Dear brothers and sisters, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It's yet another opportunity and privilege to be in front of you. We have gone through the first series talking about the foundation of sin. and following that this is the second event and we will be continuing on the basics and we will visit through the various aspects of sins and today we will be focusing more about the origination of the sin and the original sin I would like to entitle what is original sin If we tend to ask such a question, it goes on like this. While the term original sin means it basically evolved from the human race, I would say. It has started on the day, the Adam and Eve, when they had fallen down, being victimized to what the devil had basically devised as a plan. Right now, I would like to quickly turn our Bibles to Psalm chapter 51 and verse five. If you look at it, behold, I was brought forth in iniquity and in sin. My mother conceived me. So what the Psalmist is trying to say here is everything in this world have become of kind of sinful nature because of the fallen angels from heaven. the angels that basically rebelled against God and they became devil and basically they would want to make sure that the human race, the human generation, the creation of God, whom he created with all love, care, Psalm 139, 14 says that I have been fearfully and wonderfully made. This God who created us in his own image, you know, all the organs of the body. I was just watching through a video, a medical video, and the person was explaining many things. And that one thing I would like to, one of the aspects I would like to share with you, he basically talks about the lungs. You know, this lungs, right? It has got something to do with the tennis court. It looks like if we basically expand the lungs, it would become or it would be as big as the tennis court. Can you believe this? And the water with what frequency the rate the blood is being pumped by the heart is the blood can travel up to 96000 kilometers. That that much of that much of density, the speed is not the rapidity is there. So I think these two I can keep on talking about the medical aspects. So what I'm trying to say here is God made us with love and care, with so much of love and passion. And he had got bigger dreams. And he said that all dominions are given to your hands. And on that day, devil would decide that, yeah, I will ensure that these people, I go and deceive them. And basically, Adam and Eve have fallen as prey. And we will be seeing how what could have actually happened and how I would like to basically share some of my little imagination. It's always good to read Bible with a little bit of imagination. In other words, we call it as meditation, right? We would also want to understand the meaning and visualize kind of a scenario, putting ourselves into the shoes of Eve. And what if you were Eve and if Satan approaches you, would you immediately fall down? So we are going to depict a kind of a scenario, understanding what could have actually happened there. But let me also refer to one more biblical words, Romans chapter 5 and verse 12. So I'm just turning my Bibles accordingly along with you. Don't like, you know, copy pasting the verses from the Internet. It's always good to refer the Bible, right? It's always good to turn the pages of the Bible and read. I'm almost there. Acts and Romans chapter 5 verse 12. Okay. Therefore, just as through one man's sin entered the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because all sinned. And I would also like to quickly refer to one more verse, Romans 6.23, which we have read even during our previous session. for the wages of sin is death but the gift of god is eternal life in jesus christ a lot right so for some reason sin is connected to death and death comes basically in you know in various forms accidents sicknesses and what not curses and fights and quarrels but the verse here which we have read in romans 5 12 it talks about the because of one man's sin one man's sin entered into the world right and then death took place because of that sin there wasn't concept of death probably did you understand that actually god never created us in a way that we should die one day death wasn't the concept of god it wasn't his agenda at all when he created but because sin entered the wages of sin the end result of sin would be death it starts with spiritual death and naturally it ends up with the physical death so we are still in the concept of we are still in the basics of understanding what is original sin and I'm just going to brush up various concepts which I have put together in my notes right so as a result of Adam's fall if you see sin basically made its permanent place almost permanent place into this world and Satan went and argued with God we can read in the Bible in Genesis that all dominion you have given into the hands of man and he became my slave therefore I am his king I am his ruler that's why Jesus also quotes that he's the ruler of this world who did Satan for some time he's been given that authority that he can rule over this human creation right which God created and imagine the heart of God how broken it would be, right? Imagine if you were God and you created something with a lot of passion, a lot of curiosity, a lot of expectations, and somebody breaks your heart. And the very creation whom you created breaks your heart by rebelling against you, right? And this is how you and I should feel and realize when we sin each time. And sin is not to be taken lightly. And in this modern era and this contemporary world, But I haven't even seen many churches even talking about what sin is. There are prosperity gospels, health, wealth gospels being preached. There are even gospels being preached about second coming. But what is the root cause, right, of Jesus coming? It's about sin. I came to this world to abolish sin. I came to this world to bring salvation. I came to this world to save the sinners. And I came to this world to die for sinners. And I will resurrect. And I will fight against the sin. and I will help my creations who believes in my name to fight against the sin. This is the very reason Jesus came to this world. And today we celebrate Good Fridays, Easter and Christmas. But how many of us realize sin holds the predominance, the prominence? Anyway, so let's move on. So all humans who have adopted this sin nature, right, through Adam's original act of disobedience, it continues to be a kind of an inherited practice, regardless of any sect you belong any gender you belong religion, language seems to be kind of cementing its place as an inherited practice or a habitual practice, right? As an inheritance from our forefather, the very first Adam so if I have to contemplate a little bit the serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals Bible says in Genesis chapter 2 and 3 if you can read. And one more thing to notice is serpent never had the form of moving in belly. Probably it had a good nature and good looks and probably it was talking like human beings because this is where I would like to take a pause, right? Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden? No, actually he said from that one fruit, from that one tree you shall not eat and the women replied it's only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat god said you must not eat it or even touch it if you do you will die i was reading from the verse where satan was basically asking this question right now let's take a pause here let's go two steps backward now what would have happened is this is my little imagination what would have happened is i don't think satan encountered with that women or the women encountered with Satan and on their very first meeting, Satan was basically talking about this concept of what is history? I heard God tell you something. I don't think that would be the case. I'll tell you why it is true. Even in today's world, if you imagine, sin doesn't take its root on day one. It starts as a very, very, very, very small and tiniest practice. For example, you basically mingle with a bunch of liars, right? You only hear the lies that they talk, but you really don't talk. But what happens is that will start taking its shape, that will start taking its root in your heart. And slowly what happens is you are gelling with them the more and that becomes your practice, your inheritance. And you will also unknowingly start doing, getting into that kind of practice and culture. That's exactly the concept that would have, that could be applied here. I am very sure that this could have happened for months together. Well, what was Mrs. Eve's husband, Adam, doing? Have you ever thought through it? I used to think, right? If Adam was with her, probably he would have questioned who is this guy and all that. Some level of intervention would have happened and the intimacy would not have taken to a larger extent that Eve would be talking about the secret, the kind of, it was a very strong command from God, commandment from God or ask from God that you shall not touch the tree or the fruit, right? That's it. But Satan is very clever. If he asked this question straight away, the lady would have all knowledge and wisdom to realize, no, no, he's trying to trap me. But he would not. Probably he would have asked, hey, what is this vessel? it looks so good hey what is this glory that i see around you it looks so bright and shining and the lady thought it was another creation of god and this is where we need to use our senses and wisdom right when somebody asks a certain question we need to follow this w5h principle you know what it is who where what why when how w numeric 5h principle in the corporate worlds you might have heard the trainers basically training us how to handle situations with our customers and the same principle could have basically been applied by Eve but forget about that for a moment right this interaction was basically permitted by Eve and probably he she never welcomed her husband also to be part of that interaction and for months or weeks or years I do not know Bible is not talking about that she had ensured that her husband was not part of this interaction else bible would have witnessed it right adam was saying to god this woman whom you created after god found out this woman whom you created was the one who gave me the fruit which means he's saying i have no business to do with this whole act or whole fiasco that she committed it was her own decision and i knew not how she made the decision that confirms that this guy had not even seen her interacting with the devil and he has no idea about all the interactions. In today's married women and men, I think you should have that kind of exposition to each other. Probably you should share what you're going through. Yeah, I think that's the very first step for Satan to step in between the husband and wife and create any kinds of confusions or camps and we should be very very careful in dealing with these kind of situations right now coming back to the point and then then you see the clever attitude of devil did god really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden he probes little more and this lady replies of course he said no it's in the middle of the garden then you shall not eat but everything else is yours and then the serpent immediately uses his mantra. You know what? Lie. He's a father of lies. He's a big liar. He says, you won't die. The serpent replied to the women. God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it. You will be like God, knowing both good and evil. You see, he tells. It might look good when Satan tells a big lie, but you should have all that sensation of discerning between good and bad and the day you lose that discerning spirit of course you can be sure you will be like another Eve getting deceived and you deserve to get deceived you deserve to get deceived why because you are not reading Bible enough you are not praying enough Matthew 26 41 says the prayer that God made Lord Jesus made in the garden of testimony he looked back and he said John and Peter you guys are still sleeping come on watch and pray lest you may enter into temptation indeed the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak our flesh is weak and when it became weak on the day when adam has fallen or eve has fallen okay now the woman was convinced you see immediately the next verse the woman was convinced and she saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious can you believe i'm reading from genesis chapter 3 verses 1 to 6 i forgot to tell that can you see that she saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious which means she wasn't even making any attempt to look into that fruit from the day God told and she was such an obedient child of God actually if you see Eve was innocent she was obedient she was minding her business she was actually abiding by the law or the principles or commandments what God had put forth but you see how she got into deception just because she lent that little years. She lent that little time. She gave that little room for devil. Only this much of sin, brother. So what? I actually did not drink, but I was actually only in that bar or in the pub and people were drinking. I was having only orange juice in my hand. Brother, I will tell you something. Today we'll have orange juice and it won't take much time for you to take that glass of beer or whiskey or alcohol. Right. This is exactly what happened to this lady. Innocent lady. Right. she didn't even look at that fruit. And now after she looked at the fruit, I do not know, nobody knows what fruit it was. Probably God created in a way, in an extraordinary or a supernatural way that it looked much unique and attractive and much different from other fruits. And probably that's what attracted her and she connects it with the lie of the devil that you will get all wisdom because she looked at the color of the fruit. It was so attractive. Probably that's why God did not allow us to eat. Why? Because we will get wisdom. So she took some of the fruit, some of the fruit, right? And ate it. Then she gave some to her husband. Probably it was like that jackfruit. She took some of it. Maybe she took one of the, I don't know what is the right word to use, you know, jackfruit. From there you take one of its portions, one of its fragments and eat and you can take, It'll be like a bunch of fragments forming together. And therefore, you call that as fruit. It's not like apple. Apple comes as one fragment, one piece with seeds. Probably that fruit had that nature. And she also gave it to her husband who was with her. And he ate it too. And now look at this guy. He's an absolute idiot, is what I would say, right? When this lady is giving something to her, he knew that that is the fruit God had commanded. This guy did not even open his mouth. and ask a single word or a question. That means it tells that the guy was not using his wisdom or authority, that he is the head of Eve and he was supposed to take care of Eve. He was supposed to protect Eve. Eve's security, Eve's safety was in the hands of Adam. He is the number one sinner. He should have watched over her. He should have watched what she is hearing, what WhatsApp is she watching, what internet she is browsing, with whom she is talking over the phone. Right? he failed to do that at that moment their eyes were opened and they suddenly felt shameful at their nakedness I'll tell you what the moment you sin Holy Spirit will walk away from you angels will flee away from you why because they cannot smell that stench that comes out of you all this time it was sweet fragrance that the Lord smelled and it was like an act of worship act of honor but suddenly they smell some garbage and they cannot live because they are holy, super holy. So they sued fig leaves together to cover themselves. You and I will be covering our shame. To the outside world we look like saints, but we know inside of us there is garbage. Suing fig leaves is nothing but putting and enacting something over us, upon us. It's like a dual character. One outside and one inside. you can't play these games with God because Bible says all the words are yes and amen there is nothing between yes and amen there is nothing between yes and no your word shall be yes or no you are either a sinner or you are a holy person or a righteous guy by character you see the sad downfall I hope you understood and extract certain learnings from how Adam and Eve basically have fallen into the hands of devil I used to always ask this question how can I know whether something is sinful or not yeah this is a very good question we always get entangled into these kind of questions right I want you to turn to Romans chapter 2 verses 40 and 15 I'm turning it along with you Romans chapter 2 sorry I'm taking little time because I using a new bible my old bible seems to fall down The papers are coming out I need to bind it Alright For when Gentiles who do not have the law by nature do the things contained in the law, these although not having the law, are a law to themselves. Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them. In the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. So what it says is, the Gentiles who do not have the law by nature do the things contained in the law, although not having the law are a law to themselves. So in general, I don't want to get too much into this depth, But what it means is it points to the fact that even those who do not know God or any of his word are able by nature to do what is right because of their conscience, which God gives us showing us what is right and what is wrong. Right. There is a discrimination between right and wrong. But you can use law. You can derive the threat from law and start judging. See, what it says is, hey, you do not understand the sacrifice of Jesus and live by conscience. Listen to the inner voice of the Holy Spirit that arouses right within you. Hey, don't do this and all that. At least you go by your notebooks, right? You refer to the book of Moses. You go by the law saying that this is right, this is wrong. Do not steal, it says. Do not lust, it says. But at least I have that kind of conscience. Minimal case, as an Old Testament person, you can still make your entry into heaven. more than heaven you can start living with God, reconciling with Holy Spirit unfortunately many people they have ignored their conscience and you know kind of pleased themselves for so long that they have difficulty in discerning what is right and wrong or a period of time what it would appear like is your wrong would appear like right and for whatever right you are doing you will be confused you will be in a state of perplexion all the time to judge between right and wrong that's why Bible says disassociate from the men of the world do not have association with the worldly people what what does worldly people mean that's another big concept i don't want to get in there in this session but that is again it's connected with this conscience right you need to have the discerning spirit who are worldly who are not worldly because in this modern world one day i was just attending one of the christian concert i was wondering was it really a christian concert or is it like some pop music, pop show, rock music show, kind of it was predominantly arranged for teenagers, but they said whoever wants they can come. People were jumping like devils. And they go to that top of the music so noisy and there isn't a single word in their songs called as Jesus. And it doesn't sound to me like a worship song. It was like triggering your emotions, boosting your energy and electrifying kind of thoughts and you know what it's simulating your youthful I don't know youthful lust or what should I tell I couldn't stay there for more than 15 minutes I gently walked out I'm not judging but I call that as a worldly concern it's not related to it's got nothing to do with Christianity except for the church name I don't want to disclose the church name but i'm not for it neither you should be that's where the discerning spirit plays a role right and even it happened so many years ago i happened to be part of one of the theological bible studies right and i don't want to mention the name of the certification which i was trying to do but they started getting into the depth of contemplating hey how many times paul was shipwrecked? 39. Somebody says 36. Somebody says 28. No, no, no. The correct answer is this. And somebody says, what was the distance between Rome and from one place to Rome, he was basically shipwrecked, right? They were measuring the distance. I was wondering why you guys are giving so much of importance to the distance and the number of times he got beaten up and all that. Do you understand the fact that why he got beaten up? Do you understand the fact who was Paul he was a murderer and he took the place as the 12th disciple being the murderer because Jesus gave him the opportunity because of the grace and Paul had to go through so much of tortures for what he committed against Christians and why are you not talking about concepts like these that the same opportunity which Paul got you and I also can get can you believe actually it was not the destiny for Paul that he should write those 12 epistles 12 or 13 epistles you know it was the destiny for judas this iscariot to write those actually that was a plan of god and don't tell me god made a mistake in chooses choosing judas no no no when judas was selected actually the will of god was he will become a saint like uh paul but he became he devil why same situation like how eve got deceived he got into deception he gave room for the devil he got associated with worldly men Pharisees, corrupted his mind are you with me? we need to get involved in these kind of discussions I will tell you there is no bigger teacher like Holy Spirit get into your room, Matthew chapter 6 verses 5 and 6, please read that get into the room, lock up your door and talk to the Father who is in the secret place and he will reward you publicly Bible says, you just need Holy Spirit who will teach you wonders, miracles Paul had the Holy Spirit himself when he was locked up in the jail chained and he was bit the rats were licking his wound who was there? it was Holy Spirit and that's where he wrote epistles to Ephesians, Philippians and so many other books he wrote from jail anyway, let's move on I'm sure you're able to understand what I'm trying to say next question arises within me so I was just making some questions questioning and answering is very good and that's one of the basic principles for teaching. Trust me, I didn't go to any Bible college. But this is the way how I read Bible and I'm sure if you read Bible in this context of questioning, reasoning, right? The more you reason, the more you will learn, right? Truth will set you free. How truth will set you free? You need to ask question. What is truth and what is not? You need to have the discerning skills. Discerning what is right and what is wrong, right? If I'm going to entitle and give it into your hands, how would you discern? When we become Christians, it may be hard at first sight, designing what is right and what is wrong. But if you have any doubt whether something is a sin or not, then don't do it. Especially it will result if someone have less faith because of your actions. See, they can read Romans 14, right? They are describing it very clearly. See, I'm picking this book of Romans. Why? Because it talks more about conscience. It talks more about examining oneself and understanding what is right or not. This understanding and wisdom and knowledge cometh from God. Money cannot buy it. You cannot go to the market and say that, hey, take this hundred rupees and give me one kg of wisdom. No, that can never happen. You need to read Bible. That's why Bible says that you need to read day and night. You shall meditate upon my word and upon whom God is, you know, more attracted. God is having more compassion on such people. ok the law of liberty the law of love chapter 14 is all about this as I live says the Lord every knee shall bow to me and every tongue shall confess to God these are some of the commandments you read and I won't have time to read the