dot com uh i've been away i've been under the weather a little bit but i'm back now uh we got a sermon today and i think this sermon is going to be a blessing to everyone that is hearing it uh did a little study here today and i hope this will be a blessing uh It is entitled, God is our fortress. And I think we struggle a lot in our time and we go through changes. It makes difficulties. We see a lot of stuff that's around us that causes us fear. So I believe this message is entitled to that, how we can get through it. So let's start in a word of prayer and then we'll begin. Dear Heavenly Father, we just thank you again, Lord, for this opportunity to share your word, Lord, to others. Lord, please, Lord, just forgive me in my ways, Lord, and shortcomings. We ask you, Lord, to bless our service today, Lord, and just help those in need. In Christ's name we pray. Amen. So I'm going to open up the Bible and read it through here, what we're going to read. then I'll have some stuff at the very end of the message. So let's go ahead and get that up on our screen. And it says here in Psalms 46.1 is where we're going to be. It is God is our fortress. You know, God is our fortress. All right. I just love that. So let's go ahead into the next one here. It says God is our refuge and strength and very present help in trouble You know we look at trouble and we face anxieties but what does it say? It says God is our refuge and strength. Sometimes we need strength and you find strength in God and a very present help in trouble. So let's go ahead and go to our next one. it says therefore we will not fear though the earth gives away though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea right that's a lot to take in right so let's go ahead though the waters roar and foam though the mountains tremble and it's swelling there is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. See, a lot of times when we go through these troubles and trials, there is a city called heaven, the holy habitation of the Most High, right? and he will never be moved. And he knows exactly what's going on in this earth. God is in the midst of her. She shall not be moved. God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage. the kingdom's totter. He utters his voice, the earth melts. The power of God See here He utters his voice the earth melts The nations can rage and the kingdoms can totter but God is in control. And then I stipulated this in red, but the Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our fortress. He is our fortress. Now that your eyes are open, make the sun jealous with your burning passion to start the day. Make the sun jealous or stay in the sun. Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth. It says our eyes are open. Make the sun jealous with your burning passion to start the day. I think that means we should start our day in God's word. Make it a passion, a burning passion to start the day praying and asking God for help and just talking to God. Make the son jealous to stay and become, behold, the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolation on the earth. Okay, so we're going to move on. he makes war he makes war cease to the end of the earth he breaks the bow and shatters the spear he burns the chariots with fire so God in control any wars anything he can make them stop No problem Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. Right now, you know that a lot of times God is not being exalted, and there's a lot of stuff that I believe is in the media and stuff like that that's going on, and God's not being exalted. But look here what he says. Be still and know that I am God, and I will be exalted among the nations, and I will be exalted in the earth. So I believe time will come when Jesus comes back that he will be exalted. That's for definite. Okay? And then we're at our last thing. The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our fortress. Remember that. The God of Jacob is our fortress in any times, in any troubles. And so let me put this back out here. So sorry I've been away for so long. But, you know, I know that a lot of people is out there in stress and they need comfort. All I ask is tell you today is that God is our fortress. And anytime you need help, you can pray to him and you can get help. Let's end in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, we just thank you so much for this message, Lord. I hope it blesses someone. We just thank you for this time, Lord, that we can share. Lord, thank you for being our fortress, Lord. Let our hearts be kindled and burnt for you, Lord. and let this day be a great day and for our listeners. In Christ's name we pray. Amen.
