Transcript: Baskervilles Spoof Comedy Blu-ray Review by Jason Lockard

Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans. This is Jason Lockard, Pastor Jay here with you once again, bringing you another first look video of new releases from Kino Lorber. Wow, am I excited about the one we're talking about today. So, you know, I've been trying to go back in time and trying to watch a lot of the films from actors and actresses that I've never seen before. And one of them is Dudley Moore. I sorely am behind on a lot of my Dudley Moore films. We recently watched Arthur. I know. A lot of people are going to sit there and say, you just now watched Arthur. Yeah, I did. And we have recently got Like Father, Like Son. We're going to check that one out. And so we're slowly starting to watch more Dudley Moore films. And I'm so excited about this. This is my first time going to get to watch this one, and I'm so excited. And I've not even watched it yet. So this is just kind of on the fly talking about this brand new release from Kino Lorber. I am really excited about this. Okay, so probably one of the greatest detectives of all time is the man Sherlock Holmes. We all know Sherlock Holmes. You know films with Sherlock Holmes have been done throughout the generations from the silent cinema clear to even here and now recently with Robert Downey Jr But in the 70s, the producers of this film took a hilarious route with Sherlock Holmes. and they got Peter Cook and Dudley Moore together in a hilarious script. And I have seen the trailer, so that's why I know it's going to be hilarious. It's going to be a lot of fun. But they took the idea of the classic tale of Hound of the Baskervilles, that mysterious mystery with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, and put them together. and now we have the comedy The Hound of the Baskervilles and this is with Peter Cook and Dudley Moore you have got to be kidding me this is something special and I love this artwork I have to tell you this artwork is absolutely stellar look at that artwork there's a little bit of glare there but I think you can get an idea of that beautiful artwork there just great stuff there that is beautiful artwork wow uh love it love it love it love it love it um and i like what it says there it a real howl that that cool i like that it a real howl see what they did there yeah the hound of the Baskervilles Very very cool And the artwork on the disc is pretty awesome too Look at that artwork on that. Oh man, is that cool. That's really good stuff. Yeah, this is going to be a lot of fun. There's a lot of great British actors here. Terry Thomas is in this. That is really... I love Terry Thomas. I think Terry Thomas is hilarious. I really love Terry Thomas. So that right there is a win-win for me. When you get Peter Cook and you get Dudley Moore and you get Terry Thomas 3 right there, that's it. That's all I need. I don't need any more than that. But really great cast here. And, yeah, I love it. So the folks at Kino Lorber, Code Red, and MGM joining forces here and bringing us this amazing comedy film. I love it. I love it on Blu-ray. Yes, please. I love it. That is really, oh man, is this going to be awesome. But as bonus features, there's a whole lot of trailers in this for additional Kino Lorber releases as well. So that is pretty cool. So you get the original theatrical trailer for this one, which we have watched. And wow, is it hilarious looking. Oh my goodness, it is so hilarious looking. It just, it gags galore. I mean, it really is. It's just hilarious looking. So I'm really looking forward to this. If you looking for something a little more lighthearted I think for Halloween time because Halloween right around the corner as we releasing this video it right around the corner If you looking for something that a little more lighthearted yeah Hound of the Baskervilles, come on. Yes, please. I love watching the mysteries of Sherlock Holmes at Halloween sometimes. I think they're kind of cute and kind of fun to watch.
