Transcript: Christian Faith and Sci-Fi: Pastor J's Favorite Space Precinct 2040 Moments

Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans. This is Pastor Jay here with you, once again, bringing you another Flashback Friday. Today we're talking a sci-fi series, I should say, that's really off the radar. A lot of people don't talk about this show, and it's a shame because It's a good one. We picked this thing up a few years ago and watched it. And it is really a great series. For some reason, it doesn't get talked about a lot. And that is Space Precinct. This is a Gary Anderson release production. And wow, it is a really interesting little show. This is the complete series set. And it has all of the episodes in it. It is really, really awesome. Space Precinct takes place in space, of course. It's all about a veteran police detective from the mean streets of New York who is transferred from New York to space to be part of the Space Precinct. This is, of course, set in the future. And it is in this he brought to the space precinct and he teamed up with a rookie detective a cop as the two of them try to navigate this new world, this world out there somewhere, and they have to deal with all kinds of outlaw aliens and all kinds of crazy things going on, And the veteran cop also has to kind of navigate life with his family as well. Kind of do that balancing act. And, man, what a great series this really was. The special effects are pretty amazing. And the makeup of all the aliens are out of this world. It is really special. It's really spectacular. I really enjoyed this series. I've got to be honest with you, it is one amazing set. The set itself is like this, of course, not the most spectacular way to have a set. These kind of cases where you have your discs like this are not the best in the world, but it's better than nothing, I suppose. something that is kind of cool with this set I will say is the artwork on the inside is pretty cool I like that now I got a really good deal with this I think a couple years ago I paid about I think somewhere around in there it was kind of cheap It might have even been now that I think about it I think it might have been $5. But anyway, it was really cheap for the entire series. But anyway, this right now on Amazon is going for $53, almost $54, not including shipping and handling. Unbelievable. It's crazy. it's nuts this is the problem with shows that go out of print, DVDs and stuff that go out of print, once they go out of print prices go crazy and thankfully we got this for really really cheap at FYE so I'm thankful for that and right now I don't know that this I have not seen this streaming anywhere people like to stream their shows in this day and age this actually is not being streamed anywhere unless you want to buy it streaming wise Amazon has it for like I think they're like $1.99 per episode that's really crazy to me but anyway this is a very very good set though and I have to recommend this to anybody that loves science fiction TV from back in the day This is a really, really awesome set. And wow great stories great makeup great special effects everything It just spectacular I put it right up there with all the great sci shows It is that awesome It really deserves to be looked at and checked out. If you've never seen A Space Precinct, definitely, if you can find it, pick it up, check it out. It is really, really a good series. I really enjoyed it. What do you think of A Space Precinct?
