Greetings, Classic Cinema and TV fans. This is Pastor Jay here with you once again. And this time around we're talking about the new releases from Kino Lorber for the month of June 2021. Yeah, it's coming upon us fast. And some really, really cool releases. We got four of the brand new releases, so many of them, but these are four of the new releases, and we're going to talk about them, give you a little sneak peek. I'm not going to spend a whole long time on this, because we've got a lot of stuff to do, but we did want to do a quick little video and let you see what's coming up. First off, we have a very interesting film. It's the film debut of comedic legend Benny Hill. This one is Whodunit. Benny Hill is, of course, known for his somewhat, can be somewhat off-color humor at times, but this is his very first film. This is Whodunit. Now, Whodunit basically stars Benny Hill as an ice rink sweeper who dreams of being a private eye. And so he has this fantasy dream that comes true when he managed to capture a ring of spies. It's a lot of fun. It's a very, very interesting film. and I'm gonna tell you something this is very very cool because it's a 4k restoration of this film so that is very awesome and also on this release there is some really cool bonus features in the back as you can see on the there there a lot of cool stuff There an audio commentary there trailers and the really cool thing is there is the 1969 short film written and starring Benny Hill that is entitled The Waiters So very, very cool release. Looking forward to reviewing that. That's going to be awesome. Also, for the month of June 2021 is The Railway Children. A really cool film. It's a fantasy drama for the family. And it is starring a bunch of really cool people. We're not going to go through all that. But this film actually was nominated through three British Academy Awards. It's that amazing. And basically what The Railway Children is, is it's about three children who are forced to move to the rural Yorkshire after their father is falsely imprisoned. So very, very cool film. Lionel Jeffries is in that. That is awesome. And, yeah, so that's pretty cool. Audio commentary, theatrical trailer, all on that release as well. Very, very cool. All right. The next one on the list here is Take This Job and Shove It. All right. This one is a pretty cool film as well. This one stars Barbara Hershey and Robert Hayes. and basically this film is about a junior executive who is uh ordered to boost output in the hometown brewery uh where his friends work and thus he has to you know make the decision whether he wants friends or whether he wants to make money so uh that pretty cool all right and then finally on uh the new releases for the month of june 2021 this one i was so excited about when i saw that kina lorber was uh gonna release this one i was ecstatic uh i have I saw this so many years ago on TV, and I've wanted to see it again, but I could never find it. And this one is called Body Slam. As a pretty avid wrestling fan, this is awesome. I love the old wrestling, and man, I grew up on wrestling. my dad was a huge wrestling fan and he brought me up in that and I lived through the Monday Night Wars and all that type of stuff as a young kid living through the Monday Night Wars and all and between WWE and WCW it was just it became inbred in you to watch it and I have loved wrestling my whole life and so, and I love these wrestling movies, they're just so cool and so this one, oh man Dirk Benedict is in this Tanya Roberts is in this, and then the cool thing about this is we get Tonga Kid some of you may not know these names, but anyway you get, these are wrestlers, you get Tonga Kid, Roddy Piper, and Captain Lou Albano, it's all in this film it is so, so cool Basically what this film is is this film stars Dirk Benedict and he is a music producer and also a manager of a wrestler who is played by Roddy Piper and he wants to put on a rock group and wrestling card to start a fad So that's pretty cool, the rock and wrestling connection. That was what that was. So pretty awesome stuff. I love it. Yeah, Keena Lorber has really done some great things this month, and like I said, they have released so many great things. They've released a whole slew of Maywest DVDs or Blu-rays as well. So if you're a fan of Maywest, you're going to want to go check out KinoLorber.com and check out all those Maywest Blu-rays as well.
