Transcript: Christian Film Reviews: Pufnstuf Blu-ray Release

Greetings Classic Cinema TV fans, this is Jason Locker, Pastor Jay here with you once again bringing you another Silver Screen Spotlight. And yes, today we are spotlighting an amazing Sid and Marty Croft release from the good folks at Kino Lorber. We're going to talk about that in just a second, but let's look at Sid and Marty Croft first. Sid and Marty Croft were amazing producers of great TV. And one of my favorites, of course, was this, The Land of the Lost. We have spotlighted A Land of the Lost, this whole series, in a previous video. You can check that out here on this channel. But anyway, Sid and Marty Croft, Land of the Lost, this is my favorite. All about a family. Rick, Holly, and Will Marshall, who are on a little camping trip type thing, and they find themselves transported into the land of the lost, and they have to deal with all the slea stacks and all the dinosaurs and all the stuff like that. It's just a stellar film or series. I love it. Now, maybe some of you only remember watching the debacle of the Will Ferrell film that is this. And that film, while it has some charm and some interesting feel to it, it's nothing like this. This is so much better. Love this series. But, yeah, that's from the creators of Sid and Marty Croft. These creators of Land of the Lost comes a brand new release and it from the good folks at Kino Lorber and the folks at Code Red Now, they've joined forces to bring us another Sid and Marty Kroff one. Sid and Marty Kroff did another series called H.R. Puffin Stuff, and it was a very interesting series. but in the time when that was going on, they decided to do a film release as well, and that's where Puffin' Stuff comes in. You've got to be kidding me. Puffin' Stuff got a Blu-ray release. Yes. Puffin' Stuff got a Blu-ray release, people. This is so unbelievable. The Puffin' Stuff movie got a Blu-ray release. You what? What? What? Yes, this is unbelievable. Can you see the kid in me is excited here? A little bit. I mean, this is unbelievable. Basically, it takes place about a, it's in a magical world where a young guy has a magical flute. And after a bad day at school, he comes and he's standing there and he's just playing his magical flute. But all of a sudden, that magical flute comes to life. and when it comes to life, he soon realizes something isn't quite right and it's because Witchy Poo a witch has decided to capture Magical Flute and then things go crazy from there crazy stuff, just awesome stuff though Jack Wilde Billy Hayes Martha Ray and Mama Cass is in this film Unbelievable stuff Now Jack Wilde many people will probably know as being the artful Dodger in the amazing musical Oliver Twist. But wow, this is a great, great film. Love this film. I love what it says here. A Wizard of Oz-like fantasy. And I have to say, it kind of does have a Wizard of Oz-like feel to it. By no means is it Wizard of Oz. It's not. But it's more musical. While the Wizard of Oz had some musical stuff in it, this one has a little bit more musical stuff in it. But it takes you and transports you into a different world. It is so, so cool. I have to say, this is one amazing release. You can see the back there with all those amazing stuff in the back. That's just beautiful. This release looks spectacular. I don't know what to say other than I am just excited that we finally get H.R. Puffin stuff, the movie, which is just Puffin stuff, of course. But we get the movie of the TV series now on Blu-ray. You've got to be kidding me. This is just special. It's just great. We get the amazing almost three-minute theatrical trailer in this film, this Blu-ray. So cool. Just awesome stuff. Presented in widescreen format. Thumbs up. 1080p. You got English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing, which is pretty cool. Yeah, a 70s classic. Oh I love it so much So yeah we do highly suggest if you have not seen if you love the Sid and Marty Croft films TV series like Land of the Lost or if you like H.R. Puffin stuff or Sigmund the Sea Monster, or any of those old Sid and Marty Croft films, TV shows, definitely check out Puffin stuff. It is definitely worthwhile. It is great, great stuff. Love it.
