Transcript: Hell's Reality: Understanding Eternal Separation with Eric Proctor

Hello and welcome to Brighter Day Baptist Church. We're going to be bringing a special sermon tonight. Let's pray before we begin. And I hope the Lord will bless you with this sermon. Dear Heavenly Father, we just thank you so much tonight, Lord, that you can just please prepare my heart and my mind and my soul for this message. Lord, it's going to be a powerful one. we just ask you Lord to help the listeners Lord I hope it would be a blessing to them Lord we just thank you so much for this time we can gather and in Christ's name we pray Amen this message is an important message tonight it's kind of an open book open sermon and we're going to be talking about an important subject though and that is on hell hell is a real place. Hell is God made hell. It is a fiery brimstone place where sinners go that do not want the Lord Jesus Christ in their life. I'm going to bring some scripture over here that I'm going to be reading. Please bear with me. In Luke 16, verse 23, it says, And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torment. What you're about to read or hear is hard to believe. What you're going to examine is the place in the Bible that is called hell. it's documented evidence for a place called hell don't take what you're going to read lightly you could be in serious danger the Bible continues to warn of a place called hell there are over 162 references in the New Testament alone which warns of hell. And over 70 of these references were uttered by the Lord Jesus Christ. In Luke 16 Jesus Christ gives a frightening picture of hell The rich man also died and was burned And he lifted up his eyes being in torment and saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus is in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his fingers in water and to cool my tongue, for I am in torment and flames. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime received good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things. But now he is comforted, and thou art in torment. And besides all this, between us and you, there is a great gulf fixed, so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot neither can neither pass to us. This was a great void. They can't come, and you can't go. there's a big canyon a big void there but Abraham said son remember that thou is ok we've read this let's go down in here and we read this great so that they which would pass from hence to you can neither come and they pass to us that would come from thence then he said I pray thee therefore, Father, that thou would send him to my father's house, for I have five brethren, that he may testify unto them, lest thee also come into the place of torment. Now this was in Luke 16, 22 and 28. Hell is a place of fire and torment. the man in Luke 16 24 cries I'm tormented in this flame in Matthew 13 42 Jesus says and shall come to them into a furnace of fire there shall be willing and gnashing of teeth in Matthew 25 41 Jesus says depart from me you cursed into the everlasting fire Everlasting That means it never quenched It always burning It is burning like brimstone When Jesus made hell, he made the perfect place torment for sinners that do not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. Let me ask you tonight, as I'm reading these passages, do you know where you're going when you die? Do you know where you're going? Because there is, it says, 162 references along in the Bible. Jesus preached on hell. Let me ask you this. Do you know where you're going tonight? If you do not, you can know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. And all you have to do is get on your knees and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and forgive you of your sins. And that Jesus paid that price on a cross, a long rugged cross. And his blood shed for you and for me. and that you can accept Jesus Christ, Lord, for your life. There's times that we are in right now that I would not want to go to sleep tonight if I did not know that I was not saved by my Lord and Savior. I'm putting this out tonight as an urgent, urgent thing you should do. Do you know where you're going? Hell is the real place. Do not wait. Do not hesitate if you do not know your Lord Jesus Christ. Because if you wake up in torment, I have told you about it. The Bible tells you about it. Lord Jesus Christ preached on hell. Do not wait. For Jesus Christ said in John 3.16, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Everlasting life. Do not hesitate. Do not wait. For God is real. And He will judge when you die. When you die, you will get judged. So, all sinners, Please, I beg of you right now, if you would get on your knees and accept Jesus Christ you can enter in heaven with Jesus Christ forever and not have to go to torment The Bible teaches why gain the whole world and lose your soul and die and go to hell when you have a free gift of Jesus Christ so you can accept it into your heart and have eternal life with Jesus Christ forever. Why gain the whole world? It don't make sense, does it? See, here's the great thing. Jesus Christ, people say, why ain't he returned? It's because he's being so merciful. He is so patient with us. His love endures forever. His love is great. I mean, think about this. God who created the universe, God who created the stars, the whole entire earth, Everything exists in earth. And he loved you so much that he sent his son down here to die for your sins. For your sins. None of us is, we're like rags. None of us is righteousness. It is a fellowship with Jesus Christ. and if you're lost, I'm asking tonight to get on your knees and just pray. Dear Heavenly Father, I am a sinner. I come to you and Lord, please forgive me my sins. I believe that you died and you rose again. Please Lord, come and I accept you as my Savior. Please save me from my sins. and He will. He will save you if you've prayed this prayer. We at Browder Day Baptist Church are firing up the gospel for Jesus Christ and we're firing up to preach on hell because hell is real. We don't want these churches don't want to preach on hell but we're going to preach on hell tonight because hell is real. and people, you need to wake up, because time could be running out. Let's end in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, I just thank you for this message, Lord. Please, Lord, I just pray, Lord, if anyone is listening to this message, that they would come to know you tonight as their personal Savior. We just thank you for this wonderful message.
