Transcript: Understanding the Dangers of Broken Promises in Proverbs 6

Hello there, good morning and good evening. A warm welcome to one and all of you and I greet you in the name of a loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And namaskaram to all the Indians, whoever are listening to me. It's been a great privilege so far. We have been doing a wonderful job through these short sessions and people have been really appreciating and more than appreciations, they have been benefiting a lot and that's what keeps us going. I am very happy to do these sessions and very glad these are helping you. Alright, today we are going to meet on yet another important topic and each time we meet on certain topics that's going to only help you, build you as a different person. That's going to help you extract the real value from your life, the value system right in your life. You really need to keep it to its best and you really need to revisit it. Why? Because your value system is tightly coupled to your spiritual doctrines and your spiritual priorities. If your spiritual doctrine and spiritual priorities are not part of your value system, which means your worldly priorities and your worldly doctrines have taken place in your value system, which means you are a worldly person and you are of demonic wisdom, You are not of God and God can nowhere use you in his works. And therefore, it's a big problem and you really need to take a watch of it. Warm welcome to this session where we are going to talk from Proverbs chapter 6 and verses 1 to 5 will be our meditation verse. It's going to be a short session and we will see what best to cover from this session. Alright, you're all ready? Yeah, thank you for saying that. the title of this topic would it's going to be dangerous promises there are a lot of people who get into perilous moments or dangerous moments because they would go around and make certain promises in the sense they would go around and make certain commitments right and then the next day they would say oh i didn't mean that way but i meant this way no no no whatever you are telling nowadays people are recording, right? They have camera, mobile phone, this and that. You will end up in a terrible problem, right? And not only that, people also do it evidentially. We are going to, you know, meditate from the word of God, how the believers in Christ get into deception. Actually, you may not be a believer, you may be an unbeliever. This is still valid for you. These are the words of wisdom from Solomon, King Solomon. And these are going to help you. And these are very very practical teaching and more so if you are children of God the wiles of the devil are always there waiting for the right moment to attack you to devore you to deceive you to grab you yeah to push you to the corner and to lead you into the struggles in life you never give room why because that is definitely his job to deceive you but your job is to resist the devil bible says resist him and he will flee away from you bible says in James 4 7 how do you resist him you don't see him, right? He's an unknown enemy. He's an invisible enemy. And that's what makes his life easier to attack you, right? You have an invisible man around, you know, beating you on the head, pulling you by ears, pulling you by nose, pulling you by emotion. And then, you know, taking up a piece of wooden log and beating you constantly, consistently on your head. He beats here and you turn around and he beats this side. Very, very tough to attack an invisible enemy. That's why it It's very, very important to understand the words of wisdom, right? Because your fight is not with the blood and flesh. Do not look at your brother or sister as your enemy but always focus who is behind them It is always the vials of the devil Ephesians 6 you take and read from verse 7 to all the way 17 you will understand what i talking all right now let hear from solomon what he said my son if you become surety for your friend if you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger yeah the you don't even know what will happen right or some people know now they realize you become surety for your friend many people they sign only a witness signature brother please just one witness signature you know it will not it is not just a signature it is a surety signature which means tomorrow if the guy is becoming has become a defaulter or bankrupt for all known reasons or unknown reasons fortunate reasons unfortunate reasons the banker is going to come and ring your bell hey you are the one who signed and gave this address that you know this guy now without a choice you're accountable to repay whatever debt he had taken from us you will like it huh that's why whoever it may be these are all words of wisdom whoever it may be don't get into trouble by signing those papers or whatever please ask them and don't sign any papers you don't have to take accountability see give them whatever you can and please stay away from such things right and you got to be very careful and likewise shake hands and pledge for a stranger right pledging means what you you give something to get something else right you pledge your property and you take loan on that if you don't repay the loan the property you pledged is gone many people say that you know you take my property pledge it and give it back to me what if he doesn't give repay the loan the banker is going to take away your property too not only this brother, even from spiritual standards, right? You don't have to take too much upon yourself sometimes, you know, when people would not walk by the word of God. First of all, lead them to Christ. Do not simply pray for everyone. Make them accept Christ. Only then the prayer is going to be valid. Else what happens is your prayer would not even cross the rooftop. God is not going to listen. You're praying for a brother, praying for a sister who have not accepted Jesus. You can pray for them only for one reason that is please God help him to accept you. Show him who you are. Only then his petitions are going to be answered. If required you do wonders in his life miraculously you heal that brother and you please make him accept. Your focus should be on helping the brother to accept. We are not having any forceful convictions here. You are praying to God for that brother. You are not talking to the brother. You are not pulling him by force. Come on accept Jesus. Not like that. right but you are praying to God in secret and God will reward you publicly Matthew 6 says that right so in spiritual standards it's also as good as like pledging right people you know sacrifice their time energy their soul everything their spiritual realm and all that and they pray for someone who has not accepted Christ so what happens God is not going to answer that prayer you are wasting your time lead him into Christ and then they don't need you because why they have Christ already right they have Holy Spirit already they know what to do that's enough but you need to pray for their salvation that is where you need to really spend time let's move on verse number 2 I am reading from Proverbs 6 2 you are scared sorry you are