Transcript: Believe in God's Answered Prayers | Pastor Chas Stevenson

You find an answer for your prayer, you say yes to it, and you stand firm, and you don't let any wave move you. Oh, no, no, no, I am firm on this. How can you be so firm? You've got all this stuff. No, I am firm. I have found the answer. And it makes you look weird, and it makes you sound weird, and it makes you stand weird, but you're standing on God's Word. When you say amen, you better stand on God's Word and believe it. remember when Peter got put in jail by King Herod and the whole church was in prayer constant prayer for him and then the angel shows up at the jail lets Peter out unshackles him gets out of there Peter goes to the house where they were all praying knocks on the door Rhoda runs over there she runs over there hears Peter's voice and gets thrilled she was so thrilled she forgot to open the door She runs back to the group and says, he's here, Peter's here, Peter's here. And the group, remember what the group said? The group said no it his angel The group was so double they had more faith that his angel would show up and knock at the door than their prayer got answered. So we don't know exactly who had faith in that group. It was probably just Rhoda. A whole church praying, and they didn't even believe it was going to work. Rhoda said amen, even though she forgot to open the door. She believed it was Peter. That's how some of you are. You can't even believe when the answer comes. What's supposed to happen is you're supposed to believe so strongly when you pray that it's a done deal. Amen. My God said, I believe it, I got it. I'm going to go ahead and make my plans that when the answer does come, you're not even rejoicing. When the answer does come, you're supposed to say, alright, praise the Lord, that's wonderful. When the answer does come you supposed to say thank you I knew it was coming You did all your rejoicing ahead of time You were already convinced and happy about it for whether it was nine months conception I just lost half the crowd again. Nine months. I'm believing for a miracle right now. Well, okay, but go ahead and receive it now, but nine months it might take to incubate. Nine months of you Proving to yourself That you're not wavering Not really God Holding back to see anything It's just you trying to work out Your little Consciousness Work out your soul Work out this stuff inside you Hang in there You fight self Self you shut up You're all in faith one day You wake up the next day And self is like Wow wow wow wow. If that voice shows up in your room the next day after prayer. You tell it to shut up. Shut up. No I've already said amen to this thing. And so I going to go make breakfast and go about my day Because I already decided the promise is yes for me This is how you live You know we read these scriptures about he coming back and you got to do some things be diligent in your lifestyle And some of you are like, oh my gosh, yeah, they've been saying that for 20 years and I still can't do it. Stop that. This is one of those promises. You're supposed to say, yep, that's it. This week is going to look better on paper. this week I'm making a change you're not going to become a priest or a nun in one week just make an adjustment make some adjustment for your life some little thing some commitment put something on your calendar and then click the repeat every week change one day of the week something
