Language is such an interesting topic. Many years ago, I wrote a dictionary. That's right, a whole dictionary. Even now, it is being used in schools in India and in Africa. I don't recommend dictionary writing, by the way. It is one of the most boring jobs you could ever imagine. Nevertheless, there were some interesting things that I learned along the way, especially with regard to the history of some words, as they have changed over the centuries. Take the word awful, for example. It used to be synonymous with awesome or awe-inspiring, especially in relation to mankind's reverence for God. But somewhere along the line, awful became quite the opposite, an adjective more appropriate for the devil than for God. The word nice has moved in the opposite direction. It started out as meaning stupid or ignorant, but somewhere along the line it came to be more of a compliment for a kind, harmless, polite person. In more recent times, nice has started to revert back to being an insult for someone who is too gutless to take a stand on important issues. Something like has happened in some circles with the concept of being politically correct. Similar problems have arisen with some words that appear in the Bible. Take the word bishop, for example. Lutherans and Anglicans are the only Protestant denominations that have bishops, even though bishops are clearly mentioned in the Bible. So, you could say that this is proof positive from the Bible itself that Protestant denominations, apart from Lutherans and Anglicans, are unscriptural. totally out from under the protection of God. At least that's a conclusion you could reach if you thought that the King James Version of the Bible was God's final, perfect and literal word on everything. You see, there's a special kind of reasoning that some people have with words and religious faith. Like what I just did with Protestants who don't have bishops, you can assume that no actual teaching, no amount of explaining, No examination of the history of the word is necessary in order to prove a point. You just point at a word in the Bible, and you keep shouting it over and over again, Bishop, Bishop, Bishop, and you assume it proves that you have just won an argument. Let me illustrate it another way. Someone says, Trump, look at it right here, in 1 Thessalonians 4 verse 16, the Trump of God, read it for yourself. the Trump of God. Are you going to argue with Scripture? He's the Messiah. But, of course, if you know how to play the game, you can argue back. Wait a minute. Look at this. Six, six, six. Three of them. See for yourself. I have a picture of them right here on my computer. Six, six, six. Huge gold letters on the front of Jared Kushner's building. There it is, staring you right in the face. The Antichrist. It's obvious if he would just open your eyes. This kind of irrational fanaticism with words and numbers has been practiced over and over again, especially with that silly number. 666. Right there on his car license plate. Right there in her social security number. Right there on an application for a patent. right there in the price for the first Apple computer. The number of pages in that book you're reading. The length of that airplane. Six letters in his first name, six in his second name, and six in his last name. In other words, they make no effort to understand what the number really means in the context in which it was written. And they do it, whether they do it with numbers or with words, because it's not about real knowledge. It's about superstition. Remember those words, superstition and knowledge, because I going to be saying a lot about them in a bit But let talk about another word Let talk about PHARMAKEA Some guy wrote to me on this channel and said something like PHARMAKEA Revelation 18 what do you have to say about that? Well, I knew what he was getting at, but how do you carry on a conversation with someone who cannot even put together a proper sentence? As though saying, PHARMAKEA, Revelation 18 has some intelligible meaning that anyone should be able to pick up out of the ether. So I wrote back and asked him which translation of Revelation 18 he wanted me to read. You see, the only translation of Revelation 18 that has ever used the word pharmakeia is one written in Greek. It's not even an English word. It's a Greek word. But it sounds like an English word, doesn't it? Let's all say it together. Pharmacy! That's right, pharmacy. But there's one problem with that observation. No English translation of Revelation 18 in the history of the world has ever translated that Greek word as pharmacy. What I've been asked to believe by literally hundreds of people over the past few months is that all 180 translations or however many there are of the New Testament have been made under the control of the Illuminati, or the Masons, or the Lizard people, ever since the original Greek version of the Revelation was penned by John the Revelator, and we cannot trust any of them. The word pharmakeia means pharmacy, they say, or, alternatively, it means pharmaceutical companies. Why? Because they say so. but before we accept that conspiracy theory let me explain why none of the various versions of the Bible translate the word as pharmacy what pharmakeia originally meant was sorcery other words used in the various English translations were witchcraft, evil spells and black magic but definitely not pharmacies see that is the difference between real knowledge and superstition. Superstition can take one word and link it to another without any knowledge of the real meaning or history of the word. Superstition is popular because it never lets facts get in the way of a good argument. People with clinically assessed mental health problems often play games with words, looking for evil in the middle of otherwise innocent words in order to prove a point. many of us have done this jokingly from time to time but seriously disturbed people think that the word games actually prove something like superstitions about the number 666 they might talk about Satan Clause demon nations or dominations theological cemeteries Sundays being when you worship the sun government services that sort of thing I've done it myself I wrote an article on the idolatry in the world like I said for most of us it's just a game but for mental patients it actually proves something the similarity between two words becomes a powerful superstition a curse based entirely on the similarity between two different words and sadly that is what has been happening with this word pharmakeia over the past year and a half. Now, if you would like to know the full story behind the word pharmakeia, here it is. Because witches and sorcerers used superstitions and a lot of supposedly magical hocus pocus to create brews with which they believed they could cast spells on people, the word pharmakeia, which means sorcery, came to be associated