One day at a time I don't think you want me to well he couldn't be nothing in it it was worthwhile because let's face it people that you don't want it you don't want it just hang in there people that bring a brown paper bag to church the only thing they would probably bring in it is their lunch and why would somebody want to bring their lunch I don't preach that long shoot What do they think? I want to preach until 3 o'clock in the afternoon? Gee whiz. It's not lunch. Well, apparently it is. She wants it. No. What? Miss Jones, thank you so much. You found my bag. Ouch! Hey! Okay, I'm sorry. It told me you were up there preaching. You weren't sitting at the seat. Well, that's true. Well, it was Jasmine's. That's what it was. It was Jasmine's. No, she's like you. She's just trying to get something that don't belong to her. I'm okay. Well, is there any identification in the bag? There's nothing. Just the money. Well, then I see one option then. If there's no identification in the bag and there's no way for us to know the owner, than you know the old adage? Finders keepers, losers weepers. What are we doing? Going back to our childhood or something? I mean, come on. How much is in there? $4,539. I counted it. Well, for $4,500 I'll wear a diaper and be a baby. Give me the money. You want to go with a shopping spree? You do know We can't keep that. Who says if there's no identification in the bag, how are we going to find the owner? There's no way to find out who this is. So me and Jasmine, we found a windfall. Look at there. No, we've got to turn it over to the police. And how do we know the police won't split it between them? That's okay. We've done what we're supposed to do. We've got to turn it over to the police. I mean, after all. It's a lot of money. It's a lot of money. It's right. I can do a lot of good with that money. Think about it. Well, if nothing else, the church could do a lot of good with that money. Why give it to the police? We could do a lot of good with that money Think about all the people we could help with the food bank with all the different things that we do in our church We can do a lot of good with that money More than what anybody else I mean and let face it you sit there and you want to give it over to the police and who knows what the police might do with it. It's like I said, and how do we know somebody might not go in there and say, hey, it's mine, and they give it to them, and it's not theirs. They have to identify the bag. They've got to identify how much money is in it. and the Bible also says that we are to obey the law and the law says that if you find something you are to turn it over to the authorities. If nobody claims it, then it's ours. You gotta go that route, don't you? I gotta do what the Bible says and you know what? I guess you can pray that nobody claims it. Gaz, you can't have it any more than me. She won't let us. Well, I just think we ought to do what's right. She wants it. She thinks she's right. She don't know how to spend it anyway. I can help her. I can help her. Can you rest at night knowing that you did not obey the law? Well, now you hurt her feelings. Well, I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is. Feelings gets hurt, but hey, you've got to go according to the law. The Bible says obey the law. Oh! Oh! Somebody's at the door! Somebody's at the door! Somebody's at the door! Somebody's coming! Somebody's coming! Hide the bag! Hide the bag! Hold on! Uh, okay. What do we do? What do we do? What do we do? Settle down and ask them to come in. They may not be looking for the bag. Act natural. That's not natural. Crazy. Just be yourself. Act what you do when you're up at the pulpit. No, that's not it. Okay, just... Just relax. Okay. Enter. That wasn't it. Come in, my help. Oh, yeah. Come in. Homeless Hank! What? Homeless Hank, what are you doing here? What the hell, sir? I mean... I mean... I mean, homeless Hank, what are you doing here? I'm here in case somebody found my popperty. Popperty? I mean, what property? It brown paper bag Have we seen a brown paper bag What Uh What What What Can you describe the brown paper bag Well, let me see. It's brown... It's paper... And it's a bag. That's it. Shhhhhh! You take food from the church that's supposed to be for people that are really poor and have no money. You come in here all the time. You eat off of the church and you beg for stuff. You leave. You don't even donate no money to the church. You don't do anything and yet God keeps blessing you. don't you think that it would be nice if you would just donate a little money to the church give the church some money I mean after all they do take care of you and give you your food and everything I mean can't you do something for the church well I get you right Here. Here. Take that. Well, Hank, I thank you. I really thank you. Have a nice day. Have a blessed day, homeless Hank. Thank you. What do you give the church for a donation? I hope it's something good. He gave us out of That between him and God Well I just want to do the Lord work God said he can do his own work. He said he don't need no help. $2 out of $4. I think he could have gave more. Wow. Hey, I guess $2 is better than nothing. Not a whole lot! Well, God can just take and bless it and use it. Two dollars? Hey, you never know today what two dollars could do. Wait a minute. You know that? One week, I was sick and I didn't come to get my food allotment. Have a nice day. this is waving goodbye to the one he took he donated one dollar to the church and you were complaining about two now we only have one the Lord gives and the Lord takes away Blessed are those who give Put it in the bank I don't know Well, we'll just put this lonely little dollar In with the offerings And it won't be so lonely It won't look like we're taking one dollar I'm depressed I'm depressed Hey, one better than nothing.
