Hello and welcome to Jesus, our Light in a Dark World podcast. This is a podcast where we share the light of Jesus to a dark world because we know, we all know someone who, you know, they don't know what we know. You know, they're living in darkness, they're bound in chains of depression, Feeling like a failure. Feeling empty. All those different things that this world can put on people. And there's a way out. And that's Jesus. Jesus can deliver us out of anything that we're going through. And we all know people in this world who don't know this. So that's what this podcast is about Us sharing stories and testimonies About what Jesus has done for us Which I know If someone Is dealing with something similar If they hear your story It will help them So that's what this podcast is about And We want to hear your stories not just hear from me all the time but today's story as you can see podcast episode number 3 we're going to be talking about the chosen TV series and for those of you who may be living under a rock and you say what is the chosen the chosen is a TV series that is independently funded. You know, it's independently made. It's not... Hollywood has nothing to do with it. Now, if you look on YouTube and stuff, you may be... you may see people that have made fan films of their favorite movie and TV series. and this is sort of what this is like in a way in the fact that you know much like the fan films the people you know Hollywood has nothing to do with it it's just whatever comes out of these people's minds they make it and they you know they they start this campaign to help fund it and people who are interested in seeing a new take on one of their favorite movies that maybe Hollywood's just keeping on making remakes or whatever and people want to see a fresh new idea they'll pay money this is kind of the same thing it's not like a fan film it is a TV series but in the same way Hollywood has nothing to do with this And I highly doubt Hollywood would be interested In having a TV series A multi-season TV series About the life of Jesus And that's what The Chosen is about It's a TV series about the life of Jesus And you know it's It's a multi-season thing They're right now have two seasons out And working on a third That we should see probably by At least the end of this year I don't think they've started filming just yet But like I said Much like the fan films It's crowdfunded Because it's something where Hollywood has nothing to do with it So they have complete creative control of how they want to bring this out, what they want to say, and what they want it to look like. And they're crowned by the fans who agree with what they're doing. And I encourage you to go to their website. We're going to have some information in the description of where you can find them and get involved if you like the series but this is for those who may not have watched or maybe you haven't watched and you just want to hear my opinion of it but in case you've been living under a rock and you don't know what the chosen is about or maybe you have heard about it and you've been thinking about I want to give this a chance But I'm not sure I've had some people in my family You know that have You know Once I started talking about it They thought it was really neat And you know what I described of it But they're kind of hesitant And I can't say that I blame them Because you see When I came into The Chosen This was after September 11th Of this year And what had happened was I'm a fan of this show Called Drive Through History And what I like about it Is it's You know Like the first one I seen was Drive Through History of the Gospels And then after that I seen Drive Through History from Acts to Revelations And what it is is this guy Drives to these He talks about certain parts of the Bible And he drives to these locations Where these things actually took place Or where it's believed they took place anyway So if you read the word for yourself The word is a living word So it's not going to be just like reading Words on a page to you anyway The more you read it the more it comes to life And that show In addition to reading it just really helps bring the Bible life to me because you know not only am I seeing these words that are living words I'm also I'm actually seeing these places and kind of getting a mental picture of what they look like I mean of course you know none of this is going to look like it did back then I mean some of it may but I mean you think about you know I was born and raised in Texas and I've always had a interest in the Alamo. You go to San Antonio, it's not like the John Wayne movies and everything, where it's like, nothing's there but this little mission. The Alamo. You know, I mean, there's a hotel right next to it and everything, and you kind of get this, it kind of takes you out of it a little bit in a way. Because you're sitting there thinking, well why didn't the Texans go hide in the Crockett Hotel over here why don't they go over to the Ripley's Museum and hide in that you know different things like that you know because there's all this different stuff so I mean when you hit in your first glance you know it's not like you see in the John Wayne movies things like that and that's true for a lot of us you know biblical locations as well I mean there's some stuff that probably almost exactly like it was and And different things. But you know. They've had a lot of stuff. Go on over there. And plus it's been over. Several. Years. You know. So some of these things