Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans. This is Jason Lagerpast. Jay here with you once again, bringing you another Silver Screen Spotlight. And today we're looking at some really interesting releases that have, you know, recently been released from Kino Lorber. And these are from Kino Lorbo Studio Classics And they are We've waited off to do these Because these are all together These are Who doesn't love a little B-sci-fi horror movie I love them And these are all brand new releases Just been released within the last Somewhere, you know, a couple days to a month Depending on the release, right? But we're talking about two brand new releases One is a triple feature and one is just the one film But these are really, really cool packaging And we're going to jump right into it First let's talk about the triple feature Edgar G. Ulmer This is the Sci-Fi Collection Pretty cool These are three Sci-Fi films B-Sci-Fi films from back in the day pretty pretty awesome we're talking 50s and 60s actually 1951 and 1960 and 1960 so pretty cool we're talking the man from planet X beyond the time barrier and the amazing transparent man now we're not going to go into a deep dive of all these because we have written full written reviews and you can watch go read all those but we did just want to spotlight them The Man from Planet X is all about an interesting scout from another planet that has been sent to Earth and how humankind reacts to him just because of the way he looks Pretty interesting. Then you've got Beyond the Time Barrier. This is a really cool, this is probably one of my favorites of the three, but they're all great. But this is probably my favorite of the three. Beyond the Time Barrier talks about a man that is an astronaut who goes on this spaceship, and he ends up hitting like a time warp and goes into the future. And when he gets to the future, he finds that mankind has completely been sterilized, and it's all because of the things that have happened. And so he has to go back in time and try to fix it by telling the world that something bad is going to happen with what we're doing. And it's a warning and all that. I love that. I always love time travel. So that is probably one of my favorites. Then Amazing Transparent Man is pretty awesome as well. All about a guy that has been released or helped escape, I should say, from jail. and all for a purpose that he will steal a certain element so that this mad scientist can create a race of invisible people so that he can have this army to do evil things. That is typical B sci-fi. I mean, that right there, when you talk B science fiction, people, that's what you're talking about. You're talking that amazing transparent man. That is typical B science fiction right there. I love it. This comes with a beautiful slipcover. Love that Pretty cool slipcover Same artwork on the inside and of course the beautiful black and white discs are there for the Blu on Amazing Transparent Man this trilogy Now, a lot of people would say, well, three films on one Blu-ray, wow, you're going to suffer a lot of quality. You're actually not suffering anything in this quality. The quality of this is absolutely spectacular. I was really shocked. All of these look really, really good. So, yeah, I'm really happy with it. we get audio commentaries for these films and theatrical trailers all kind of cool stuff so definitely one of my favorites love this newer release from Kino Lorber then back in the day here on the shelf back here let's pull it out so we can show you back in the day in 1975 Steven Spielberg brought us Terror from the Deep with Jaws. And who wasn't scared to death and scared to go in the water after they saw Jaws? Well, after that, people began to see that maybe we can make some movies that deal with the deep. And thus we got, in 1977, Tentacles. This is B-movie 70s perfection. This actually has a very amazing cast I mean, you get John Huston and Shelley Winters And Henry Fonda Right there's a triple threat right there Wow, great stuff But this is all about a threat that coming from the deep And it all about this mutated octopus that is you know eating and destroying people and all this type of stuff. And it's just, it's B-movie to perfection. Love those B-movies. This is pretty cool. You've got the amazing slipcover here. This slipcover is gorgeous. And the interesting thing is you get the same artwork on the insert or you have different artwork. Now, we did the different artwork so that we have this. That's the different artwork. Now, you can have the same artwork if you like this one on your Blu-ray case, in the Blu-ray case. But I like having the different artwork. I think that's pretty cool. So, yeah, that is pretty awesome. Now, included in this is a little light. We don't get as much with the bonus features that we would hope. But there is a radio spot and a theatrical trailer as well as other trailers for other Kino Lorber Studio Classic releases, which is pretty nice. And, yeah, this is a really, really fun little film. Both of these films have been released and both of them have been reviewed on Classic Cinema Plus. so if you're a fan of B-science fiction movies definitely check these out from Keena Lorber you can get the full written reviews at our official website Classic Cinema Plus we want to remind you to like, share and subscribe to these videos until we see you next time this is Jason Lockard, Pastor Jay wishing you a blessed day and reminding you that if you want to see a great film check out a classic and we will see you next time for another Silver Screen Spotlight see you next time, bye .
