Hello and welcome to Brighter Day Baptist Church Daily Devotional. We're studying today is about faith and a lot of times we need our faith when facing difficulties in our life. Faith is an unseen substance. we all see in the Bible with the great disciples that faith is what we need in our lives when we are facing difficulty times not even in difficulty times but we'll start reading here and delivering the scriptures and hope it blesses you today let's pray dear heavenly father we just thank you so much for our listeners today Lord and we just thank you so much Lord that they can tune in to us Lord and we just ask you Lord to bless them Lord and please be watch over them and protect them so Lord we just ask you Lord for your blessings on this message let it touch everybody's lives in Christ's name we pray Amen so let's begin up here I got it all posted up on the board and we'll read through this and then I got some more scripture in the Bible here that we will be looking at so let's go ahead and look up here let me use my bifocals again sorry about this I will not let thee go except those bless me and that's in Genesis 32 26 it says let me take hold of my strength that he may make peace with me he shall make peace with me. O woman, great in thy faith, be it unto thee, even as thou wilt. According to your faith, be it unto you. Let him ask in faith knowing wavering from he he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. they drew nigh into the village whether they went and Jesus made Jesus made as though he would have gone further but they constrained him saying abide with us he vanished out of their sight And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? I pray thee if I have found grace in thy sight show me now the way that I may know thee that I may find grace in thy sight my presence shall go with thee I will give thee rest now we've read some verses there showing that we shouldn't waver either in our faith. You know, that, you know, sometimes we do and we ask God for certain things and it don't come to pass because maybe it might be because we're asking him to do the wrong thing. You know, we waver in our mind. you know we need to be steadfast in our faith you know so and the last verse I thought was really neat was the first thing he did he says I pray thee if I have found grace in thy sight You know, prayer, you know, is the number one thing for communication with God is prayer. And he asked, you know, if he found grace in his sight. But we're going to go over here to the Bible now. And I got some other things here that I wanted to show you. But Abraham found difficulty. God asked him to move his whole entire family. And so they left everything they had and they went into Egypt. And doing so at this time, there was a famine. and anyway during this famine you know here he left a perfectly good place you know and he traveled into Egypt and here this famine took place and you know as Christians you know we tend to say why me Lord why did you put why did you bring me out of this this good prosperous land or why did you move me from this job? It was doing good. Now I'm in this job and it's just terrible and we complain, okay? So let me read this to you and hopefully this helps you a little bit. So we're in Genesis 12 and it'll be verse 10. it says this is the commentary speaking when famine struck Abraham he went to Egypt where there was food he went from the famine to find this food why would God allow a famine in the land where he had just called Abraham There was a test, Abraham's faith, and Abraham passed. He didn't question God leading. When facing this difficulty, many believers find that when they determine to follow God, they immediately encounter great obstacles. The next time you face such a test, don't try to second guess what God is doing. Use the intelligence God gave you as Abraham did when he temporarily moved to Egypt and to wait for new opportunities. So let me take you some reverses back because I know what I said. Abraham's lamb was good, but then it came a famine. Then he had to move to Egypt to get food. But, you know, during that time when this famine came, you know, with Abraham, he could have got mad. He could have said, why, God, why are you doing this? But he didn't. And he moved where God wanted him to move to provide for him. and he's waiting for new opportunities. So maybe God's moving you and you don't know why God's moving you, but it's for new opportunities. So when that task comes up in your life, you know, it could be trying to find a new home and that new home ain't coming clear to you or a new house. We just, you got to wait and have faith and wait for those opportunities for the right time to take it. Hey, have a great day and thanks for tuning in. Let's end in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, we just thank you for our listeners. We just thank you for this time that we could share. In Christ's name we pray. Amen.