are. Thousands. And more years. As some of this. Stuff has taken place. But anyway. I've always enjoyed that show. Because you know. They. He drives these locations. And everything. And it just kind of gives you a. Visual. Along with the living word. That you keep reading about. So anyway. he had a he's been doing some specials and one of the things he did was a special on September 11th anyway church one night I was talking about that with the preacher talking about how you know how I like that show and you know because of all the stuff and then I asked the preacher if they'd seen it before and all that and they said they've they've seen a little bit of it and they liked it but probably not as in depth as I have and so anyway so as we're in the middle of talking about this a couple comes in here's this talking about Bible locations and different things didn't know exactly we're talking about they said are y'all talking about the chosen we're like no what's that so they tell us about it and we both say oh yeah that sounds like something I want to watch I go home that night and I watched the first half of season one and the next day I watched the second half of season one and of course I was I watched it on peacock and you can Watch season one on Peacock You can also watch it on 2BTV If you have that Which both of them are free Surprisingly Peacock has all of them free Or at least it did when I watched them Because Peacock Likes to brag about being free But usually You'll get one episode free And then the rest of it you gotta pray for their Premium thing But you can watch But Tubi You know they have a lot of Christian movies And a lot of all kinds of different other movies That you may be interested in But one of the things Is it's got Christian movies And quite a few different ones And The Chosen Season 1 Is also on there Hopefully Season 2 will show up soon Last time I checked it hadn't But doesn't mean that it won't And as far as I know Right now Season 2 is not on Peacock either. But those are two places, you know, two apps that you may already have. But if you want to watch Season 2, pretty much the only way to watch Season 2 is Chosen has an app. And it's on like Android and Apple. I think you can get it on Roku or Roku or whatever you want to call it you know you can get it on there I think it's under their Angel Studios app I think if you type in the chosen Angel Studios will pop up you download that you can watch all you know get that little app on your Roku and you'll have the chosen app and on the chosen app you can see both seasons absolutely free there's no like yeah there's like sections on there where you can like sign in and you can give them money to kinda help support them in different things but all the episodes are absolutely free and they're really good you know it's The Chosen like I said for someone who's never watched it yet or maybe you've heard of it but don't exactly know what it's about like I said it's about the life of Jesus but they kind of make Jesus real they kind of like they make him relatable they don't make him this person that we can't relate to You know, he'll joke And stuff and different things like that Which, you know, may throw somebody When you first see it But it really does make Jesus You see the human side of Jesus Because you think, I mean He went He lived this life in this world with a sinless life. But that doesn't mean that he was one of them people that were super religious that, you know, because, you know, before you're saved, or maybe you're not saved, and you think about Christians, you think that they're kind of kind of high on their horse a little bit, you know, like they and stuff and that they better than everybody And that what you kind of maybe think about Jesus like you know all the stuff that we do that is silly that you know not really worth anything you know we may think that Jesus probably thinks that we being silly or whatever you know but you know this just kind of brings him into a new light And I don't think it To me it doesn't seem like it You know takes away from what he's done It just makes him more relatable That we have Because Jesus What I believe The reason why Jesus came to this earth Was so that Because When God chose his people He told them what he wanted them to do how he wanted them to do it but of course because they were flawed they couldn't do it and maybe God was kind of a little you know thrown off by you know like why can't these people do what I want them to do so I believe that Jesus came, the reason why God came in the form of a man is so that he can understand our struggles. You know, whenever we mess, you know, whenever, because we can be told something and we know what's right to do, but sometimes in our flesh, you know, we mess up. And I think before God came to this earth in the form of a man to experience all the struggles That we go through He probably couldn't understand exactly what Why we Would Know that we weren't supposed to do this But we'd do it Because it's not because We just want to give something over on God We want to say Hi you told me this but I'm going to do what I want You know there's just There's times we struggle you know We know that we're not supposed to do Like say you got some You know because I believe that God doesn't take everything from us at once when He saves us. There are some things that He takes away right away. There are some things that are not a priority right now. Maybe it's something that keeps us grounded in our faith. That keeps