And we're giving you kind of a first look at these July releases and, yeah, really some cool stuff. So we're going to jump right into it today. And we're going to start off with a made-for-TV movie that I never got a chance to check out. Oh, that's bad. This is a long time ago. Yeah, so anyway, but this is Lindsay Wagner, Mark Singer, and Linda Gray. And this is The Two Worlds of Jeannie Logan. I love that cover art. Wow. If you're listening to the audio, of course you can't see the cover art. but you know definitely go to klstudioclassics.com and check out the cover art it is really amazing but if you know me you know I like science fiction I like those films that are science fiction-y they have some science fiction feel to it and that's kind of what this is it's kind of a science fiction romance kind of thingamajig you know I guess I don't know why I said thingamajig but anyway film Okay but anyway Jeannie Logan is played by Lindsay Wagner of course who is probably best known for her roles as the Bionic Woman in the TV series The Bionic Woman and Six Million Dollar Man Really, really cool. Of course, Mark Singer, we know Mark Singer from The Beastmaster, who didn't love The Beastmaster. I grew up on reruns of the Beastmaster watching that on TV and seeing the Beastmaster and those crazy characters with the hockey mask looking thing and all the spikes and all that type of... Oh man, frightening as a kid but really, really cool Of course, he's known for the miniseries V as well which was released on Blu-ray as well, and the V Final Battle. Pretty cool. But basically what this is, it's a film about a woman that finds a, I don't want to spoil it, so I'm going to try to do this non-spoiler. She finds something, I'm going to go that way, She finds something that transports her back in time, and she finds herself falling in love with a person in the past, as well as being in love with someone in the future, or the present, as the case may be. And so it's like a love triangle that spans time. It sounds amazing. Now, I have to be honest, I've never seen it. So this is going to be my first time ever watching it, and I'm really excited about it because I've never seen it, and I love Mark Singer, and I love Lindsay Wagner, and of course I love Linda Gray as well. All great actors, or actresses as the case may be. And yeah, so I'm looking forward to checking this out. This is going to be something special. So if you love this film or if you've never seen it but you love those science fiction-y type films, yeah, you may want to check this one out. Coming in July from Keanu Lorber Studio Classics. Very, very cool film. The Two Worlds of Jeannie Logan. Okay, the next one that Keanu Lorber has released is James Stewart. Oh my goodness. I love me some James Stewart. I have been a fan of James Stewart my whole life. James Stewart is just an amazing character. A character actor, I should say. Just amazing. He plays some of the greatest films in film history. And this is one, a western entitled Shenandoah. Now, I think what makes me so excited about James Stewart is this man can play anything and make it believable. I mean, James Stewart played in Hitchcock films. He played in biographies. He played in comedies. He played in dramas. He played in westerns. And you believed him in every single thing he did. I mean, he was just amazing. You don't get angry about it. You're kind of tough out there. This guy's trying to hypnotize me. He just had a very special way about him. I mean, you go and you look at people like John Wayne. John Wayne played Westerns, and he tried other things, but he became the Westerns guy. You know, that's what he was. and there are many that got pigeonholed I guess is the word into that type of thing like a certain genre James Stewart was never that he could do anything he wanted and people believed it and he did it so well And this is a really awesome film Basically this is a film that is, Stewart plays Charlie Anderson, a man that is not wanting to take sides in either way. He won't support the Confederacy because he's opposed to slavery. He won't support the Union because he opposes war. So he's got his own little thing, and he's not taking sides. And that's not good. And it's all about him being in the midst of all this. And wow, what an amazing film. I remember watching this one time, one time, and I've never seen it since this, that one time it was on TV when I was a kid, and so I'm excited to see what Keen Allura has come up with, with this one, and how good it looks on Blu-ray. I'm so looking forward to it, yeah. If you're a fan of Westerns, and you're a fan of James Stewart, you're definitely going to want to check out Shenandoah. I'm so excited about this. It's going to be awesome. All right, Keanu Lorber Studio Classics have been releasing tons of Bob Hope films. And we got yet another one. Yes, I love it. And this one is another Western comedy. This one is alias Jesse James. Oh, my goodness, I am so excited about this. This one, I love Bob Hope. Bob Hope is probably one of my favorite comedians. That's hard to say. I probably could make cases for other ones as well because I love all the different comedians, but Bob Hope is up there. He's definitely up there as one of my favorites. Hurry, George. This kid's a juvenile delinquency. And I love Bob Hope in the westerns. Bob Hope played in Pale Face and Son of Pale Face and some many different kind of westerny comedies. And this is another one. Alias Jesse James. And this is so awesome. Rhonda Fleming, Bob Hope. Basically this film is Bob Hope plays an insurance salesman who sells an insurance policy to Jesse James. and it's for a huge amount that if he gets killed, then the insurance company is going to have to pay out a lot of money. And so he has to try to find a way to keep Jesse alive and thus becomes alias Jesse James, dressing up like Jesse and trying to keep him alive. It is hilarious. And I have to say the end of this film is something that has to be seen to be believed. I don't want to go into great detail on what it is, but I'll just put it this way. Some of the legendary Western stars show up, and I won't go any deeper than that, but all of the different Western stars show up and do something interesting at the end of the film, and it is just hilarious. It is just hilarious. I absolutely love this film, and I am so excited that it is now on Blu-ray from Kino Lorber Studio Classics. Boy, if ever there was something that I wanted to see on Blu-ray, it's this one, and I'm so glad Kino Lorber is the one doing it. It is so awesome. Love it, and can't wait to dive in and review this one. Alright and the final one that we have here in studio to review stars some of my favorites I love it Edmund O William Bendix I love William Bendix. Life of Riley, for those that like classic TV. And one of my favorites, Vincent Price. And this is The Web. Oh, yes, please. Vincent Price stuff. Yes, please. all the time, every month. Vincent Price stuff, yes, please. I like it. I like it. And just for a quick little note, Vincent Price stuff is coming next month, the month of August as well, so I'll be looking for that. But anyway, that's for next month. But The Web is a 1947 film, and it stars Edmund O'Brien and William Bendix and Vincent Price. And it's all about a lawyer and a detective who kind of trap a financier who made the lawyer kind of a fall guy for murder. So it's kind of one of those old film noirs and really, really cool. And I'm looking forward to checking this one out. I actually have to be honest with you. I have not seen this one. I've seen a lot of William Bendix. I've seen a lot of Edmund O'Brien, and I've seen a whole lot of Vincent Price, but somehow this one flew under my radar. I never saw it before, so I am so excited to get to see this finally, and on Blu-ray, no doubt. Oh my goodness, yes, this is going to be so awesome. I can't wait to check it out. Yeah, so if you love Vincent Price, Edmund O'Brien, film noirs, you know, that type of stuff, you're going to want to check out the web. I know this is going to be awesome.
