Greetings Classic Cinema TV and Movie Fans, this is Pastor Jay here with you on another Flashback Friday. And today we are talking about this series that we just recently got into. This one is The Streets of San Francisco. Really a very fun little detective show. The Streets of San Francisco takes place in, of course, San Francisco. Back in this time when this was being produced, wow, San Francisco was a beautiful place. It really, really was. I have to tell you, it was a place to be back in the 70s, boy, I tell you. It was beautiful. But here is a really interesting show. So it all takes place as it's like a, I hate to say buddy cop, but because these two are not buddies. Absolutely not. I think they become buddies after a while, but Carl Mulden plays that grizzled old veteran cop, and Michael Douglas plays the new eager rookie cop and they put together and they there to solve crimes and find out what right and what wrong and get down to the bottom of it And wow, what a series it really is. This is a great one. The action is really awesome. The acting, Carl Malden and Michael Douglas, you can guess, this is going to be good. both amazing actors. This is Michael Douglas, as you can see, very, very young. This is at the beginning of his career, and wow, you can see that. I mean, he is so young at this time, and like I said, now he's a veteran actor, kind of up in age. I mean, not old, but getting up there, and this was at the beginning of his career, and wow, you could see in this series that he was going to be something special. And boy, was he. And of course, Carl Malden, what an amazing actor Carl Malden was. Just amazing. And these two have such a great chemistry together. It is spectacular. This series is so spectacular. I just, I can't put it into words. The very first episode we watched, I was enthralled with the action, with the chase scenes, with everything It just a great great series This is I love what it says here on the back package It pretty cool In this city justice is golden I love that That is really really cool This box set here is a really huge one. This is a huge box set, as you can see. This is the first three seasons of the streets of San Francisco. Now, with this, the series, all the DVDs come like this. Now, a lot of people would sit there and say, hey, wait a minute, the DVDs fell out. No, they're made that way so that they can come out and not, more or less so they don't break in this big of a package. And then on the inside, you get Michael Douglas and you get Carl Malden, and then you get all the listing of all the episodes here. So really a cool little set, and all the DVDs fit right in there. Really, really awesome. I was amazed when we found this one. We found this set at our big lots for only $15, which is amazing. when you think you're getting three seasons. So basically three seasons for each Unbelievable I have to tell you this is a great show So if you never seen Streets of San Francisco I highly highly suggest checking this one out If you're a fan of cop shows, this one really is a great one. It still holds up, even though it is a little dated because you're seeing the older San Francisco. It can be a little dated, but it's still an amazing, amazing series.