us crying to God. Because that just keeps our eye on Him. Maybe that's why we keep some stuff. Or it doesn't go away as quick as we would like it to. So, you know, so I think that's why Jesus came because so he can see all the struggles that we deal with and understand what it is that we go through and he overcame it all. But he didn't, I don't think, believe that he came that he overcame it all with the uppity attitude. He said, okay, this is what these people are struggling with, I understand now. And I paid the price that I can forgive them for what they've done. Now I will tell you, when that couple at church was talking about this, I was a little intrigued, but also kind of weary. And people like to say that they think Christian movies and stuff are cheesy and corny and different things like that. There's a lot of Christian movies I enjoy. But I've got to say that I do not really care for biblical related movies. Now, I mean, it doesn't mean that if Jesus is in there, I don't like it. Because, I mean, there's a movie that I like a lot called Encounter. And it's where these people, it's like a modern day time. these people, they end up there's a storm or something going on and so this road that they all happen to be traveling and it's closed, they go back to this diner and Jesus is there and he tells them who he is from the start and you know different things like that, it's a really interesting movie there's also another set of movies that I really enjoy and they're perfect stranger movies The first one is called A Perfect Stranger Or The Perfect Stranger And then the second one is called Another Perfect Stranger And see what the first one is about Is this woman who is not a believer She ends up having a dinner date with Jesus And she thinks it's her husband Because it's at this restaurant That she wants to go to You know this old fancy restaurant That she's excited to go to And she thinks it's her husband who was supposed to be going to a ball game or something was surprising her but she ends up having an encounter with Jesus over dinner and anyway one of my favorite ones of those is this Christmas one and it's called The Perfect Gift and this is where Jesus comes to you know these are all The Perfect Stranger movies and The Encounter they're all you know kind of they're all modern day movies where Jesus is coming in our time And in this one, you know, he comes to this town around Christmas time and he encounters this associate pastor who was building a nativity scene. Cindy Helson building it. So anyway, there's movies like that that I enjoy. But as far as like biblical stuff, I get a little, you know, I don't care for them as much because a lot of stuff is not factual and it bothers me because I'm like, okay, if we're going to bring out a movie let's tell a real story and a good example for that is a movie I like a lot that I've seen since I was a kid and that's the Ten Commandments that came out in the 60's I believe it was and the thing I don't like about that is when I read the Bible to me it's saying from what I get out of it you may say that I'm wrong it's a fine but from what I get out of that story is he's asking Pharaoh saying the Lord wants us to to let us go so that we can worship the Lord you know go out and worship the Lord and but in the movie it's like just let us go like we just want out of here but to me it sounds like in the Bible to me it sounds like he's saying let us go out to worship the Lord but you know kind of almost seemed like they would come back in a way you know that's what it kind of sounded like in the Bible to me but in the movie it's like we're done with here we hate it here we're gone let us go I mean that's the intent in the Bible but I just think it was a word of different and it bothers me and you know there's been other movies and different things and there's some that are like big Hollywood things that have absolutely nothing to do with the Bible. It's supposed to be Bible related but it's just completely twisted. So you know with those type of things you know I just I typically don't want to watch them. So when they were telling me about The Chosen I'm like sounds cool I would like to see it but no I don't care. I don't care for these biblical movies because at least if they show them a different time it's not like you're quoting from the gospels or anything it's just what he kind of handled in today's so anyway I started watching it and really enjoyed it Like I said, the first time I watched the first four episodes Because, you know, we got home at 8 or so After church You know, I opened up my computer And I'm kind of thinking, okay, should I watch this show or not? And I kind of struggled with it for a little bit And I said, okay, you know what, we'll give it a chance You know, if we don't like it, we'll turn it off And like I said, I enjoyed it And every episode is really good I think it just gets better and better But there's an episode If I had to pick a favorite I would say Season 1 Episode 3 And then Season 1 Episode 6 Is my second And I say that because Season 1 Episode 3 is one I recommend people watch. If you haven't seen The Chosen just give yourself a 30 minute period go on to Tubi or Peacock or wherever wherever you can find The Chosen watch Season 1 Episode 3 it's called Jesus Loves His Little Children Oh my lord it's amazing It's about this little girl Her name is Abigail I don't know how old this little girl is Ten years old or so I don't know Anyway She goes off You know like She does her chores