Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans. This is Pastor Jay here with you once again, bringing you another flashback on Flashback Fridays. Yes. And today we're talking about a probably mostly forgotten TV series. We're talking about Legend. This was a very interesting little series from back in the day, and it stars Richard Dean Anderson. Yes, the man known as the original, not the new one, the original MacGyver. Really, this is a very interesting little series. Legend is kind of like Wild Wild West. It's all about Richard Dean Anderson playing a man named Ernest Pratt, who's a novelist, but he actually is an inventor as well. He invents all kinds of amazing devices and weapons and cars and vehicles and all kinds of different stuff and he uses them to kind of help fight bad guys and bring you know sort of try to bring peace to the Old West It was really a good series. Sadly, it didn't last very long. It only lasted 12 episodes, and that is really sad because it really, it really was kind of a cute little series. It was kind of fun, and I don't know why it only lasted 12 episodes. I guess people just didn't get it. I don't know, but I actually thought it was very, very well done. And, of course, like anything, Richard Dean Anderson is great in anything he does, and he really brings the acting chops to this role and really puts a lot into it, and it is so awesome. And interestingly enough, the man that many people know as Q from Star Trek The Next Generation is in this, as you can see. Maybe you can see that. But this is really a good series. It really is. Legend. Two-disc set. Disc one. Disc two. six episodes on each desk, of course, because there's only 12, which gives it plenty of room to breathe Each episode plenty of room to breathe and very very cool episodes I don know what to say other than then this one just doesn get the the the uh appropriate love that it should Um, if you're looking for one of those, um, shows that are so obscure and you, and you just never heard of before, uh, check out legend. It is, it's a lot of fun. Uh, it's, it's, um, there is some things maybe that's not for the entire family. So you may want to use some parental discretion just to be on the safe side a little bit. Because there is some things that may be a little off with the kiddies. So you may want to check this out before you decide to let the whole family watch it. But it is a lot of fun. It's a lot of fun. It's a lot of awesomeness. And it's just sci-fi Old West. and I'll tell you, there's just something about sci-fi Old West that just excites me, I love sci-fi, I love it when sci-fi and the Old West kind of combine and we get that and that's what we get with Legend it's an amazing series and Mill Creek Entertainment released this one and it is done so very well like all that they do and if you've never seen Legend, I definitely suggest checking out Legend go to amazon check it out You can pick up a copy there It is a good one So definitely if you looking for something to flashback with flashback to the Old West with a little sci in it for legend It is a good one.
