Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans! This is Jason Lagard, Pastor Jay, here with you once again, bringing you another Silver Screen Spotlight. And today we are taking a look at a brand new, two brand new releases actually, from the good folks at Mill Creek Entertainment. These releases have arrived at Classic Cinema Plus Studios, and this is not going to be released until the end of January 2022, and we have them early. So we're giving you a little sneak peek, if you will, at these two amazing releases. This is something I'm really excited about. These are what they call Through the Decades collections. I love this. These are collections of films that took place during certain decades. So this is pretty cool. I hope we see more of these. These are really cool. This is through the decades. This is the 60s collection. Very awesome. Love that. Four discs and 12 movies. Now, we're not going to go into great detail about these because we'll do a full written review. and so go to Classic Cinema Plus about that. But we'll tell you a little bit about this. First, there is a comedy, comedy drama, if you will, Who Was That Lady, starring Tony Curtis and the great Dean Martin, love Dean Martin, and Janet Leigh. The Notorious Landlady, starring Kim Novak, Fred Astaire, and the great Jack Lemmon, love that. Jack Lemmon's back again with another one. This one is Under the Yum Yum Tree Pretty cool And this one has Dean Jones in it Love me some Dean Jones That pretty cool Jack Lemon Back One More Time That three so far of Jack Lemon I love that And this one is Good Neighbor Sam Jack Lemmon in this one Very very cool from 1964 That pretty awesome 63 was Yum Yum Tree, 62 Notorious Lady, and 59. Interesting. Who was that lady? 59. I guess they're bumping that up. That's okay. Anyway, the next one is Lilith, and that stars Warren Beatty and Peter Fonda. Pretty cool, from 1964. Baby, the rain must fall. Steve McQueen, love that. And that's from 1964 as well. Then we've got to get a little bit of action in this one, right? Some Genghis Khan. This is Stephen Boyd, James Mason, and Omar Sharif from 1965. Pretty cool. Warren Beatty back again with Mickey One from 1965. Very cool. Love this one. The Chase featuring Marlon Brando, Jane Fonda, and Robert Redford from 1966. Pretty cool. Jack Lemmon once again. For those that are counting, that's number four. Jack Lemmon, once again, this one is Love, L-U-V. And this features Peter Falk and the great Peter Falk, who was better known as Columbo. Love that. Excuse me, sir. Pardon me if I may. Some people will get that. Others won't. Anyway, but that's Love from 1967. How to Save a Marriage and Ruin Your Life. This is Dean Martin and Stella Stevens. Love that. 1967. Pretty cool. And then finally, finishing up with Peter Lawford and one of my favorites, Jerry Lewis. This is 1969 Hook Line and Sinker So a lot of stuff on this I mean 12 movies on this decade Collection Can wait to jump into that Then we also got the Decades Collection The 70s This is 11 movies on four discs Pretty cool Let's run through these real quick. The Owl and the Pussycab, this is Barbara Streisand and George Seagal in 1970. A Walk in the Spring Rain Anthony Quinn Love Anthony Quinn This one is from 1969 That's jumping, that should have been 60's But that's okay, that's not a problem Anyway Dollars This is Warren Beatty and Goldie Hawn 1971 The Anderson Tapes This is Sean Connery Who didn't love the little Sean Connery And Martin Balsam Love Martin Balsam 1971. This one's very special right now. Brother John from 1970. This stars Sidney Poitier. And sadly, we just lost Sidney Poitier as we were recording this just a few days ago. Sadly, but this is a great tribute to him. Love that. The Horseman, Omar Sharif on this collection now. Pretty cool. And also has Jack Palance in it. And this is from 1970. All right, coming up next is Gumshoe. Albert Finney, love Albert Finney, pretty cool. And this is from 1971. Jack Nicholson. Yeah, Jack Nicholson. Got to have a little Jack Nicholson in the 70s, man. This is The Last Detail from 1973. Charles Bronson and Martin Balsam Here in 1973's The Stone Killer Pretty awesome And then Barbara Streisand is back again for a second time In this collection with For Pete's Sake 1974 And then finally Fun with Dick and Jane This is George Seagal and Jane Fonda And also has Ed McMahon in it. Here's Johnny from 1976. Wow, this is a pretty cool little double dose of collections from the decades. Love this stuff. These are so cool. I'm looking forward. Hopefully these are going to be a big success and we'll get some more of these. I would love to see more of these decades collections. Maybe some 40s and 50s and then maybe some 80s and 90s. Yeah, that would be pretty cool. I love these things. We're going to have full written reviews about all the stuff that's in these and you're going to want to know all about it. But definitely if you love the films from the 60s and 70s, Definitely go to Amazon.com or where you pick up your DVDs online and go and pre-order these because these are awesome. I took a quick look at it and these look pretty cool. So, yeah, looking forward to jumping in and watching all these. So, definitely.