and different things You know that's what her parents tell her to do at one point in the show So You know after she does all her normal stuff she just goes off to play. And she likes to go play by the stream. But her mom tells her not to go swimming. So she goes off and she comes to this camp. And there's a fire going and everything. And there's just stuff all about. So she's kind of taking a look. There's a little wooden spoon there. and she's got her little doll that she's got on her little belt that she has around her little dress there. So she pulls out the thing and she's pretending she's feeding her little doll. And then she sees these like woodworking tools or, you know, whatever, you know, crafting tools. And she's kind of like taking a look at those and then she kind of folds it back up and she just needs to look at different things, you know, just like a child would, you know. And so she ends up where she, she finds that this, there's this bowl and it has some food in it. Looked kind of dark. It could have been like dark grapes or I don't know exactly what it was. So she first, you know, was feeding her little doll you know it just kind of putting it to its mouth and then she starts to take a bite and then she hears like a a leaf leaves getting stepped on so she runs back and she she hides behind this like little log formation thing and then she just takes off running and the next day she brings her friend with her and his name is Joshua and And she's talking about how There was all this stuff And that there were some tools That she didn't know what they were And stuff And she goes And there was some food And she said Even though I was hungry I didn't take any Because it would be wrong She goes But maybe we can take some today And then she's talking about How maybe she would think He was dangerous And everything you know I don't know I'm saying that a lot But I'm just trying to Trying to set up the story A little bit So They end up Hiding around this rock formation thing. And Jesus is there. And so he's praying before and he's breaking bread. And he says, and he doesn't even look at them. He's just aware that they're there. I mean, he might kind of give a little glance over or something, you know, but he's just praying and he says if there's any children, if there are two children that were That they could come out of hiding And come and say hello So anyway They both hiding and everything and and then Jesus starts going starts making you know different things like he goes he goes what is that when it's like a cow doesn't make that noise and just name all this different stuff and everything when they pop out of the out of the behind from the rock formation and they start talking to him and stuff and and then they hang out with him for a little bit then they leave then they come back and the girl brings more people more friends with her and they wake him up and then so then he goes and busts his teeth in the stream and then they help him make some stuff and everything and and he gets him he asked them to quote this this thing called the small which is like this uh kind of like a prayer I guess it's like a anyway you have to watch it to know what I'm talking about this time I love in the Lord your God with all your heart soul and mind and spirit and And everything. Talking about him being your God and different things. So he asked them to do that. And then at one point, they're singing together and stuff. And then at one point, he's around this campfire. And you can't hear a lot of, if you have the subtitles on, you can kind of hear a little bit what the story is going about. But there's music playing, so you can't really hear exactly what the story is going on. but like But just like he did whenever he drew them out from behind that rock formation when he did the When different things like that making different noises and got them to giggling and popping up You know he's telling this story to this group of kids and he just goes And just growls, you know and like stands up, you know, and there's this one little girl. They started just kind of has this Face like she's just kind of splatted, you know, like kind of you know, like a star holder So just little funny stuff like that But also what's cool about it And kind of cute Is Is you know he's You know he's You know Relating to these kids You know doing funny stuff like I said And he's also You know they're also singing and things like that And they're helping him work And he's also He also teaches them and he teaches them pretty much what he starts going through his ministry to teach of course this is not biblical related we know that Jesus set a kid in the middle and said that everybody should have faith in a little child and different things but this whole episode this was kind of not really in the Bible but it was you can imagine that Jesus doing something like this because of you know just what it says in the Bible about you know where he tells them not to suffer the kids to come to him and things like that so anyway there's this one point where this boy he was telling him about how he got in a fight in this school and he says that these people was that this person was pushing him. And he wouldn't leave him alone. He said, and finally I pushed him so hard he fell down. Then Jesus goes, well, that's why you got in trouble. He goes, did you expect something else? And he goes, but the kid called the scripture saying, you know, that the rabbis told him, it's an eye for an eye. And then he goes, yeah, but