snared by the words of your own mouth snared means you are caught that's why what is that There is a saying in the Tamil, I don't know how to translate it, right? You can even give somebody to hold your neck, but do not give anybody to the opportunity to hold you by the words which means writing emails writing a letter anything in writing don give which means it includes anything the words of your mouth that too in front of two three people why they become witnesses Don talk Let the words of your mouth be numbered If possible zip it Stay quiet You angry Go to an empty room and talk about him anything you want Even that is also not good. Because that will lead you to slandering attitude, gossiping, mongering, complaining. All these are demonic. So don't talk. Tell God. You know my problem and you take care of it, God. You know what the guy did against me. That's enough. So far you're with me. Okay? You are taken by the words of your mouth. Because there will be people who will witness. Yeah, I know that guy, I know that day. In anger you might have taken. You know, your life is in my hands. I will take care of you. Somebody else would have killed that guy and the murdering thing will come on you. Why? Because the guy who wants to really murder him would have also heard you talking on that day in anger. And silently he would have gone and murdered and he would have kindled the witnesses. And he would have, you know, he would, that's the way he escapes. There are a lot of innocent people suffering in jail. Because why? They would have made statements like this in public. Why? Don't get into all that, you know. Just zip this big hole on your face. That is mouth. Many are thinking, what is this? It's your mouth I'm saying. Verse number 3. What is that? Proverbs 6.3. So do this, my son, and deliver yourself, for you have come into the hand of your friend. Go and humble yourself. Plead with your friend. Very, very important quality, right? these are all words of wisdom to protect yourself from danger sometimes you would fight with your friend without knowing his background without knowing his power without knowing his position you would have taken that fellow for granted because he is my childhood friend but now after childhood friend but 20 years later he has become a big politician or he has become a big powerful businessman right you have fought with him now be wise go and talk to him and say that I'm sorry. Even if the friend is a very, very, what is a person who is not great in the society, is not a millionaire, is in poverty and all that. If you fight with him, Jesus will have, you know, require an account of you. Why? Because you need to love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22, 39. Then also you will be held with a charge of not being humble, not loving your neighbor then also it is good important it is sorry it's good and important for you to go and plead with your friend and say that please forgive me what I did was wrong any day you humble yourself you walk in humility you walk in low in the loneliness of mindset whoever it may be right whoever may be your friend whether great in the society or lowest in the society doesn't matter either way God will like this quality why because it's godly attitude right if he's higher level in the society you will be you're clever enough and wise enough to protect yourself if he is very very low in the society is not a rich person and all that God will honor your simplicity and humility either ways you are benefiting what do you lose nothing so why you are having egos why are you saying you know this fellow we both grew up together he used to get beatings from me 20 years ago but now he has got you know so many powerful people around him why would you get into the same ego. You are a fool. You are a stupid according to the word of God. So don't do that. Today you are into some problems like this. Please don't reconcile with people. Humble yourself. Plead with your friend and say that forgive me man. I'm sorry. What I did is wrong. Proverbs 6.4. Give no sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids. Hard working Right Which means don kill yourself Don be a workaholic But in that eight nine hours of time stay away from Facebook whatsapp this and that distractions Give quality time to work and do not distract yourself, right? That's what it means And on top of that do not be a sluggish person you have gone through certain failures Find ways to overcome work it out work it out fight against it keep trying out things 10 things you may you may try nine of them you may fail but that will be once one one click right it will it will nullify all the remaining nine failures but you need to keep trying to reach that position that's what it means give no slumber don't give up that's what it means in worldly terms they say no never give up never give up keep fighting against it where do you think they got that idea from this word of God Proverbs 6 5 Proverbs 6 sorry 6 4 Proverbs 6 5 I'm going to read them with that we close deliver yourself like a ghazal from the hand of the hunter and Like a bird from the hand of the fowler. What does it mean is Some people you won't even recognize that they are devil's agent They'll be behaving with you so nicely so kindly and you would have believed them blindly On all that and at some point of time you you know you are in a you will get to know you're in a trap but it will be too late. That is where you need to ask for God, spirit of wisdom. These are three important gifts. According to 1 Corinthians 12, 1 to 11, spirit of wisdom, spirit of knowledge, spirit of discernment. Any believer in Christ that is lacking in these three qualities, according to me, they are not Christians. You call yourself as some other person, right? You are not a believer in Christ. You cannot lack in these three gifts. These are mandated gifts. You need to really ask God to bless you with these gifts. you need it only then you can fight against the devil only then you will know that person is of devil is not of God right when when the devil approached Eve Eve never knew it Genesis 3 1 why he was talking in a mellowed voice he picked up an animal which is good in stature very good-looking and he deceived her likewise I'm not saying all good-looking pretty women and handsome men or bad but I'm not saying that right I'm telling you use your gifts anointing gifts of God and please do not get yourself into trap get yourself into the snare what the hunter has you know that for the how they catch birds is they will be putting in all good things but when the when the when the bird lands it doesn't realize that its leg is already caught after eating everything, it will try to fly. That's when it will know its leg is already caught in that net. Right? Likewise, when you get into some habit, when you get into some new relationship, when you get into some new business with people, right? In new circumstance, new situation, you will not know. You're already in trap. Before getting into it, pray God about it. Right? Always. And you want to start a new business, pray God. You want to have new partnership, pray to God. Alright?
