Transcript: Bible Study Lessons Inspired by Classic Cop Shows like Hunter

Greetings Classic Cinema and TV fans, this is Pastor Jay here with you on another Flashback Friday. Today we're talking another one of these cop shows, these detective type shows, and we're talking Hunter. I like this show Hunter. Hunter is basically about a Los Angeles Police Department, two cops from the Los Angeles Police Department that solve crimes, go out on patrol and get into a lot of scrapes, especially Hunter himself, Rick Hunter. Rick Hunter is played by Fred Dreyer, and Fred Dreyer was a former football player that transitioned into playing a cop here on Hunter. And his partner is DeeDee McCall. And just a great, great show. DeeDee McCall is played by Stephanie Kramer. And this is a really fun show. There's a lot of tension between these two, man. I mean, Dee Dee is more of a straight-laced cop where Hunter's more rogue, man. He wants to do what he wants to do. And the interesting thing with Hunter is that every time he turns around he wrecking his car I mean it just it seems like every episode he wrecking the car that they give him And they get to a point where they finally don't give him a good looking car, they give him a junker looking car because they figure, hey, if he crashes it, it ain't that big of a loss. It's just a really, really fun, fun series. And I really enjoy this series. We've got, of course, here Hunter Season 1. and we've got Hunter Season 2. Now, this show went for seven seasons. Seven seasons. We have not got all seven, of course. And the reason for that is because they're so expensive. They have one out of print now. And you cannot get these because they're out of print. We was doing a check the other day on Hunter and I think it's season three or four of Hunter on Amazon is going for $500. Okay, I ain't doing that. I'm just not doing that. I refuse to do that. That's not going to happen. Maybe someday they'll re-release these and we can enjoy the whole series. But we do have something very, very interesting that we want to share with you. In this day and age in which we living it all about streaming People love to stream their content instead of having DVDs and Blu Well we got something really interesting As of right now as we recording this and this could change down the line so you need to jump in on it and start watching them while you can. Right now on Roku channel, on the Roku devices, if you get a Roku, you can stream content for free. and on Roku Channel, you just download the app on your Roku device. Right now, on Roku Channel, all seven seasons of Hunter are available for free. You can watch them. They do have ads, of course, but they're very, very small ads. They're about, there's like four 30-second ads, and they don't go like every five minutes. They spread them out really good, so you're not watching ads all the way through. So it is really a good thing. So if you're interested in this show, Hunter, download the Roku app on your Roku device and check it out. They have not only this, they have many great TV shows, sitcoms, dramas, science fiction, movies, all kinds of stuff, 100% free at the Roku channel.