that's for a judge to decide. You're not in a court of law. and he went on telling them that we should let God be the judge in different things. He started teaching them all this different stuff. And it was, like I said, it's a really good episode. Like I said, there's that funny side. There's that light-hearted funny side where Jesus is making the noises and then he's telling that story and screaming at the campfire and stuff. Because that's something fun you do when you're camping out. You've got kids around. You're telling ghost stories or whatever. You do some point and you just scream and make everybody scream. And different things like that. So it's funny seeing that. But he's also teaching them pretty much what he's going to be doing. What he came here to do. like this like we know Jesus goes to his hometown of Nazareth and reads from Isaiah the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he's anointed me to preach the gospel you know all that from Isaiah 61 verse 1 he says that to the kids because they ask him why is he there and that's what he tells them he quotes that verse and then this one little boy the one that came with her originally he said Isaiah and then he tells them that you know that that he's going to be doing more you know in his ministry and things like that so like I said it's a very good episode if you only watch one episode watch that one I guarantee you'll end up watching the rest But if If you need a little bit more Then I recommend episode 6 season 1 Because the two kids They recently came to visit Jesus They're in there again Now see at the beginning It starts off with this This man he goes into this What we You know What we know today as a pawn shot And he's trying to sell his tools And they're in pretty good condition and everything And And he's doing it because he's got sick family And that's all he has left is his tools So The guy tries to lowball him just because He doesn't know him Because he's you know he goes into a different town to try to sell his stuff and whenever they're arguing over the him being lowballed and saying you know this stuff's worth this and that he ends up pulling away at this cloth that he had over his arm. Turned out he was a leper so you know he kicks him out and saying that saying that you couldn't just save everybody and just die. You had to go and spread your disease to everybody else. So anyway, he goes down the road and he knows about Jesus because in episode 5 was the wedding at Canaan. And he had a relative that was at the wedding. So he knew what Jesus can do. So he meets Jesus on the road. And that episode's pretty neat Because the disciples They're reacting like you assume they would At that time Because God said not to come to a leper You don't have to touch him or anything Or you'd be unclean So as this leper's walking up They're covering their mouths They're drawing their swords and everything ready to fight this guy to get him away from him. And Jesus just takes off his, you know, little backpack thing he has with him. And he approaches them and they're like, telling Rabbi, don't touch him. He's unclean and everything. He said, it's fine. And then he tells them that he knows who he is. And he believes he can make him clean if he wants to. And he said he will. And he tells them right from there. And there's this Egyptian woman. And which There isn't anything about this Egyptian woman in the Bible But we do hear about the healing We don't know I don't recall ever hearing in the Bible That one of the lepers knew that Jesus because of the family being at the wedding But that's the connection they make Because that was his first miracle Was the wedding of Canaan Her Tana And anyway so She goes and So she sees them Heal the leper and she runs off So Jesus ends up After he heals the leper They go back into town And on the show They're at John and Andrew's house With their parents You know with Zebedee And And Jesus Is hanging out with them then people come up and they start talking to him and asking different questions and he gives different examples like you know from Matthew 6 talking about you know praying in secret and also you know giving in secret because this woman asked him how can she pray because she doesn't she doesn't know how to know all the big words like they do in the synagogues and stuff at church and he goes don't worry about what they do whenever you pray just go and go into your room and shut the door and pray to your father in secret and he'll reward you and he said don't worry about the words that they speak and everything and he goes in the same way you know when you give don't let your right hand know what your left hand is doing and he goes and then this man I I'm thinking he was the same the husband of the woman so he ends up saying how can my left hand not know what my right hand is doing what I mean is don't celebrate about it don't talk about it and don't even congratulate yourself the same way some neat stuff he's bringing out in there that is scriptural maybe not all happened at that time but maybe he said it at different times for different people. So anyway, one thing is Matthew hadn't given called yet but Matthew's in his booth and the soldiers that are with him hear that there's a gathering in this part of the town so they've got to check it out and Matthew comes with him and people are treating him like you figure they would by what the Bible says because the Bible makes it sound like the tax collectors were hated people and that's what they