with mixing potions. As modern science, long after Revelation 18 was written, began to make intelligent inroads into chemistry and the way that certain elements react with each other, the word pharmakeia was applied to them. So it was applied to witches mixing chemicals using superstition and chemists mixing chemicals using knowledge and so these true scientists the chemists started to be called pharmacists but they were not witches they were not sorcerers they were true scientists seeking real knowledge only the name sounded similar the meaning was virtually opposite like awful and awesome now I'm going to say something more about those two other words science and knowledge because there is another passage of scripture in the Bible that is being distorted in such a way as to attack true knowledge and ironically it does so on the basis of fake knowledge or fake science essentially superstition just like I have been illustrating with those other words that people pretend are saying things that they are not saying. It's not based on true knowledge about the words and their history. It's based on superstition. There is a body of scientists who specialize in linguistics, that is languages. They are not superstitious. They really know what they are doing. They spend their whole lives accumulating a lot of knowledge about languages and in the case of Bible translations, most of them specialize in Hebrew or Greek or both. These are true scientists. They are the ones who have told us what pharmakeia actually means in that passage. But there are fake scientists who operate more on the level of superstition. These are the ones who take a word like pharmakeia and try to seduce the whole world into believing a lie. That lie being that the word is talking about pharmacists, about chemists, about medical research, and about the pharmaceutical companies that produce and distribute those medicines. The people doing this are fake scientists, more or less casting spells on masses of people who really ought to be smart enough to challenge them about what they are saying. as Christians, as people who are concerned about honesty about truth and about knowledge we need to challenge these lies we need to challenge these superstitions this fake science ok, so hang on to that thought and turn over to a verse in Paul's first letter to Timothy turn to the 6th chapter and verse 20 Paul tells Timothy to avoid profane and vain babblings and oppositions of science falsely so called. In simple terms, he is talking about avoiding fake science. Just what I've been saying throughout this video. He is soberly warning Timothy to avoid fake science. Now, the word for science here is a Greek word pronounced gnosis. this is the only place in the whole Bible where the word gnosis is translated as science everywhere else it's just knowledge now both are valid definitions because real science has always been about knowledge as opposed to superstition Paul is telling Timothy to avoid superstition and pursue real knowledge instead real knowledge is a godly thing Totally supported by scripture. So, over in the Revelation, we had superstitious people trying to accuse medical researchers of being witches. And now, here in this passage, we have a similar problem, where people are trying to call their superstitions science. And Paul is warning Timothy to stay away from such people. Now, apart from a very few primitive tribes, the world everywhere today understands that science, historically, represents a search for knowledge, with very strict guidelines. It includes lots of accountability, lots of testing, and a need for others to be able to replicate anything that one person says. Even after thousands and thousands of tests if the results are not absolutely perfect things may still be called theories After all these years we still talk about Einstein theory of relativity Real science is like that It does not rush to conclusions It publishes inconsistencies in its own theories It listens to all sides And it has very little tolerance for superstition but because witchcraft and superstition traditionally have rarely called themselves science and because false religious doctrines of all sorts do not call themselves science it has become popular in recent times to assume that Paul was warning Timothy to stay away from real science in many churches around the world but especially in America fake science can in their opinion be only one thing and that is real science. They don't know of any other science so they assume it must have been what Paul was talking about. What they fail to realize is that they themselves are what Paul was warning Timothy against. Profane and vain babblings and oppositions of false knowledge. Think about all those false prophets who told you that they knew Donald Trump was going to be re-elected. False knowledge. Fake science. The same kind of fake knowledge that pretended that all the Bible translators conspired together to hide the truth about pharmakeia. The fundamentalist evangelical churches of America have been taken over by false knowledge, by sorcery, by superstition, by witch doctors. spouting insane arguments that simply do not stand up to the light of day and they laughingly call it science. Now, I love these people and God loves them but the lies simply must stop. Thousands of people are dying all over the world right at this moment because of lies, superstition and just plain fake science. Please listen to reason and ask for help from God to get yourself back on course in this awful avalanche of deception. That's my message in this video. Real science vs. fake science The truth vs. superstition Medical missionaries vs. witch doctors We have been tricked into reversing things and attacking the very thing that the Bible supports. I'm not talking about the pharmaceutical companies. Like money-making enterprises everywhere, they have been corrupted. But don't forget, that includes the money-making witch doctors as well. What we need to be able to do is to rightly divide the word of truth on both sides. Evolutionary theory is as much superstition as QAnon, Sid Roth and Sherry Tampany put together. They are all fake science, false prophets. We need to be awake to all of their lies. But real truth is out there too. And we need discernment to rightly divide it from all the bunkum and exaggeration that abounds today on the information superhighway. We need real scientists who can look at both sides of an argument, who understand statistics and can spot false logic, who are willing to replicate experiments and to accept criticism from others who have been trained in spotting the truth. Don't be fooled by the sorcerers. Don't be fooled by fake science. Above all, listen to Jesus, the one whom both sides of the political spectrum continue to ignore. He alone has the words of eternal life. He is the way, the truth and the life.
