Transcript: Experience Holy Spirit Baptism for Empowered Living

Why do we need the Holy Spirit one? So that you can move on from sight walking into faith living. Listen, without the Holy Spirit baptism, with fire and boldness and courage, you will be a quite carnal Christian. It will be hard to trust God. It will be difficult to understand things well. It just won't have the electrical connection on the inside of you. where your heart says, I can do all things through Christ. I mean, any Christian can read it and say, yep, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. But when you're filled with the Holy Spirit, it's different. You really mean it. Oh, I can do all things. It's just something just a little different. It's spiritual, but it's real. So we want to move on into understanding the Word of God better and living it better. The Holy Spirit is here to help you live it better. Hallelujah. God wants everybody in on His plan. Okay? It's not just for the preacher. It's not just for the special people. It's for every people. We're all special. You know, they used to call them clergy and laymen. Right? Well, whatever. The deal is, though, that God wants to fill every layman. I mean, I'm a layman, too. We're all in the same boat, and he wants to fill everybody. He uses everybody for big stuff. You don have to have a famous ministry name and a website to be doing something for God I mean listen this whole Well two of the New Testament written by Paul happened because this fellow named Ananias heard from God God chose Ananias just a believer, a disciple, to go meet Paul in a certain city at the street called Straight and lay his hands on Paul so he could get his eyesight back, get filled with the Holy Spirit, so that Paul could begin his ministry. If it wasn't for that layman, which we don't like that term, if it wasn't for that disciple, we wouldn't have the Bible. We wouldn't have the New Testament. God chose Cornelius to help the first Gentiles get filled with the Holy Spirit. He had to hear from God. He had to go meet Peter. So never discredit something God may be telling you to do. You have no idea of the ramifications of what you might be doing. That's not the motive of it. The motive of it is just to obey God. Isn't that exciting? Obeying the Lord is how you're supposed to live. Following the Holy Spirit. And when you get filled with the Holy Spirit, you'll be able to follow Him better. You'll hear His voice. You'll be more sensitive to Him. Praying in tongues keeps you sensitive to the Holy Spirit. And if you'll do this, you'll start having a life with the Holy Spirit, which that is really what it's all about. That is your connection. Your intimate connection with God is through the Holy Spirit. It is supposed to be communion with the Holy Spirit. He's the one that wants to nudge you to take a left or a right in life. So you've got to get familiar with the Holy Spirit.
