Transcript: Christian Movie Reviews | Mill Creek Entertainment Retro VHS Blu-ray

Greetings classic cinema and TV fans, this is Jason Luck and Pastor Jay here with you once again bringing you another Silver Screen Spotlight. We have something so, so special this time around. We are talking about three brand new releases from Mill Creek Entertainment. Wow, is this going to be awesome. And they're very, very special. We're going to jump into that. What makes them so special right now? First off, we want to talk about this one. This is Renegades. Okay, so this is a very interesting film. It stars Kiefer Sutherland and Lou Diamond Phillips. And it is basically about two guys, a cop and a Native American, who joined forces to try to find a stolen Native American tribal lance. It's really sort of like a, I hate to say a buddy cop film, but it's not really. But it kind of has that feel to a degree. And, yeah, it's really interesting. I love this. As you can see, what makes this really cool? You can see it there. See this? It's the retro VHS style look. See that? Isn't that so cool? Look at that. It looks like a VHS tape. See that? You got the VHS tape spine there. You got the VHS tape on the back right here, along this side coming out Look at that Is that not cool This just looks like a VHS tape see that this is so cool now that the slip cover and on here is like the little stickers that you would find if you went to the VHS store you know the tape store to rent something back in the day when renting was a thing but anyway don't miss worth seeing right there that is so cool now the interesting thing with this is not only do you get this awesome slip cover here, but the cool thing is you get different artwork on the inside. Is that not cool or what? That is so awesome. Love it. That is really cool. Yeah, I love it. And then, of course, with the Blu-ray, you get the slip cover look on the Blu-ray. So that's pretty cool. I like that. So yeah, that is the first one is Renegades. This one is not for the kids. This is more adult. So yeah, but yeah, it's yeah, something interesting. I'm looking forward to checking that one out on Blu-ray. Very cool. All right, second one is a hilarious comedy, and this one is Splitting Heirs, another retro VHS-style copy. See that with the awesome VHS tape looking coming out and all that? And boom, on the back and all, that is so cool. Basically, Splitting Heirs stars Rick Moranis. Who didn't love Rick Moranis? Come on, man. Rick Moranis, Eric Idle, Barbara Hershey, Catherine Zeta-Jones, all in this film. Unbelievable. It basically a Monty Python type film for those that know Monty Python But it really cool It about a king who passes away but leaves his kingdom to his adult son But now they have to try to figure out which one is the real son And, you know, an American or is it one born or raised by people in London? It's really kind of goofy and crazy and off the wall. In this, you got the stickers, like, on there, new arrival and comedy. You see that? and letting you know what it is. Now, again with this, this is pretty cool. You get this slipcover, but then when you do this and take that off, you got different artwork. Look at that. Is that cool or what? Love it. I love when you get different artwork. I love that. And, of course, on the Blu-ray disc itself, you get more of the artwork that is on the slipcover. Very, very cool. so yeah looking for oh man that is really cool i haven't seen this one in forever so yeah i'm looking forward to checking that one out and then finally the one that i'm probably most excited about is this i love my action movies and this is cold the conqueror uh yeah this is cold kevin sorbo i love that again a retro vhs looking slip cover very cool uh very cool like that on the back. So cool. Here we got the little sticker that says 30-day guarantee on previously viewed movies. Okay. Very cool. I just love these. These are so cool. Now, also with this, we get different artwork on the inside So very awesome I love the different artwork So so cool Love having different artwork and then of course you get the artwork on the disc that is more like the slipcover Very cool Yeah these are awesome Oh I telling you I am so looking forward to checking these out. We're going to have full written reviews about all three of these at Classic Cinema Plus. You're going to want to keep your eyes open for there and check out the full written review, and you're probably going to want to pick up every one of I'm pretty sure you will. If you love your comedies, you're going to love splitting airs. If you like your buddy cop movies, Renegades, and if you're a fan of that adventure, Call the Conqueror. Mill Creek got you all the way around this month. It's so cool. Love it. Oh, I'm so excited about it.
