One day at a time Plenty of stuffing, huh? Yeah. I don't doubt it. It's lousy. Well, that's not a nice thing to say when you're eating somebody's food. You don't tell them it's lousy. Okay, then the turkey's lousy. Well, I helped make that, too. Well, then it must be you. Well, thank you very much. I come to be nice to you. Who needs it? What's wrong with you, anyway? Why are you having such a bad day? Oh, who likes cringes? I don't like, I mean, nobody likes Christmas. I mean, who would like Christmas when you have to work on Christmas? I don't like Christmas. I can't stand it. What do you mean you have to work on Christmas? Did I stutter? I have to work Christmas. What do you have to do? Santa always has to work Christmas. What do you want to do? Don't be funny. You're telling me you're Santa? Ho, ho, ho. Oh, I can do that. Ho, ho, ho. Does that make me say enough? No, that makes you a nut. Well, maybe I can say that about you. It makes you a nut. And furthermore, I mean, you're not the only one that has bad days. I mean, I'm having a bad day, but I don't... Oh, my goodness. Pardon me. You're having a bad day. Yes, I am. Yeah. Look around here, lady. There's all kinds of people in this place, and ain't none of them got houses to live, and this is about the only good meal... Good meal. Good meal they're going to get the whole year, and you're complaining that you're having a bad day. Hello. You are, too. you're doing the same thing I'm doing and I mean, hey look, you know hey, you're complaining that you have to work on Saturday one day a week these guys wouldn't care if they had to work one day and get paid and make money I'm telling you, we all have bad days I mean, I'm having a bad day too What's so bad about your day? What's so bad about your day? Yeah, now that you've asked Our pastor has a dog that I mean she the sweetest little thing you ever met and we all learned to love her I mean she just sweet And she got away and got out on the road and she got hurt and they don expect her to live And they at the hospital now trying to make sure that she going to make it through the night and make it live You know, it just has broke our heart. We're all having a bad day. But you don't see me sitting around and moanting and groaning. I mean, I'm down here trying to spread a little cheer, a little sunshine to these people that are having a hard old year. I mean, let's face it, you and I, we got our troubles, sure we do. But we don't have to sit around and moan and groan and complain about the stuffing. Thank you very much. You have helped with my woes. I was down there trying to spread some cheer. Are you done? I guess that's true. Misery likes company. I guess that's what you... you're miserable, so you like company. Are you done? I guess. Now let me ask you a question. Better be good. That's good. What is Christmas? Hey, Christmas is when our Savior came to this earth to die as a baby and give us hope. I know that. Of course that's what that's all about. I mean, Christmas is a time for miracles. Did you not know that? Of course I knew. Well, then, this is the point. If you believe that it's a time for miracles, you believe that the God in heaven is going to reach down and touch a creature that he created. And that's what you've got to do. Now, what does it start with? You've got to start by saying, I believe. And if you start by saying, I believe, and then you trust in the Almighty, a miracle will happen. But you've got to start by saying I believe. And that's the truth. I do believe. Do you really? Yes, I do. Well, you sure don't sound like it. Well, I believe, but I mean, you know, hey, she needs a good vet. And I hope the vet can, you know, do his part. But I believe that God can do His part. God will do His part. He never fails. Well, that should cheer you up. I'd be cheered up if I had something good to eat. Well why don you go to a restaurant and buy something good to eat if you can eat what we have here I don see anybody else complaining but you You the only one complaining about the food That's because they don't know no better. Oh, and you're smarter than they are. Yeah, well, apparently I know what good food is. And that stuffing was lousy. Well, go back to your own home with your wife and let her cook for you. You don't want to know why she cooks. Well, apparently, you know, it's better. You put on some weight being Santa. So it hasn't been too bad. You've been eating it. Right. When you're starving, you eat anything. Well, then why don't you just eat and stop complaining? Apparently, you're not starving. You've had plenty to eat. So what are you doing here trying to get a free meal? Because I don't like wallpaper paste for stuffing. Well, I'm just saying, what are you doing down here trying to get a free meal? I'm trying to spread some Christmas cheer. Well, you better start. You might know I ain't spreading anything but a little bit of downness. Making everybody else hike them in here with a good attitude. I thought, you know, hey, I'll come and cheer you up. Well, you did a good job. Well, thank you. I thought I did. I'll tell you what. Bring me as much of the stuffing as you can get. What are you going to do? Take it out and give it to the animals outside? No, I'm going to take it with me. When I get across the seas, you'll be surprised what reindeer will eat. They'll eat anything. So bring me as much as you can. I'm sure there's plenty because it's lousy. Well, you know what? Through all of this, I hope you have a good day. And I hope things turn out good for you. And I hope you don't work too hard and, hey, try and have a Merry Christmas. I've got to go help somebody else. Before you go. Yes, sir. Jasmine's going to be okay. I appreciate that. And I thank you. Have a good one. And you have a good one, too. Put something in my stocking. Coal. I heard that. Yeah. What a woman. How is she? I don't think she's going to make it. Oh, I'm so sorry, Pastor Jay. I just can't believe this. I first had David, now Jasmine. You know, just got to believe, Pastor Jay. Just got to believe. I going to my office You need me just give me a call Okay well keep your chin up Just believe Pastor Jay What's going on? That's been got out. She got hit by a car. They don't think she's going to make it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry to hear that. She was a sweet, sweet girl. Grandpa, you're like one of the greatest vets I've ever known. Can you help Jasmine? Son, I can't do that. I don't. I'm too old. Please, Gramps, don't let her die. Okay, okay. Let's go. I'll see what I can do. I can't guarantee anything, but I'll see what I can do. Grandpa, this has been one amazing Christmas. I ain't going to let those people tell me what I can and cannot do. Saving that little baby's life just made me realize that I got some life left in me. And I can still do what I always did. So I'm going back home and I'm fighting for my business. I'm fighting for them babies. Glad you're going back to help others who need your help. Good for you, Grandpa. Good for you. Ho, ho, ho. Merry Christmas, Miss Jones. Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho. Thank you. I'm not giving up for it no matter what others say. With the Lord at my side, I'm never alone. I'm destined to win. So step by step, I'll take it. One day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time One day at a time One day at a time