entire chapter 14 you should not try to get as close as possible to sin without actually sinning you should try to be as close as to God as possible and you will be far away from sin right this is something I have written and I always try to practice this but how do I know brother whether I'm close to sin or whether close to God that's why brother you need to have Holy Spirit inside of you, who is your guide who's your philosopher, who's your teacher who's the one who will put that torch light upon that sin and tell you that you are in darkness, come out of it you need to have that connect and he's the only helper John 14, 14, 15 and 16 if you read, Bible says that when you pray in my name you will get somebody called as Holy Spirit and he will be your helper. He will be your companion. In other words, helper means not like a maidservant, right? We need to treat the Holy Spirit with respect. Watch out, right? You need to know how to treat your Holy Spirit. And Jesus warned you, you call me a devil, no problem. I will still be your friend. I will still be your elder brother. But you speak a word against the Holy Spirit. What it means actually is you need to know how to treat or mingle or associate with Holy Spirit after you have received him. That's what it says. You know, 1 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 16 and 17, my favorite verses. It says that your body is the temple of Holy Spirit, but if you defile it, the Lord God shall destroy you. The Bible is not so sharp for anything else. You can commit sin, repent and be more righteous, it tells, but do not play with the Holy Spirit. Now, what is the role of the Holy Spirit? I always used to wonder, right? it's a very detailed concept but at a very high level yet there are many situations where it is not immediately clear how God's commandments apply to our situation we can learn from our church how Christians in history have understood what it means to obey God we can always refer to what historians are saying worst case right but we also it's because some of us have the habit of reading more number of books rather than reading this holy book called his bible written by the biggest author in this planet or that's god but at least you can read such books which is talking about what is the role of holy spirit in the worst case right but i would strongly encourage you should read bible you should read bible but we also have the holy spirit the holy spirit has many roles teaching leading us to understand understanding the truth he will help us to remember things what we have learned right the memory power basically comes from God. Do you know that? Many children pray for memory power because they couldn't remember next day morning when they see the exam paper. It's all forgotten. Likewise, when situation crosses us, when fear crosses us, when sickness crosses us, we forget the promises of God, right? We immediately get into panic. That's where Holy Spirit will play a role. Encouraging you because He is the Holy Spirit who will pray with groaning, right with groaning in his heart with grief in his heart he's such a loving companion I'll tell you he takes all of your deeds very personal do you know that personal companion more than you would be praying for you he will pray for you and there is another person called as Jesus who's your intercessor who's your advocate who's your elder brother and day and night his only job is to pray for you I wonder how people can say that oh brother I do not know what is sin why because you are not concentrating on the voice that comes inside of you Holy Spirit is inside of you but the one I want to highlight is conviction that is my message actually if you refer to John 16 8 it says that when the Holy Spirit comes he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment that's the most powerful words right and that's the proof what is the role of the Holy Spirit he will ensure that he convicts you for what not converting you as a christian by the way bible never talks about this religion called christianity jesus never came to this world to introduce christianity but it all uh you know it is all the result of history right over a period of time it being i'm not against christianity but what i'm saying is in the name of christianity i'm not able to tolerate what these guys are doing right so many congregations mainline churches traditional churches, Pentecostal churches and within Pentecostal you have so many sects and divisions. I'm not for it. I'm for the word of God. And that's why I'm here talking to you as the son of God and the younger brother to Jesus Christ. And so are you. You are child of God. And the child of God should listen to Holy Spirit. And that's why I'm saying John 16, 8 is important. When the Holy Spirit comes he will convict the world concerning sin. Concerning sin. Concerning sin. It will help you to understand this is concerning me. You will not take it light when you hurt someone's feeling, when you speak a lie to camouflage your documents and make that little extra money at your office. All of you are looking at me I am the only sinner in this world. Just rewind the past brother. We all are sinners before God. We all have committed sins consciously or unconsciously. But what I am saying is we need to have the realization. And then you press hard towards perfection. and you become righteous and you can be free of judgment and that's what it is that's what that's the concept of bible simple let's move on time is running now i have one more interesting question how can we judge if something is a sin right we spoke about this in our previous series or previous chapter right usually when we are in doubt over sin our first tendency is to ask if something is bad or wrong did you notice what i'm trying to say is it something bad or wrong meaning both are more or less the same is it right or wrong you won't ask because you know it is wrong is it that bad is it that bad to jump from the cliff of the rock or is it that bad to jump from the first floor I think both are equally bad anyway you will fracture your bone or you may die you jump from 10 feet or you jump from 100 feet you will die anyway or you may crack the bones and if you are lucky enough you will get caught in the tree if you are jumping from the cliff of the rock I would like to suggest think in the opposite direction instead ask yourself these questions a kind of a checklist right you go to the driving school you well you are given learning license and you have to follow a bunch of rules for that six months and if you violate actually your LLR is cancelled you start from the beginning checklist is always good I'm going to read this for you the bunch of checklists will this thing affect the morals taught to me by parents and teachers most of our parents and teachers when we were kids, childhood days, right? They will tell you do's and don'ts. Do we remember them? Make efforts to remember them. This is one of the checklists. I'm just talking to you like a philosopher, right? Like a, like a theologian for a moment, right? See, as much as possible, you read Bible and understand. If you can't, I'm telling you, take the step of a Old Testament, at least start from the basics and you become stronger and then you get into the Bible. nothing wrong ultimately you have to defeat sin right there is no right or wrong or the methods or practices or approaches only this approach you should take nothing like that you take any possible approach and take these kind of common approaches right which you even you have learned in school some of the moral science classes which you have learned do you have guilty conscious and what is the reason behind some of you are feeling guilty right i shouldn't have spoken like that although you may act like a big conqueror in front of your 10 friends ah i bet him i slapped him you know what, but you will feel bad inside of you. No, what I did was not right. The guy cried and went when I slapped on his face. You won't feel bad? That is a checklist. That is exactly brother. I'm trying to say that. That's a sin, clearly a sin. You