treated Matthew they thought Matthew turned his back on his people so at one point there's this guy spit on him and different things and at one point just after he gets spit on Graves start hitting him And he's like Cutting his head He goes I just want to hear the teacher speak And then there's those two kids From episode 3 And they're like Come up here And he goes And he asks them how to get up there And they said the ladder That's like literally in front of his face So he climbs up there with him And And Peter Who had already been called at the time from like episode four I believe it is so he helps Matthew the rest of the way up and he tells the kids he goes the man speaking is and then the girl goes Jesus Nazareth Jesus from that Jesus of Nazareth and then the boy Joseph goes we know him and then so that's pretty funny right there you know and then so Matthew's like watching along with him and stuff then that Egyptian woman she comes up and this is the story you know where we hear about the other the people trying to bring the crippled man to get healed but there is no room to get in so that they're trying to squeeze their way through and everything and they end up going to the roof of Zebedee's house and they're breaking everything through through the roof you know like it talks about how they break up the roof to get in and they let him down and about this time the Pharisees have heard you know that everything is going on so you know maybe it may not be exact to what the word says you know different things but I think it does the word justice and everything And all the people there to heal, the kids are cheering after he gets healed, different things. And it's, like I said, it's a good follow-up if you really don't want to watch it. I would recommend three and then six. But I think if you watch three, you're going to watch all the way up to 6. And then you're going to watch all the way up until season 2 episode 8. That's a really good show. I mean, I think they do the word justice. I mean, like I said, it may not be exact, but and like I said, I mean, like Ten Commandments and stuff. I mean, that's just me kind of nitpicking everything. It's, you know, it's not as bad as some of the you know movies that have been released lately where it has absolutely nothing to do with what the word says which I don't have to mention them you may know what I'm talking about maybe you don't but there is a couple movies and you can email me and ask if you want to but there's I mean but so you know like them like the Ten Commandments and stuff, it may not be exact on point. But it's not something that's going to lead you away from the Word. You know, you're not going to be confused like you know, reading the Word and watching that, you know. You're going to kind of get the same picture. Like I said, it's not going to be, probably not exact. You know, I haven't went verse by verse with everything. But it's a really good show It's touching a lot of people I think they said it's in over 70 countries It's in multiple languages I heard the guy who directs it Say something about it recently I can't remember exactly What the stats are on it But you know People are getting touched by it And hopefully people are getting saved If not they're at least Learning about Jesus more And I pray that by it People go okay This Jesus I'd like to know more about him He sounds like somebody I'd like to get to know so hopefully you know hopefully that will help people to get to know the Lord hopefully they'll come to the same knowledge of Jesus Christ knowing that you know that Jesus wasn't this God on the mountain that we can't touch he was somebody here relatable that you know that you know that if we if he was here today we used to be somebody relatable that we could have a conversation with whether we're saved or not be somebody relatable we can have a conversation with them there's this I'm gonna tell us one funny story and apparently that I'd heard that some people had a lot of problems with this there's this one part in season two Jesus is visiting know this man and his his foot I guess had broken killed wrong so it turned out that he had robbed somebody because you You know, he was down on his luck, you know, couldn't feed his family and everything. And so he had this plan, him and this buddy were going to rob this guy. And he was going to sell the guy's horse, you know, to make money to provide for his family. And so what had happened is as he's riding off on this stranger's horse that he just stole, the horse bucked him off and he fell and broke his foot. So Jesus ends up having two of his disciples till a garden for him. And then he comes to have dinner with him. And the guy's telling him, Jesus is like, I'm not worthy for you to be at my house. And he tells him that he's a bad person and what he's done and everything. And as they're going about, as they're about to leave, Jesus said something like, yeah, I guess we should go on because you never know what kind of person we'll encounter on our way. And then he looks around and goes, what, too soon? And it was so funny. A lot of people had problems with that. But it just shows how it was kind of, you know, it's kind of a relatable thing to think that Jesus would be funny like that. And there's this one part You know Episode 7 When Jesus calls Matthew Peter's just all against it He's like He's not the type of person We need here and everything And then Jesus goes People have probably said the same thing about you And he goes Yeah but this