Greetings Classic Cinema and TV Fans, this is Pastor Jay here with you, bringing you another Flashback Friday. We're talking today, Hank. I know, what? What? Hank? Who is Hank? What is Hank? Well, we're going to tell you today. This is an interesting, very short-lived TV series about a young guy named Hank. Hank is a young man that is running a food truck and trying to take care of his little sister after their parents had passed away in a car crash. Now, this seems like a very, very tragic type of thing for a sitcom, but it is very funny. They don't dwell on the tragedy as much, which is nice. But the interesting thing about Hank is Hank has a desire to learn. He wants to be a college student, but he just doesn't have the money to do it. So what's a guy to do? What a guy to do that wants an education and hungers for that knowledge but can go to college because he just doesn have the money Well what can he do Well he waits finds out when someone sick or not going to be taking a class and he dresses up as them and monitors the class and takes over their place and learns from some of the best teachers. Now, this is not the best in the world because the dean of the college doesn't like that at all. when he finds that people are monitoring the classes without being a student there, he's got to crack down. He's got to find these guys and, you know, get them out. Well, the interesting thing is Hank, his girlfriend, is the daughter of the dean of the college. All of this all connects. This is a really fun little series to watch Hank get into those scrapes trying to get into college and get out of college before he gets caught. It is so, so much fun. There is so many interesting storylines in this series. It is just really, really a cool release. Sadly, Hank did not last as long as it should have, in my opinion. This could have went for a couple years. It only lasted one, 26 episodes. But it was very, very fun. This series really could have drawn out for a couple seasons in my opinion It was that good There just so many different storylines so many different characters Hank is just an amazing human being that can just do all kinds of stuff. And he's just amazing. Just amazing. To be able to juggle running a business, taking care of your young sister, taking care of a house and going to college illegally but going to college and taking classes and all that type of stuff and balancing a girlfriend and everything, I mean wow just so much but it was a great, great series and really is something to look into Hank is a 60s sitcom and it really is something special So Warner Archive has made this available, made on demand, so that people can own this very, very easily. It is three discs, a three-disc set, and just very, very cool. If you love those 60 sitcoms, I'm telling you, you've got to check out Hank. It is very, very cool. It's worthwhile. It a sweet sitcom it funny it got a lot of chasing because Hank trying to get away from everybody And so there just a lot of fun in this series It is so much fun. It is so worthwhile checking out.
