a Baptist church dot com daily devotional we're speaking about a topic today David is really putting it out there about these people so let me tell you about the thing here it says only the fools deny God who how foolish it must seen to God when people say God does not exist. And that is true. So we're going to pray and we're going to get started. I'm going to bring my Bible down here and we'll get started. Let's pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we just thank you so much, Lord, for this message today. Lord, let it apply to our bodies and our minds. Lord, let us seek you daily for your word. and that it apply to our bodies and our minds, Lord. We just thank you for our listeners, Lord. We thank you for sharing your word with others. And we just thank you, Lord, to just please put me aside and help me speak clearly that they can understand the word. In Christ's name we pray. Amen. So, if you have your Bibles, we're in Psalms, chapter 14, and it says, The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt. They have done abominable works. There is none that doeth good. The Lord looketh down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any that did understand and seek God. they all are gone aside they there are all together become filthy there is none that doeth good no not one have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge who eat up my people as they eat bread and call upon the Lord there were they in great fear of God is in this generation of the righteousness Yea have shamed the counsel of the poor because the Lord is his refuge Oh, that the salvation of Israel will come out of Zion, when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people. Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. you know, it's a topic and a half that why would you say that there's no God? I mean, there's more evidence to prove that there is a God. I mean, look around us, right? I mean, look at creation. And look at the stars and the heavens. I mean, there is a God who created us and create everything that's in existence. So let's look at what chapter 14, verse 1 through 3 here in the commentary. A fool is not someone who is stupid and uneducated, but rather a person who rejects God. By rejecting God, the fool rejects the one who made the moral and spiritual laws that make life just and good. A fool is indeed corrupt and evil because to deny God's existence allows wickedness and prevail the people. Paul quotes this verse in Romans 3, 10 through 12, as he mourns the lack of single-headedness toward God, And thus the rampant spread of evil the wise one or the wise on the other hand not only believe that there is a God but also strives to please him To believe there is a God but refuses to please him in another way of being foolish Don't be a fool or either sort. you know it's really weird how these analogies are and I'm kind of bringing it into play like it is I've never seen anything like this it is so why would people believe there's just not no God I mean we have too much evidence I mean that there is a God. Let me read something from the phone and we'll bring it together hopefully. David says this is because the plain evidence that there is a God evidence is both creation and human. Conscience that Paul described in Romans 1, the fact that some men insist on denying the existence of God does not erase God from the universe. It instead speaks that their own standing as fools, as Paul wrote in Romans 1, 22. professing to be wise, they became fools. You know, as we look at this, you know, they're trying to say, hey, that there's no God, and he don't exist, that everything, it flashed, it banged, it came into existence. where, you know, maybe brought in from the cells and became a fish and then turned into a monkey and probably evolution, right? But my thinking is, if that's the case, why have we not evolved into something else? There was a scientist actually that turned Christian and went around and talked to people And he was funny that this came into play. He was standing beside a woman at the Grand Canyon. And the woman said, oh, look what millions and millions of years did. and the scientist that became a Christian, he says, no, look what God did with the flood. See, here's the thing. People are trying to push that there's no God. So they're trying to put more evidence that there's no God. But there's like a belief, right, and faith. When everything hits them, let me tell you, when troubles hit them, what are they going to do? They're going to cry out to God. That's right. When troubles and trials come and hit them, they're going to cry out to God. Listen, it's in prayer, but it's been a tongue-twisty day for me here on this topic. but there's definitely, I want to put this again, there is definitely a God who created us, who loves us and watches over us and protects us. There is a God. Don't be foolish like these people that don't believe. That's my point today to give to you. That's in the prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this time. thank you Lord for your wisdom Lord help us not to be so pulled into stuff that we don't believe that you exist Lord we know you exist you went to the cross you sent your son and died for us Lord we know Lord that every day we're being watched by your holy eyes we just thank you Lord for your love and please Lord just watch over my listeners and watch over them and protect them as they go wherever they may go we just thank you for your presence Lord in Christ's name we pray amen