knew it, right? But before people, you don't want to give up your egos. Why don't you have the same pleasure that you had? Do you, sorry, do you have the same pleasure you had before sinning? You're with me, right? The sexual temptation is very very um what to say very bad animal to conquer you you just cannot it's a dangerous animal but after you sin have you realized you won't have that pleasure you will have guilt you will somehow feel somewhat shaken these are the checklists but don't repeat it why do you have a conscious that blames you after that you always have a developed that consciousness which will blame you that self-blaming thing will be there you won't tell it to anyone but you will know you know you you you are the best judge to yourself that is a proverb what makes us to feel that i must not repeat this again you will feel so bad sometimes that's it man i'm not going to repeat this these are some of the checklists which you can develop for yourself you see there is there is no specific prescription or methodology how you should basically overcome sin i'm saying these are some of the practices which helps you now i i want to move on i'm still touching upon the basics why if we don't set the basics right if we don't set the foundation right we have lots to discuss i think this will be a series which will go for at least 20 hours or something like that i'll tell you towards the end of the end of this series or this chapter i will tell you why it is going to take so long i have another interesting question what is unforgivable sin forgivable sin and unforgivable I am not going to forgive this at all in a million years until I die I will not forget what that guy had done we all say that right Mark 3 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven he is guilty of eternal sin blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is referred again if you can see Matthew chapter 12 31 and 32 and Luke 12 and 10 right this question about unforgivable sin has challenged and perplexed many many christians over the years now there is nothing to challenge why because it is a commandment from god it's a direct instruction from jesus there is nothing to question but this is only applicable to the holy spirit my friend my brother if you think it is not applicable to the human beings bible says ephesians 432 please take and read ephesians collusion 4 6 take and read these are my favorite verses romans chapter 12 verses 14 to 15 bless those who persecute you. Weep with those who weep. Laugh with those who love. Cherish with those who cherish. Right? You need to basically get rid of your mood swings and get aligned with the mood of the person with whom you are mingling with. Only that you are in companionship, in fellowship. Only then the person. Don't you think Jesus treats you that way? Right? You sin today and tomorrow morning, if he starts looking at you that way, I'll tell you what the whole world will end in matter of microseconds. Because God told in Psalm 103 verse 9, My spirit will not strive with the men of men forever, neither will I hold my anger forever. But what makes him to hold his anger is this concept called his mercy. And that's why you need to read Proverbs 28 verse 13. Those who shall cover their sins, they will not prosper, but those who shall openly confess it, they will obtain mercy from God. Now why I am linking this verse to that verse is you and I cannot blaspheme or treat Holy Spirit And it is not it not it an unforgivable sin but you and I should be in a position to forgive anybody else sin You're with me? One sin that you commit against Holy Spirit, treating him, I told you this before also, treating him badly is not going to be forgivable. It's an unforgivable sin. but anything else who commits against you you shall forgive them and the disciples should be asking Jesus no 7 times should I forgive he says 770 times meaning do not even count it just leave it that's what he's trying to say anyway let's move on in the interest of time now we are going to get into the details of what are the different types of sins brother you are talking sin is good or bad how do I know what is a sin? So I think I felt I did a little bit of research using Google, using some of the books that I used to read and Bible, most importantly, right? Then I came with some of the prime concepts of knowing what are the different types of sin. Good. Now it's important to know what are the different types of sin. Now let's talk about it. Imputed sin. This is one of the concepts. Imputed sin is one of the two effects that Adam's sin had on the human race. original sin is the first effect you know original sin they both disobeyed god disobedience is the first sin that came into this world as a result of adam's sin all people entered the world with the fallen nature why first adam sinned therefore we all lived in sin second adam came defeated sin that is jesus christ and we all are now victors of sin we can get victory over sin because we are washed by the blood of jesus there is remission for sin through the blood of jesus christ we are called as righteous and Jesus purchases for a price by shedding his blood. This is second Adam. This concept we all know. In addition, guilt of Adam's sin is credited not only to Adam but to every person who came after him. You know what is if your ancestor is dead and somebody comes and knocks your door and says that your ancestor has left a big debt now you are responsible, you better give me the debt. How will you fail? You will curse your ancestor. correct no instead if they knock the door and say hey your ancestor have left a big property for you and from today onwards you are that karorpadi you are that you are the immediate inheritance coming in in his hair in his line of family how would you feel rejoice no this is the difference what Jesus has made he didn't come as to give the debt of sin but he came as to redeem and he gave us the inheritance of you know taking the birthright back which was taken away from which was taken away from adam by devil through sin he's giving that birthright that you are child of god you and i are equal jesus calls after resurrection immediately all these days he was calling friends but immediately after the resurrection he called his disciples brothers meaning you and i are the same i'm your elder brother your younger brother we both are equal look at the simplicity that humility of Jesus, right? That's why you don't need any other role model. People, I'm telling you this, my brothers and sisters, please get, we will do another series of talking about the role of Jesus, the character of Jesus, how big a role model he is. But now let's focus here, right? Now we are talking about imputed sin. In other words, we all deserve the same punishment as Adam, right? Don't we? Imputed sin destroys our standing before God, whereas original sin actually destroys our character itself. and both are equally harmful by the way both original and imputicent place us under God's judgment if God judges he will not judge partially anyone whoever it can be that's why Bible says Jesus was tempted by all means he overcame them he never become a prey to the sin P-R-E-Y not P-R-A-Y prey to the sin and he did not find a way to escape he was living in the concept of I hate sin why because I love my daddy. I love my Abba Father and how can I love sin and daddy? It's impossible. And that's why there was no blemish found in this lamp which was laid on the cross. Lamb without blemish. Bible says, Jesus came as second Adam to crush Satan right under our feet through Christ's death and resurrection. Romans 16, 20 says that very favorite verse, right? The head of the Satan is crushed right under your feet. And Genesis chapter 3 verse 15 we discussed in our first serious. That got fulfilled in Romans 16.20. Why? Because the son of righteousness went down to settle the business, right? Hey, come here. What did you do to Adam? Today is the day I am going to put you down on the ground and I am going to... Looks like I think he had enough kicking. You know, bruises all over his body