze them. And begin to recite the scripture along with them. She had no pride in this. it was like pure innocence came and it came from her childlike heart you see this is because the word of God was tucked away in her heart and it was divinely planted there by her creator because she loved him did you know that the creator of the universe looks for your love I am here to tell you that the God who created you is waiting for you to come to him so he can shower you with his love and he will conquer you to bless you these are not my words these are God's word directly to everyone who will hear the gospel of Matthew 18 Jesus called a little child to him and he had the child stand amongst them and then he said I tell you the truth until you turn from your sin and you become like little children you will never enter into the kingdom of God Margarita's simple child but like faith and love for Jesus Christ grew into salvation. And at the end of her life saved her from sin and eternal death. but you must know this came with a price this salvation came because a result of the death of Jesus Christ And this is because of his life blood and his death upon the cross. Margarita confessed her sins. It cost, and she repented of them. she asked God for forgiveness that she might be called his child her two daughters led her in this understanding almost nine years ago it didn't stop there it was the beginning of her faith walk and this is the very reason that she is with her beloved Savior today salvation is a growing process there is no such thing as once saved always saved the book of Ecclesiastes 11 declares he's made everything beautiful in its time And he planted eternity in men's hearts and minds, a divinely implanted sense of purpose working through the ages that nothing under the sun but God can satisfy. This verse tells us that God Almighty planted eternity, which is a sense of knowing that he exists, and it's divinely planted supernaturally in the knowing of the individual. So this is where every human being's heart who has ever been born has... I'm sorry. Margarita's spirit recognized the great creator God. And what understanding she spiritually had. meant that her conscience was divinely and supernaturally inspired. To know that there's something more in this life than we live in at the present moment. Jesus said in John 14, I am the way, the truth, and the light. And no one comes to the Father but by through me. And this tells us no one will inherit eternal life or go to heaven unless they accept the author of life who is Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit witnessed this truth to Margarita's spirit and soul. She apprehended the truth and she apprehended her Savior. And he blessed her. This truth is made known and plain in her inner conscience. Because God Almighty showed it to her. He made her aware of it. Because she had a love for her creator God. Well, there's great joy in the hope that we as believers have. In the glorious afterlife that awaits us. though Margarita is no longer with us she is vibrantly alive and joyful in the eternal realm hallelujah she lives on in our memories and we are praying for you all to get through this time with peace that comes from the knowledge that Creator God loves you and He cares for you. One day we will all be at the crossroads of our life just like Margarita was in her final hour. Be honest. Ecclesiastes 12 declares, remember your creator earnestly now before the silver cord of life is snapped apart, or the golden roll is broken, or the pitcher is broken at the fountain, or the wheel is broken at the cistern, and the whole circulatory system of blood ceases to function. Then shall the dust out of which God made man's body return to the earth as it was, and the Spirit shall return to God who gave it. Let us always remember the wonderful memories that we all shared with our dear love, Margarita. for those of you who have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior may I encourage you to do so without delay before the silver cord of light is broken or cut and your spirit returns to God Almighty and our souls will live on forever either in heaven or in hell I encourage you to choose eternal life in Jesus Christ and live forever in joyful bliss in the eternity of eternities just as our loved one Marguerite has chosen. I would like to make mention and also patronize to Mirtha, Olga, and to Rima in regards to the remarkable and great care that they have given to their failing mother and grandmother. in terms of the great care and love they had with their beloved mother and grandmother. We've seen this in the time that they lived in the United States. We've seen this in the time that they've lived here in the United States. Myrta especially has set apart six years of her life to be the main caregiver. Myrta separated six years of her life to be the care. And she sacrificed these six years of earning income and also her social security debt. I say to you, this is love. It has been truly a wonderful demonstration of these three girls' Christian love. Even to the end of her life in this home. This was not an easy time for any of them. But they were all the stronger for it. I say to you girls, well done, good and faithful servant. May the Lord bless you abundantly for your faithfulness. Now we want to share some memories. If you have something to share, if you want to share something, If there's anyone of you over here today that you want to share with us, any memory of mother, you'll all come to this one. eh si, también queremos antes que nada que se me haya olvidado agradecerle a todos los que se han comunicado mensajes, fotografías flores cariño amor, apoyo la verdad que hemos recibido durante los últimos 8 o 10 días porque fue de antes que ya We want to thank you all that have been communicating with us. Girls will be here with Mother. All the calls, texts, chat, videos, flowers that we have been receiving from all the guides sending to Mother. We appreciate and condolences. We appreciate all your attention and love that you have shared with us and the memories with mother My mother she was having fear during these times I want to share this. She was fearful in these times all her life. She shared great fears. She was fearful of all the rain, the storms, the snow, everything. She was really very fearful. we worked with her all the time trying to calm her down during these times at one time i left her alone for a few moments a few moments i just went to the store i'm you you know, coming back soon. And then suddenly the sky turned black and a thunderstorm was coming. And when Grandma realized this, she ran all the way to the hill, went into Miss Mary's house, our neighbor. She knocked on the floor and she kept saying, agua, agua, water, water. And Mary understood her and opened the door and let her in. It was very funny because after Miss Mary let her in, she had to battle, trying to stop the dog from, you know, climbing on top of grandma. and grandma didn't want to do anything with the dog. This is another story when we used to, you know, put her to sleep and help her in her time of going to sleep when she was laid down. We always tell her, Grandma, how is the scripture says? In peace we may lay down, and we will lay down in peace. How, Grandma, how we'll do this? I will lay down in peace. I wanted for her to say in confidence, trusting, because that's what the word says. She will always say, I'm resting. So she never completed it, but it was funny. Sometimes she made it a little bit more. But she knew that she had to go to sleep. But she knew that she could go to sleep in peace. It was funny. Those are little things that we play. We played with her with all these things because she couldn't listen very well. She couldn't communicate as well. Yes. Olga wants to share something with Ramla too. I wanted to share with you guys, with the brothers, Bismar is here. those semanas that even in her last two weeks when i was going to her room to put her to sleep because she will start walking around their house looking for her children I will look for one meal. One meal. Okay, mama, it's time to go to sleep. Please drink your meal. And she will ask, well, where are my children, Olga? Are they all around? And she said, yes, mother, all your children are around. So that love that she had for all her children, and I know that all of you, my brothers, all my brothers from the biggest to the smallest, including David, I know that that love that she received and she gave to all her children. I know that mamá did not, was not, no tenía ofensa. She was not a parent. She was always a happy person. And that's why the word of God says that we can have rich. And a lot of education. But if we don't have love, we don't have nothing. She gave us love and we were able to give her love. Thank you, everybody. Would you like to share it? No. Okay. We could be saying a lot of stories about mommy for a long time. And it would never be enough because people keep calling us and giving us their memories and sharing them with us. And that was beautiful that everybody, you know, remembered her in such a beautiful way. Correct. First of all, I would like to thank my pastors that they have been with us during this process before you know and doing all this process and it has been great encouragement and comfort to have them with us their love and now we're going to sing our last song and we will be doing it with all our hearts. Amazing grace. Thank you. Sublime gracia, inmenso amor. Su libre gracia, inmenso amor. Right now we go on to have some lunch and fellowship and we really, really appreciate all of you that we're able to come today with all our hearts. Amen.