is different And he goes Well expect different Or get used to different because you know that's Jesus came to save us who are not worthy that's why he called you know Matthew's here because you know all me like none of us like the day you know his disciples I mean some more fishermen stuff which you know wasn't a trade of you know it was like a labor he wasn't it was like say try to think of this in the nowadays tent let's say you got this like company like at this big company you got your CEOs and things like that and then you got these like lowly mail room people or or maybe they're like work in the factory part of the of the building or something so they're like when you think about the executives and stuff yes compared to these guys are like working the warehouse and mailroom and stuff you know these people that are executives kind of think of these people as not even worthy to be in the room with them type of thing you know that's just how you know sometimes the business people are they just getting this mindset that they're higher above everybody else because they make more money. But we all put our pants on one leg at a time. And everything. But that's pretty much how other fishermen were considered. And for Jesus to call fishermen instead of people of an important status was just one thing they've done. so anyway like I said I mean it's you know just kind of get it kind of makes Jesus more relatable and everything so I pray that you give this show a chance you know like I said there's there's people family in my life I've told them about the show and you know they they used to be used to go to church they end up getting burned and everything and they're like they think it sounds good and everything everything did get one of them to watch that Christmas movie though during Christmas season you know we were just up one night nobody could sleep and we're just watching watch the Christmas movies wind up watching this one you know one of them ones like her nowadays love movie thing and then and then I said well there's one I love to watch that I haven't seen yet but y'all probably wanna watch it and they're like what is it not so I describe it to him so I'm like look I want you to be informed of what's going on before you watch it it is a Christian movie and I said it's about Jesus coming to the coming to the real world you know this modern times and comes to visit and like yeah watch it they end up enjoying it or at least they said they didn't maybe they didn't who knows but I'm gonna watch that but I haven't gonna be what's the chosen yet but I keep saying just watch season 1 episode 3 you're gonna fall in love with the show before you know you're gonna you'll be up all night till episode 2 8's gone and then you'll probably watch episode 1 1 1 and 1 2 just to catch up or maybe you might enjoy episode 3 so much that you watch 1 and 2 then skip on to 4 or maybe watch 3 again who knows but you're going to enjoy it I believe so because it is a great show I think the people who made the show are doing a great job at showing Jesus and showing a relatable Jesus It's not somebody that You know that's High on a mountain that we can't get to You know like we said We don't know how Jesus was Maybe he was like the Returned and chosen Maybe he was like The assumptions we've had beforehand We don't know We wasn't there We won't know until we Meet him face to face Of course depending on what decision And we're making life We might not see that side of them anyway But Just take the time Just take 30 minutes out of your day Watch episode Season 1 episode 3 If you don't watch any others Just watch that And I guarantee you'll fall in love with it You can find us on Facebook and Twitter At JesusLightTalk and we want to hear from you we want to hear your story we want to hear your testimony email us at jesuslighttalk at gmail.com send us your story so you'd like to you know write me an email tell me how you'd like to talk to me we can either do it where we can do like an interview thing where we can burst back and forth or if you just want to tell your story uninterrupted where you feel like you want to get what you want to say out without having someone interrupt you send me an audio file or a video of you talking we'll attach it however you want to do it we want you to be a part of this show I want to have My goal is to have every single Person on this earth that knows Jesus right now Share a story on this podcast I mean I'm sure I won't get everybody that's in this world Who loves Jesus on this show but I want to get as many people as I can For as long as I'm here Because whatever you're going through Whatever God brought you through Whether it was something you're going through today Something you went through yesterday A month ago, whatever There's something that God's brought you through A testimony A story that you have in your heart That you could share on this show And someone may be listening God's sending them to this podcast Just to hear that story And it's exactly what they'll need So Share your stories with us However you want to get in touch We can make a Zoom call We can talk on the phone And I can record audio You can just Send me an audio file, a video However you want to do it But let's get you on the show Let's email me Let's discuss it JesusLapTalk At gmail.com Until next week I hope you have a great week And God alone will be back And hopefully we'll have somebody That we can hear their story Unless you want to hear me talk again Want to hear me talk?