on the day when Jesus died, he resurrected, he went down. And along with them, many saints woke up. And they also were living in that city, talking and proclaiming about Jesus. We spoke in that first chapter also. Sorry, I was talking about imputed sin. And I hope you understood that imputed sin came from Adam's sin. And it ruled the earth until Jesus coming. And after Jesus came, the sin was defeated. Now, the next is sins of omissions and commissions, which you would have heard many preachers would have been talking, right? We will touch upon this very briefly. Now these sins refer to personal sins. It's a very personal sin, brother. It's not from Bible, but it's a personal sin. Brother, sin is a sin. Personal sin or not personal sin. Just listen to this. A sin of commission is something we do by the act of our will against the command of God, by definition. That means you have all guts to rebel against God. you have all supreme power within you to make a decision that I am more than God who is God to command me my lust is more important that act of masturbation is more important I don't care a sin of omission, that is sin of commission committing yourself a sin of omission is when we fail to do something commanded by God through a knowing act of our will actually both are closely connected let's interpret it in a little detail sins of commission are the sins we commit, sins of omission are the sins we meant to commit but forgot you are with me we meant to commit but we forgot actually what we did so I am telling you both are equally the same when you have made a decision to sin, it simply means you are a rebel to God there is no two ways about it just take and read 1 John chapter 3 verse 8 and 9. I will refer it along with you. Let's read it together. Therefore you will understand this omission and commission a little better. If you go by definition, sometimes you will not understand. You will forget even the original meaning. It's very confusing too. Sometimes English is a little tricky. 1 John chapter 3 verse 8 and 9. He who sins is of the devil. I took a pause deliberately. Can you believe? God is calling you as a devil you are a devil for the devil has sinned from the beginning for this purpose the son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil simple no it's easily understandable next words whoever has been born of God 1 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17 I am a new creation I am born again all things are passed away it's referring to that if you are born again you do not sin for his seed remains in him what is that seed seed of god is jesus who was given birth as messiah and he cannot sin because he has been born of god you are born of god how can you sin and jesus was born of the holy spirit born of god right only jesus had that privilege during those days that he was born of the holy spirit now i'll tell you what he although as we have read in the psalm at the beginning of this conversation that we are born we have been given birth and sin but you have an opportunity to be to be reborn to be given a given a rebirth just like jesus the same experience that jesus had that he was born of the holy spirit you and i can go through it that's why 1 corinthians 5 17 is saying that you have the privilege of going through that same experience but how are you going to live after that experience, that is the challenge, no, Jesus lived very carefully, but can I live carefully and get rid of sin, no, absolutely no, because our flesh is weak, simple, our flesh is weak, but the spirit is strong, I'll tell you, that's why 1 Peter 3.18, I like that verse also, we quickly learned that, right, because it's all connected, 3.18 says, and I'm referring to 3.18, just a moment, for Christ has suffered once for sins he the just for the unjust you got it right he died for the unjust that he might bring us to god now listen being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the spirit you will be dead to your flesh you will not listen to this carnal being whatever this inner man is saying hey come on that little bit of movie um that that five minutes scene uh only no the whole movie is good but that five minutes is a little bit of less so what just watch it's okay. I'll tell you what that will be the beginning of your sin. You might forget the entire 2 hours 55 minutes of that movie but that 5 minutes will linger to your brains. Watch out brothers. When your heart says this is dirty I'll tell you simple principle put a danger light. Danger light comes you have to stop your vehicle. If you close the vehicle now they've installed cameras all around. It will automatically scan it will send a copy to the RTO. Three warnings and fourth warning you no warning. Fourth time you default your license is cancelled. same thing your license to heaven is cancelled that's it over yeah that's why I'm asking you to read Psalm 103 verse 9 do not think God is bound to mercy, compassion grace and favor it's all true but he has an upper limit I keep telling this to my daughter when I talk to her and teach Bible there is an upper limit and that's a secret God only knows some people upper limit is only one once you commit that's it over why because God has given you that strength some people are very strong in handling emotions very strong uh to you know handle devil and demonic practices therefore you're not given more than one chance in the old testament i know a prophet was basically sent to a city to preach something and he was strictly told not to eat another prophet you know to test him probably god allowed that prophet he said god that prophet would tell to this prophet there wasn't any name names about these prophets or maybe I forgot. God spoke to me that you should come to my home and eat. It's an act of deception, right? This fellow believed and he went and he ate and on the way a lion came and met with him and killed him. The lion did not eat him, it killed him. Now what it says is sometimes you need to be really wise and clever also. Bible encourages you can be clever like devil. Don't be like devil but you can be clever like devil and that cleverness and that kind of shrewdness will help you to move out of sin. This omission, commission, these are all good concepts. You go to theological classes, they will teach you. But what would you understand at the end of the day? Do you practice it? Do you know how you need to get rid of the sin? That's why we are reading these verses. Okay. Mortal sins and venial sins. That is another concept and with this we are done. Mortal and venial sins are basically Roman Catholic terms. These venial sins are trivial offenses. You know, they categorize it as small sin and big sin. Or, mortal sin says that, grievous offenses, in which punishment is spiritual eternal death. The capital punishment, you know, in court, penal court, they give, right? Capital punishment is death. You basically, you rape a woman or you kill somebody or whatever. Sometimes the capital punishment is, most of the times it is death. Or they give life imprisonment. but small sins like robbery and all like six months jail or remand him for 14 days and stuff like that it's not to be equated with penal code i'll tell you what sins are to be taken very very carefully very seriously why because eve on the first day when she started talking to the devil i'm now going to the old the first minute we started talking about this she thought it's a it's a venial sin it's not a great offense it's okay she didn't even know whether the guy was a devil or not because to me my imagination right he didn't look so horrifying the snake is so horrifying right you will really feel a little scared the guy was having a form where he had some pleasant appearance probably was talking in the language that eve can understand or could understand there was an interaction going on i don't know which language they spoke some people say that they they spoke in hebrew some people say they spoke in tamil which was the original origin of all languages i do not know i'm not here to debate about language right i'm here to debate about they