Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans, as well as comic book fans. Yes, a brand new feature here on Classic Cinema Plus. This is the Comic Book Roundup. Yes, we are bringing you some amazing comic books, newer ones. We'll even jump back and go back in time and pick up some of the great comics from back in the day as well as we take this journey together in graphic novels and comic books. Yeah, I'm a huge fan of movies and TV, as you know. That's why we do what we do at Classic Cinema Plus. But I love comic books, too. There's something special about the comics that really transport you into a different world, just like the movies do and just like the TV shows do. They transport you into a different world, and they also help expand your mind because you're reading as well, which is awesome. So this is a really, really fun thing to talk about is comic books, right? Well, one of my ones that I'm really enjoying here lately is the Kingstone Comics. Kingstone Comics is a comic book company, a Christian comic book company, and they're bringing the epic stories of the Bible into the comics. And wow, have they been doing some amazing stuff. We've been reviewing some of those on the official website, Classic Cinema Plus. You can go to the archives and see some of those. But one of my favorites is Ben Avery, right? And Ben Avery did this one, which I absolutely love. This is Job, the story of Job in comic book form. And wow this is probably one of the most amazing stories that is in the Bible and brought to life in comic book form Wow just the artwork of this is absolutely stellar I mean, look at that artwork. That is absolutely amazing. Wow, that is great stuff. Well, see, Ben Avery has been working with Kingstone Comics for quite a while now, and he's produced two awesome things. And it is brand new, and they're all here, and you can check them out on Amazon. And this is the Kingstone Hero Devotionals. This is Volume 1 and Volume 2. and wow these are absolutely amazing now uh i have to say we're going to do full written reviews at classic cinema plus so you'll need to keep your eyes open there uh we'll be putting those up very very soon but right now we're just doing a kind of a little spotlight on it because we've been kind of uh starting out in these and we've been reading a little bit as we've been going along and kind of checking them out but before we do a full written review we want to go through these and we want to examine them and we want to read them all. And so that's why we take our time with this. So, uh, so we're in volume one right now. Okay. And, uh, getting through some of volume one and, and, uh, they start off with the life of Jesus in this one, which is really, really cool. And what better way to start off in your hero devotionals than with the greatest hero of all time, and that is Jesus. Wow. And it's all about growing up. These are for younger people. These are for younger adults or younger kids, if you will, and teenagers. But the interesting thing is I'm not a teenager, but I'm enjoying these. Yeah, they're geared toward the children and the teens, But this is good for adults, too. I mean, wow. Good, good stuff. I love the fact that you get the amazing story of Jesus I just want to show you some of the artwork that is look at that That is just gorgeous artwork isn it Amazing And you know we get some amazing stories in here and all about how we can be like these heroes in the Bible. Volume 1 has Jesus, Noah, Jonah, Elijah, Esther, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, my three favorite guys. This is part one, two, and three. They got Mary and Joseph, Anna the prophetess. They have Jesus, another one, the big battle. Four friends through the roof. You may know that story. That's pretty cool. Simon, Peter. And then the interesting thing with this is at the very end, you get, for the kids, you get memory cards. Bible memory verse cards. Very, very awesome. Very cool stuff. This is awesome. I love that. Now for volume two, we're going to share with you what is in volume two as well. Volume two starts off with the wise men following the star. Very cool. Another one of Jesus, the young Jesus, and the temple. Very cool. Miriam, Moses, Joshua, Samson. Oh, amazing character, Samson. David, Jonathan, John the Baptist, Daniel. Two parts. Oh, actually, three parts. Pardon me. And another Jesus devotional, the last sacrifice, all about forgiven. And then again, more of the Bible memory cards. Very awesome stuff. What I've read so far, I have thoroughly enjoyed. This is spectacular stuff. So what we're getting down to is if you're looking for something to get your kids to interact with the Bible, man, this is a great way to do it. But you want your kids to read the Bible and you want them to find a love for the heroes of the Bible and these characters of the Bible? There no better way than to do it with the Kingstone Comics Heroes devotionals Wow They filled with great material but they not so long that you get bored with it Before you realize it, you're done with that devotional and you almost want to jump in right to the next one. I'm trying not to do that. I'm trying to take my time a little bit with it, but it is great stuff. It is great stuff.