spoke in a language with in which they both could understand it was not some symbolic languages right like how you talk to a dumb and a mute person or a deaf person sorry who cannot hear you in symbolic language no no they were literally interacting and it was going on she thought it was a trivial offense very very light thing but you know what happened even to this day you and I are suffering because of the stupidity do not take any sin lightly that's my ultimate message and I think that's good enough for us to come to a close setting the basis setting the basics right setting the foundation right for the upcoming series and in a moment I'm going to take you through the upcoming series like what we have planned but not before I take another 5 minutes to quickly brush up some of the sayings or quotes from some well-known people or they are renowned for their knowledge and understanding. I will take not more than 5 to 10 minutes to quickly go through that. Now I am going to read some things for you. Now there is a Swedish proverb which says that when sin drives, shame sits in the backseat. so never take it for granted you can escape from sin without shame Bible tells again in Romans 10 11 that whoever believes in me they will not be put to shame but what is the opposite? whoever doesn't believe in me they are going to basically believe in devil and they will embrace sin and they will be put to shame simple Psalms 34 5 when you look at the face of the father your face will be filled with radiance and you will not be put to shame Bible says but what if you don't look at the face of the father and look at the face of devil, you will be filled with shame. That's what they are saying. I'm trying to equate with Bible. Oswald Chambers, there used to be a writer, the essence of sin is the refusal to recognize that we are accountable to God at all. Again, I'm equating with Bible. Matthew 12, 36, for every deed and every action or every word that you, idle word, Bible says very clearly. I want to read Bible as this, right? You have to give an account in the day of judgment. Now again, white throne judgment, final judgment, two judgments are there. We will talk about it later. But I'm telling you, the essence of sin is you need to give an account. Every sin. Now don't call it as small sin, no? So I don't have to give an account. It tells very clearly their idle word. You even speak any bad word, rough word, rude word, that also it will be recorded in the tape. see there is a chip in our brain that chip will be unplugged and he will put in his DVD player on the day of judgment, that chip will record everything which means it's part of your brain thought process, it's part of your heart two chips are there, he will just pull it and brothers don't believe me, I was just joking, this is my imagination right, God would have his own ways of rewinding the tape, ok and now there is another writer Leslie B Flynn, now he says this the Roman Emperor valentine made this memorable deathbed statement that was the roman emperor valentinian amongst all my conquests that is the only one that now comforts me i have overcome my worst enemy my own sinful heart can you believe whoever blames himself whoever judges himself he is worthy to go to heaven but whoever blames others and judges others looking heavy upon others saying that Your sin is bigger. Mine is nothing. You will never make it to heaven. And that's important. And it's a good proverb for a silent read. Sow an act. Reap a habit. Sow a habit. Reap a character. Sow a character. Reap a destiny. That's what Paul also meant. The character produces endurance. Endurance produces perseverance. See, I don't know the order. Forgive me for that. I also forgot the verse. that was not part of my notes but you all remember that famous verse from Paul it's similar to it act to habit, habit to character and character to destiny now destiny you should determine pub is your destiny, you will somehow reach there for sure theatre is your destiny where you want to watch a silly movie I don't know how you can sit for 3 long hours and watch a movie and how you cannot sit and read bible for 5 minutes you get phone calls, you go to whatsapp you turn around you go to toilet, you know what it's the biggest distraction of the devil and the lie of the devil that you can't sit and read bible but you can do everything else that determines your character, ok, let's move on I have some more interesting things to read for you William Penn is another writer and he says, right is always right even if everyone is against it and wrong is always wrong even if everyone is for it that is a simple right Bible distinguishes between good and bad right and wrong and right cannot become wrong, wrong cannot become right you cannot interchange this or manipulate because Bible is yes and amen, I'll tell you, is laws and commandments are something that no one can manipulate, heaven and earth may pass away but my words by no means it will pass away which means even if the heaven is not there, suddenly sky will disappear but the word of God will live there where is it written, Matthew 24 35, trust me I'm not making all these notes people my brothers and sisters listen to me make effort to memorize the words of God you need to know what Bible is talking and from where have you not written those big books when you have done your graduation when it comes to Bible you read it so cheaply that's the book of the books biggest book and the book which is so worthy to be read and memorized if possible you read all the thousand pages in your memories and nothing wrong it good it good to know the word of god so that word of god in your heart it will bear fruits good fruits galatians chapter 5 verse 22 and 23 and john 1 1 says that in the beginning there was word word was with god and the word became flesh that's jesus right and that word always talks about the truth and there is no nothing between right and wrong. It's either right or wrong. And Bible is always right. You can trust. Okay. I'm going to read something written by C.T. Studd. Right. It's going to be a little longer, lengthier. Just pay attention. Listen to me. Man calls in an accident. God calls it an abomination. Abomination means it's a violation. Man calls in a blunder. Ah, what to do, brother? It's a mistake. God calls it blindness. Why? Because you deserve to get deceived no you didn't pay attention like eve man calls in a chance god calls it a choice our god is a gentle god he never forces anyone i'll tell you man calls in a defect god calls it a disease psalm 103 verse 3 he forgave all our sins and healed our sicknesses and diseases bible says you know what it is talking about spiritual disease spiritual disease if the your heart is full of lust i will tell you what you will get into all kind of lustful diseases right yeah you will end up in the hospital someday for sure with aids or something like that you have the mouth that always lies i'll tell you what some some other problem will cling you probably you will end up in a fight and somebody will discover that lie and they will come and trash you one day again you will go to the hospital ending up sick these are my imaginations brother ultimately I am saying don't do anything that is inappropriate man calls sin and error God calls it enmity you know what? you are becoming an enemy to God that's why we read 1 John 3 verse 8 and 9 you are a devil and devil is an enemy to God he is an adversary to God at all times man calls sin fascination come on dude, come on bro let's go to pub have you seen this younger generation kids talking parents listen to me you have a bigger role to play in monitoring your children until they are they've crossed age of 2021 right until they finish the college it's not an easygoing time teenage time is important god calls it a fatality man calls sin infirmity god calls it iniquity man calls sin luxury God calls it lawlessness what he is telling is hey you could have remained as a Old Testament guy some of you would have made heaven do you know that many of the Old Testament you know our forefathers like Abraham who lived by they are all in heaven today they knew not who Jesus was but many people who knew Jesus I think majority of them are in hell why because they took grace for granted you can sin you can repent you can get washed by blood sin, repent, washed by blood you can do it any number of times no, no if you have that attitude of repentance you will know the seed is in you Jesus is sowed in you you are that tree which is expected to bear good fruit and you have no escape the more it is given the more it will be asked right, you have no way you will be judged all the more man calls sin a trifle God calls it tragedy tragedy you know the garden of Eden it was a tragedy they were kicked out of that place, paradise man calls it a mistake, God calls it madness yeah you are a mad he said no, those who are great in wisdom they will be put as mad and those who are mad people mad of God, right? Bible says that Paul called himself as a mad guy he called himself as a prisoner he is a big scholar but he says all these are like filthy rag before God which means he said I am mad and those people God will give wisdom and knowledge and they will call every sin you know a kind of venom it's poisonous they will not take any sin lightly man calls sin a weakness God calls it willfulness you made a choice willingly you went and committed now don't tell me unknowingly a committed sin, it cannot happen. Unknowingly will you eat mud instead of food? No, right? Unknowingly. Unknowingly also you won't. Why? You will feel it is mud. Something wrong, no? Before you put it into your mouth, you will look at it, no? Likewise, before you look at some female or you know, sisters looking at some brother, lustfully, it is your choice. You had that desire, you made that decision clearly that you want to rebel against God. That's the meaning. it's like licking the toilet knowing that there are a bunch of bacteria which is going to infect you or your system will get infested you make a choice that foolish you are licking the toilet again, twice, thrice getting into antibiotics, again getting into antibiotics to clear the bad bacteria what is antibiotics? Repentance that's what you know this modern era pastors are teaching I'm not talking everyone are doing that but they take repentance for granted it's as good as like licking the toilet time and again my brothers and sisters it's as dirty as that I want to move on I will take that 5 extra minutes it's important that we make the basics very strong I have more things to read for you but we will do it together ok very quickly let's move on a little faster adhustin told this sin arises when things that are minor good are pursued as though they were the most important goals in life if money or affection or power or sought in disproportionate obsessive ways then sin occurs and that sin is magnified when for these lesser goals we fail to pursue the highest good and the finest goals so when we ask ourselves why in a given situation we committed a sin the answer is usually one of two things either we wanted to obtain something we didn't have or we feared losing something we had simple i don't think i need to explained this is self-explanatory Hudson Taylor no sin is small it is against an infinite God nobody can measure God's wisdom right his powers and may have consequences immeasurable no grain of sand is small in the mechanism of a watch Thomas Guthrie says this if you find yourself loving any pleasure above prayer any book better than Bible. We read all kind of fancy books. Colorfully one book is there in the library. You will go and pick it. Brother, I'll tell you that apple or whatever, not apple, that fruit in the tree was so colorful. We read it just now. It was so attractive that she didn't even think twice. She picked it. If you read any book, watch out what your children are reading in your absence. Watch out what books you buy for them. Diary of Wimpy Kids. It's all comedy. Tin Tin Comics. It's okay. Children, all children read that. It's cartoon related. Do you know what is written there? It basically, it's like a mesmerism. It's a hypnotism. You will not know. Your children will refuse to read Bible. They like all this kind of, you know, colorful stuff, which keeps them encouraged, entertained, and all that. Bible is not entertainment. It's book of life and death. you want to live you read you want to be saved from death you read and any house more than the house of God some people go from house to house no party can see their absence their presence will be registered in every party such people this is the message for you and any table better than the Lord's table or any person more than Christ take alarm clearly you are a sinner Thomas Guthrie is a very very sensible guy I love that now here is some quotes from an unknown author sin is character, sins are conduct sin is the center sins are the circumference circumference it's a circle right within which you park everything sin is the source of which sins are the secretion, sin is the root sins are the fruit bad fruits sins is the producer sin is the product sin is the old nature sin is manifestation sin is the higher sin is an offspring sin is one single act sin is many sinful acts ok I think this is understandable and I have 3 or 4 things to quickly read it for you the rule that governs my life is this anyone that dims my vision of christ or takes away my taste for bible study or cramps my prayer life or makes christian work difficult is wrong for me and i must as a christian turn away from it well well but chapman as i have written this so had written this so this is clear right anything that separates me from christ paul said this right i i count it as a sin sin is like a river which begins in a quiet spring and ends in a stormy sea. Simple, no? That's what happened in the Garden of Eden. There is a great difference between sin dwelling and reigning in us. It dwells in every believer but reigns in the unbeliever. Reigning means it is taking a permanent place. It becomes the king and author and finisher for you. That is what is the state of an unbeliever. Now, don't tell me every Christian is a believer. In the Christianity also, bunch of Christians are behaving like unbelievers, those who are far away from Bible, far away from the thoughts of the Holy Spirit and understanding what is the role of Holy Spirit and all that we discussed, they are unbelievers naturally you need to be born again, Bible gives us an opportunity, it welcomes us it doesn't judge us now why? because this is the grace period but some pastors I have heard them preaching, grace period brother, don't worry you sin any number of times but ensure that you always ask sorry to Jesus that's not Bible I think probably you read a different book the trouble with little sins is that they don't stay little yes it always multiplies sin blessings also multiplies sin also multiplies even double triple fold be careful DL Moody said this very important since are like car headlights the other fellows are always more glaring than our own you got it right I I don't think I need to read this. Okay, last but not the least, I'm going to read what Billy Graham has written. So this is very important. When you pick up an apple with a worm hole in it, you're inclined to think that a worm crawled to the surface of the apple, liked it and bored the hole from the outside. But this is not generally the case. Rather, a worm lays an egg in an apple blossom and the egg is hatched in the core of the apple. the hole that you see indicates that the worm was bored it made its way from within it's other way around the worm has made its way from inside to outside therefore watch out how much root sin has taken inside of you do not think you know outside is all good and examine your inward feelings it's important so it is with us when our fellowship with god is broken by sin in our lives we do not feel like talking to him if you do not feel like praying it is probably a good indication that you should or must start praying immediately why because that's what separates you from god that guilt that guilt atti
